there's a guitarist who mastered every aspect of guitar playing till absolute perfection!! I don't like anyone better. I saw this live twice and I'm still astonished!!

That first song, ' I wish, ' I grew up to, it being not only one of my favorite songs, but also one song that described me perfectly, especially aout the part about Sunday School. I also loved the second song, ' Contusion, ' a delightful and ripping romp. Greg is a mightily awesome player whose musical influences are as versatile and deep as his muiscal talents.

I couldn't agree with you more. Every time I hear this guy he's getting better, and coming up with new ideas. The well seems almost bottomless. And that tone... that tone! I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but to those who appreciate what he's trying to emulate, it's as good as anything I have heard. His signature axe and that Cornford sure seem to get along well together.

@jardous Actually it's "Contusion" .. from Stevie's Wonder's classic album Songs in the Key Of Life...And yes also covered by Greg on his Tilt album as well. Great album too..

@@StaySharpFacas who? Which blues player said that? I wonder because this is sounds very bluesy. I can understand if they say about some 80's rock/metal shredding though (Paul Gilbert, Randy Rhoads, etc), that's for me is not very soulfull.

Big Howe fan... he sounded so much better with an ESP, and his Strat... that guitar he's playin with in that clip, is robbing him of his tone.

You've been playing Laguna Guitars for so long, how have you come by creating a Carvin Guitar and have you made the change permanently ?
I went to see him at a clinic a couple of years ago and asked him this question. How does an endorsement deal come about? I don't remember the details but I was surprised to hear it had little to do with preference for the brand or money, but rather a lot with management within the guitar companies, personal relationships and the attention spent on the artist. Laguna just let it run dry and people at Carvin (now Kiesel) picked it up. Greg said he was never interested in free gear, he has a house full of gear already. He wanted to work with craftsmen to create something he likes. The brand does not matter, if you work with capable people who put some TLC in it you will get something decent.
haha actually he suggested to other viewers of this youtubepage to listen to Greg Howe with Victor Wooten. His comment received negative feedback because he was talking about downloading it, this is killing the music industry and it should be stopped :)
