    This is my next board! From Portland, Oregon where I was born is pretty sweet! The Booger having the same drive train is as their flagship longboard is just awesome. No corners cut here! Thanks for the great review Dred Sk8.

      Happy to help, the pocket rockets feel way beefier, over all a nice package hours put together if what you real want is a capable short board 🤙

    Between this and the phantom its awesome seeing some new designs for boards coming out. Id love to ride that thing, beautiful board and looks really really fun. Nice work

      @@DredSk8 Haha yeah, I really enjoyed riding it and reviewing it. I need to bug Hoyt I guess as well lol. This board almost looks too nice to ride.

      Don't fall for that trick this thing is built to be ridden like a rented mule lol

      The dred score has faded out a bit in my recent vids, I just need to find new motion graphics but I still keep a spreadsheet with all my testing scores 😅

    Cool video 🤙🤙 cool looking little board.

    The Phantome looks cool but the drop down on both ends for a short board seems unsafe and uncomfortable. Plus Im not fond of the production in China portion of the process. With Hoyt it feels good to know everything is put together in the US and its sustainably built with quality parts

    • @DredSk8
      @DredSk8  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah the cost is all in the body for the Phantom, I'm curious about the ride feel, but honestly if I had to make that split second decision between the Hoyt or the Phantom it would be Hoyt every time, just better track record on service and quality, bit I have hopes Miles is trying to evolve past being just a lifestyle microbrand

    I have Diablo EL1, it was a worst mistake bud. At least thus one is using Stormcore.
    Motors both were shot in few weeks of using. Sure they have great customer service and that's about it coz otherwise how do they survive in this game. I'm going La Croix Supersport Lonestar yo.

    • @DredSk8
      @DredSk8  Před 3 lety +2

      Everyone's got their own experience, sucks you had a bad one but I can honestly say this is the first negative encounter I have seen, generally there components are top tier and service is tight, the EL1 is definitely in an odd place now though performance wise vs the rest of the market. That being said supersport is In a while different class.

      @@DredSk8 u don't own one, bud. Period. If u do u will know. Ask around. How many actual reviews legit ones do they have?

    • @DredSk8
      @DredSk8  Před 3 lety +1

      I owned one for about two months bud, a used one at that and held up just fine, did a full review on it as well, not invalidating your experience nothings perfect but I stand by my own expirience and thoughts on their general quality.

      @@DredSk8 Kool, I like ur videos genuinely.
      This is my experience as u said. I completely understand. I wasn't gonna say anything but something fishy is going on with Hoyt. No real reviews, none.

    • @DredSk8
      @DredSk8  Před 3 lety +1

      I think it's more to do with the small customer base than anything, I can't imagine they sell a ton of boards in general, would be cool to get a user group together or something though like LaCroix has.

      thanks for the reply. I just found that bag. It looks pretty good. I'm looking for some practical way to carry board around with you when your at shops or wherever. Just a way to throw it over the shoulder as such or carry it.

    • @DredSk8
      @DredSk8  Před 3 lety

      Happy to help,do keep in mind its sized specifically for the Hoyt if you are looking for a generic bag i would recommend checking out Alterbags for a more general purpose everyday carry 🤙

      @travistravis7190 Před 3 lety +1

      @@DredSk8 Im more leaning towards a universal shoulder strap that I can attach to either electric longboard or short board. I've seen a couple that just wrap around the tracks so to speak with a shoulder strap but never tried or or dont know which ones of that type work the best. I'm not really looking for a bag to be honest, just a carrying solution.

      Didn't actually try but you could def top mount them at the very least, I think there should be enough clearance though.

    They focus too much on form over function.

    • @DredSk8
      @DredSk8  Před 3 lety

      I somewhat disagree, that definitely feels more true of the EL1 but the booger is all brass and built to be ridden and specs are much more in line with the form factor this time around.

    • @WAVMOB
      @WAVMOB Před 3 lety

      Art is Art, but I can agree for the EL1 but this Booger was designed to have even weight distribution front to back and use it as a real SKATE in this case ESK8. Looking forward to add this in my collection and possibly the next EL2 or Remix EL1
