The glorious moments of the Turbonet no longer exists because MTN has managed to successfully mess it up. Unfortunately the turbonet experience is no longer what it used to. It appears MTN regrets ever introducing the turbonet, although they've made a ton of money off it.
In terms of the bundle why doesn't mtn just make a simplified way of bundling like vodafone where you can use that same sim in the wifi to bundle and use. The bundling process looks a bit unnecessary as it means if i bought the device for the first time and i am not using mtn, i have to buy an additional mtn sim and probably open a mtn mobile money account. That is too much and very unnecessary
True. Not sure why they haven't done that. Maybe it's because they want us to treat the Turbonet as "Wireless Fibre" so just as we top up fibre account with another phone number, same with the Turbonet. Just a guess though
You can, but I doubt you would be taking full advantage of what the TurboNet offers. Plus, I don't know if it'll actually work as expected. The SIM seems tailored to the TurboNet. But you'll have to try. I haven't tried myself.

I never bothered resetting, because that's obviously not the solution. The device came reset on day one and the issue has been there since day one. Resetting won't do anything. Plus that extra 1 minute to reconfigure the router after reset, I don't have. Even if I have, I don't want to, because both MTN and I know that's not the solution. Thanks for watching my videos. I was asked to reset it which I did, I was able to log in the WiFi on my phone with the password written at the back of the router WiFi.. now I have to change the name and password.. I used the IP address but all the password is saying incorrect including admin.. admin is what is written at the back of my wifi but it’s still says incorrect.. Please how do I get the password to login to be able to change my password?
Reset the device well. There are 2 different passwords. One is for login as a WiFi user and one is for login as admin It's there at the back of your router. They are there at the back.
I recently moved to new location and My MTN usb modem doesn't connect in that location. When my phone is tethered it does a good job and can play online games with it. Should I get this turbonet even though the usb modem doesn't work (but my phone tethers) in my new location?
The turbonet has an antenna, which means you can get way better reception than the usb modem does. Where's your new location? On your phone, are you able to get 3 or 4G?
Go into the settings. There's an UPnP option there under security. I've never setup for multiple player before on the TurboNet, so you will have to let Google help you more on the actual configuration. But the TurboNet supports that
I haven't tried that before. But I see no reason why that wouldn't be possible. However, why the need for midnight bundles on the TurboNet? Your can try and see though
Hard reset. There's a button at the back of the router, a small hole. Use a broomstick or small needle to press on that button for about 10 seconds. Then use admin admin to login when it turns on

Make sure you lock your preferred network to 4G only. Go to this page: 192.168.8.1/html/mobilenetworksettings.html And change to 4G only, the "preferred network"

You need to change your settings to external antenna from auto. 1.Access 192.168.8.1 2. enter your login details,default is usually "admin" 3.select settings 4.Select system 5. Choose Antenna settings 6. You'd see Antenna.Itd be on auto.select external and save. 7.Connect your antenna and place it beside a window. Youd see a ridiculous amount of speed.

Just a point of correction... The turbonet is used for phone calls as well and you can use and works with in other MTN Sim as well..
The router works with other MTN SIMs, but only the turbonet SIMs is programmed for the Turbonet Bundles

Not that I know of. For very refined user data management, you'll need a dedicated device like the unifi security gateway

yes. it'll support other MTN 4G SIM cards. However, I don't think you can have the TurboNet bundles on that 4G SIM which is non-turbonet enabled.

On good MTN days, you'll be able to use it alright. Can't say so for recent weeks how MTN has gone terrible with the network speed.

There's a cover at the back. Open it, you'll see two connectors. Screw the antenna endings onto both of them. Restart the router afterwards.
