    I owned this bike 7-8 years ago, man what a sound! Currently riding Tuono V4, but if I'm honest I can't push and squeeze it as hard as the Z8, it's too dangerous. There's a sweet spot between 110-150 hp for the streets. With a tune, slip on and a 45t rear sprocket it's hard to beat the Z8, super aggressive, so willing, so eager to please.

    Any Tipps on making the Bike make more misfires? I got a Z800e with SC-Project Conic and it already does a lot but I am pretty new to biking still and would love to get some tipps regarding the amount of throttle or RPM I have to give to make it misfire etc. Thanks!

    • @zseries751
      @zseries751  Před rokem +1

      Remove the catalytic converter (assuming you wont get into too much problems with the law). The catalytic converter dampens the noise and brutality alot. Second, get an aftermarket high flow air filter. And then finally, if you want to make the bike pop and misfire, when running high revs and decelerating, give just a tiny bit of throttle. You'll see the bike either pops, or it gurgles. Cheers

    • @zseries751
      @zseries751  Před 3 lety +2

      The z800 has a "Reconstructed" slip on exhaust, they are locally made in South Africa. And yes, the catalytic converter has been removed :)

    Awesome channel! I got the z800 sugomi too. Mine used to make the popping, crispy hoarse like noises when slowing. It's the best sound, love the sound of yours. Is there a way to get that back? I've racked up 14000 and had it remapped so not sure if that's a factor

    • @zseries751
      @zseries751  Před 3 lety +10

      What's up bud! So Red's z800 has clocked almost 47 000km, and it still has that popping. But, he only has a slip-on. No remap or any ECU work. When you remove the stock exhaust you change the back-pressure, and with the stock fueling it tends to run rich, thus the popping happens because of the extra fuel being burned off. When you remap the bike you essentially fix the fueling ratio, and naturally less fuel will be burned off, therefore way less popping. So yes, remapping your bike took the "backfire" away, but you bumped up the efficiency, you're not burning off extra fuel in the exhaust anymore haha. The only way to get it back is by making the bike run rich again, so get a different map for it, or get the stock map back on. This is long, I'm rambling, but I hope that helps :D

    • @zseries751
      @zseries751  Před rokem +3

      Decat. Remove any catalytic converter. Basically straight pipe it. Second, you'll see that this muffler is very very short. Almost no sound dampening. These mufflers were designed to be loud. The gp m2 will probably improve it, but your best bet is to get a pipe thats alot shorter.
