The way she gets emotional when talking about some of the records. That makes me fall in love with her music even more. It's like even if you haven't been through what she's talking about , she makes you feel like that's exactly the way it feels or is going to feel. I wonder how many other artist can articulate the creative process of each track on their album like this. Gotta respect a true song writer.

This was the best album of 2017 ...I loved the album upon first listen but to hear her speak so passionately about every track makes me appreciate it even more as well as her entire aura as an artist.... TALENT ALWAYS WINS!!!!!

I love how much she’s into Janet. I also got major Aaliyah vibes on some of the tracks. There were some moments on Take Me Apart where I felt like “Man, this sounds like something Aaliyah would have made if she were with us here today.”
Dustin James Truth or Dare sounds like something Aaliyah would make.
I'm sorry but SHE NEEDS TO GET US A LONGER VERSION OF BLUFF. This can not be only an interlude. She played us. I was expecting this song to be longer from the moment she released it in the Dazed docu'.

I've been bitter ever since I found out every song on there was literally an interlude.
But then again, she titled it the interlude but I didn't think she literally meant it 😭😭😭

EXACTLY I thought we were getting full versions of S.O.S and Bluff because she basically released them last year with the Cieron Maget film
Bluff is like a stripped down version of the remix Jam City did for Robyn of "Who Do You Love" , so that's the closest thing :)
I love an artist who's not afraid to be honest, vulnerable and emotional.
I'm so into her hand gestures haha. She's so expressive with them.
She is such a smart writer. The emotions in the lyrics and vocal performance feel so mature.

I love how she articulates on every single piece of her album. Being very open with how hard the transition from the relationship was and I just love it, you don't always find artists who would take every song from their album and go as far as explaining the musicality and lyrical experience behind it.
when i saw her live in december she teared up before singing "bluff" as well, i remember her telling the crowd how much this song makes her emotional and seeing her acting the same in this video makes me wanna cry so much i'm-
When I first heard Altadena I literally was at work and almost broke down. The song kinda just shook me from all the work I was doing, all the long hours, and I was like yeah... she captured this extremely well.

I know I am late but seeing this interview and seeing the emotions means a lot. I was living in Seattle when I found that record. I immediately fell in love with the song Frontline.
i love this album so much because of the way the tracks are suited to be bounced between. the whole point is all these stages, the order is personal though. we all find ourselves returning to some feeling in one way or another at some point, feeling like we’re back where we started or where we didn’t want to end up. every step of the journey is different, but there’s similarities that can feel like setbacks and opportunities at the same time. i think that’s beautiful.
