- A fun little archery trick shot challenge put out to the Dude Perfect boys.
I just noticed I have bunch of dislikes for the video. Probably the same people who think Katniss is real.. Nobody in the world has yet to makes these shots.
If I am not mistaken "Dude Perfect" shoots compounds for the most part.Jeff shoots Trad recurve and we all know that takes a much higher skill set.Jeff is an outstanding archer and I think the boys over at DP have their work cut out for them .Great Video Jeff!
Blown away...again. Jeff, you give me inspiration even on my worst days.
Such a cool guy and a lovely family. Thanks for the inspiration Jeff!
I love the relationship you have with your children. Mine are still young. You are an inspiration to me with your parenting as well as your archery. Thank you for all the effort you put into your channel.
+Average Joe thank-you, I know I am a very lucky man that way.
For much of my life I've thought I should pick up archery. Could be fun.
Turns out, YES! Now I'm binge-watching these videos and can't wait for Tuesday, the next (second) session.
Amazing shots!
I have no doubt Fred Bear himself would be very impressed!
Love the competitive juices. Your shooting skills are legit. No one comes close. Hitting the wicks of two swinging candles blew me away. Don't burn the barn please!
You don't have to hit the wicks to blow out the candle. The wind of the arrow going past will do the job without touching the wick
It's Feb 2019....still enjoys your vids and banter
9/9/19
Awesome shot, congratulations Jeff to you and your family.
Gosh, that Girl's smile could end wars. So beautiful :)
AFCA - World Bodybuilding Archive shes kinda cute😍😁
When I clicked on view replies I was hoping it was her father threatening to bury you lol.
Hi, Jeff, I just saw this video with you and your kids... wow, what amazing archery skills all of you have! Keep up the great work and have fun making your videos.
AWESOME SHOT JEFF! Incredible! Keep up the GREAT videos! Love'em! Your son and daughter's shots are impressive too!
I hope all is well ! Miss getting new videos but these still inspire me !
awesome family guys...and dad you don't talk to much keep being a good dad.
When the info in the "too much" talking is just right... I don't fast forward... I never do that with your dads videos... But maybe I like "too much" talking... You guys are awesome. I hope my 5 year old will stay hooked on archery so I can have as much fun with him as you guys seem to have. 😄
jeff, my man, great video and also awesome shots
you are an exemple of what i've been telling people asking archery questions, that practice makes better; always, period!
I think you guys have dude perfect in the bag. Love the family banter, keep up the good work and thanks for putting out quality content.
the way you drew your bow and then shot... beautiful. that first shot. omg i can only hope to have that kind of discipline. how fast you drew the bow after aiming, drawing then re-aiming. friggen amazing.
Holy Smokes. Amazing. You Gotta Love It. Thanks Guys and Gal. Sunday morning joy. All the best to you . Tom
I watch all your video's. Ive learned a bunch for improving my form and release. Thanks so much Kavanagh family for always keeping traditional archery fun, and effective , the way its supposed to be! I cant wait to get my Toelke Whip in a couple weeks! waaaa hooo!
Jeff,
This Dude Perfect is simply a figment of his own imagination.
I genuinely enjoy your videos and tutorials.
Jeff, I think you might be over estimating the DP guy's skill level. You should probably be calling out Byron Ferguson if you're looking for someone at your level. I've watched every video you've put out and can't over estimate how much you've helped my shooting. Thanks for the awesome lessons and reviews. You should think about writing a book, I'd buy it.
+icentropy Spot on. Just beautiful shooting out of Jeff!
icentropy
Bryron ferguson might be a tough opponent to call out, but the point you made is solid. Jeff is a great archer and also very humble and likeable.
No need to try to stand toe to toe with SUPERMAN to prove that you have the right stuff.
...love the relationship with your kids....very cool, and the shots were great!!!
This was brilliant! I only found your channel recently but it's perfect for me 👍
Looks like a good time. Always funner when the family enjoys it too.
What a lovely family and so skilled, wow.
Great shot! Love your videos. Please keep them coming!
Videos like these make me feel like picking up my bow again. I haven't touched my Bear Grizzly in about a year, it just sits on my wall. Need to conquer the target panic I was suffering from last time I shot.
Not to change the subject that's a pretty impressive wood pile. :)
Only someone with wood heating in their home would notice that....I'm guessing.
That's a winters worth
Michael Supple lol I noticed that as well I also shoot in my hanger in France 🏹
Awesome video love archery I'm in the market of getting a new tradition bow right now I grew out of my custom recurve I bought it when I was a lot younger and overtime outgrew the draw length.
you guys are pretty neat. love that the whole family is involved .
oh and you archery skills are pretty neat too :)
amazing shooting l love all your videos keep them coming.
omg your dynamic is perfect. love your personalities and friendship. i am new to the channel. love it.
That's the prettiest wood burning stove I've ever seen
I really love watching your videos. Thanks, dc
This is awesome! I saw the dude perfect video and thought of you guys. So cool to see a reply like this
+Hannah Brower Thanks but the guys at Dude Perfect won't acknowledge the challenge. lol
Love that you shoot with your children .. wonderful quality time..
Hi Jeff, great shot..Ive just started off on archery few weeks ago.Making good progress ,thankstoyour videos.Love you ,Jeff. From India.
Thanks for the reply Jeff, btw I'm a Fred Bear fan as well .I am currently shooting a 1964 Bear Kodiak Magnum recurve and I'm in love with that bow .Its 51 years old and wicked fast and silent .
Yes - now ya gotta do the same trick, but LIGHT the candle. I'll be back for that one without a doubt!!
Hi Jeff, thanks for the video. I'm glad I found your show, my family enjoy shooting archery also.
Jeff an awesome dude.Njoyed a lot with your family skill.Keep it up.
Great shooting. Cheers from Canada👍😎🇨🇦🏹
Thanks for sharing the video. You guys...and gal are amazing! !
I wish I had this setup lol. new york life is hard for archery :P
everytime I see you make this shot I can't believe it lol. I found this channel when I bought my first bow last year. finally, at 28 yrs old (almost 30 now) I bought a bow haha
had shot at the place near me a few times prior. I still suck at it tho I can hit bottles from like 7 yards lol. my form is all off tho.
Lets see Larz Anderson try that, the low poundage SOB. Great archery, great shots and I can't wait to see the response.
+TherealTenmanI Lars is very, very talented with what he does and great to watch. Mine is just a different way. Dude Perfect is the same.
I know there is a massive difference of style. His is barely aimed snap shots at close range. Yours are carefully aimed snap shots that are actually useful. :P Dude perfect also do things that are useful in the real world. Very skilled, just like you and your family. Much respect to all parties but one is a so-and-so. :P
Dude Perfect does not have what it takes, nor the time in a day to 1 up you Jeff.
Awesome...always enjoy your videos. Keep them coming.
Seems to me its DNA Jeff. Outstanding.
wow, you're the best archer I've seen, and lucy is the most beautiful and sympathetic bowler, greetings and super shots you already have a new subscriber
The three of you are WICKED~!
Awesome family you've got there Jeff. New subscriber here and really enjoying your stuff! Thanks for the great videos!
Hi Jeff. I absolutely loved the video but I was hoping to see your daughter doing some trick shots as I wanted to show my wife a motivational video as we are going from compound to traditional.
Tyler in dude perfect was using a compound bow which have sights which make it easier to aim at a target
That is some awesome shooting. Great to watch.
Hi Jeff Kavanagh
Liked your video. Nice shots and cute family too.
Can you pls tell us little on how to aim in bare bow.
Also would be nice to see video demonstrating it.
thanks
Shreyas
Very positive family:), greetings from Poland
:0 well then, this has become my favorite archery channel
Great shots guys!
I still can't get anywhere close to doing that !
Great video, great shooting!
My name jeff
Hii
Yeah dad...Less talk and more flame shooting lol...Oh and leave her bow alone, you have Your own. Lol some more☺..Nice video but the oil can swaying back and forth made me dizzy lol..I have vertigo..Nice family..Nice shooting...Nice video.
It. Is. Awesome!
Check out this mad lad. Amazing shots !
Awesome! From Down under.
that was fun. you are stars!
Dude I wish I had a nice space like that at home to practice trick shots. :( Nice video.
Really enjoyed this
Watching these videos make olympic 'champions' not look like champions so much anymore...
I shoot a longbow cuz I don't believe an archer is an archer if he/she has to rely on sights, stabilizers and other sorcery.. I thought I wanted to become as good as Howard Hill, but now I think I have some new archers in mind. XD
Between this video, Lars Andersen shooting 11 arrows before the first hits the ground and Byron Ferguson destroying aspirins in mid air.. I'm VERY impressed.
(Especially the double candle trick.. that's got to be one of the best archery tricks I ever saw.)
Can I ask you what method you use for aiming? Plain instinctive shot or some other one?
That is about as good as instinctive shooting gets.
funny family :) I like this video :)
I'm looking forward to thier response.
Beautiful shots!
Great shooting as always Jeff.
Wow...great skills! Really impressive!
i love your stove/oven
You absolutely deserve a million views and more!!!
If i havent seen It.... Awesome!!
The closeup image of your anchor just shot down my excuse for bad shooting (approx 0:18). I have some very damaged disc/vertebrae in my neck and I have never felt that I could rotate my head far enough to face the target. It looks as if you are looking out of the extreme side of your eyes.
If I am obtaining decent groupings for a old left handed novice, can you offer some suggestions as to why my arrows seem to group 1.5" inches to the right and same amount above center? My shooting does not seem to be affected dramatically by spine or the bow used.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the great videos that you continually offer. Even though I am stuck right now, your assistance has been very useful and your skill is amazing. I hope that I am not too old to get to the point where I can shoot without feeling like a failure.
Thanks again, Ray
Oh, man. This is insanely cool!
Great shooting💪💪
Awesome shooting.
Thanks for video keep going 🤠 greeting from Morocco
I like ur shoots.
yep there are many of that type of shot and others but the most famous shot is the one Annie okely did
nice shot and dude perfect does not suck at all
Awesome shots!
Holy carp! super archers!!!
You guys are amazing !!
Great shoots! That's not one easy shoot there :)
Take care, Joachim
amazing video guys
Why are their no more recent videos? I hope this guy is ok, because he's awesome.
wow the family archery nice
AWSOME ! N a fun video ♥️👍🏼
Wow, very impressive shooting.
Problem with this shot is that the only real trick is getting the arrow within 12" of the candle and the wind shear off the vanes will blow it out. Not taking away from your shooting brother.
Actually the only way to put out a candle is by hitting the actual wick. Wind shear will do nothing. Byron Ferguson says the exact same thing. If you watch the videos and the the various candle shots you will see the wick gets hit every time.
Jeff Kavanagh well I know wind shear will
Do it because I do trick shots myself and have seen it many many times. Again not trying to take away from your shooting. Well done! But it can be an illusion for the Archer who isn't as great with trick shots to make the same shot Look the same. I use I high speed camera to show my arrows actually hit the wick.
Well if you watch any of my videos you will never see it happen because of wind shear. In many you can see the flame dance when I miss but it never goes out. Only if I hit it. I know your not trying to take anything away as well.
nice shooting nice family
Jeff, out of curiosity, can you talk a little about the following?
-Bows in the video and draw weights
-Arrow configs for these shots
-What you "see" when you are shooting
I think the shot clips interspliced with "what I see" and "how I do it" combination could be interesting to the CZcams archery community, and potentially very marketable. Food for thought. Do you teach? Have you thought about running camps?
I've learned a tremendous amount from your videos -- thank you!
+Isaac Petruccelli There isn't enough interest in archery in the area I live to teach or hold any shooting clinics.
+Jeff Kavanagh I think you have a very marketable presentation you could deliver and run camps for CZcamsrs interested in attending. At the very least, I'd buy a DVD or digital download from you based on your instruction to date and clear results. How many days a week do you shoot and how many arrows per session?
+Isaac Petruccelli Thanks Isaac. Lately I have only shot a few times since the beginning of October. I hurt my shoulder working out and I have an MRI on the 15th to find out what's going on with it. Even the half a dozen shots I took when I shot this video hurt like heck. Normally when I am shooting I will shoot maybe 3 to 4 times a week. I'd say maybe 50 to a hundred arrows a session. A few years ago I use to shoot a lot more.
I shoot a recurve. I have to relax and hold the target aim point and keep it there while relaxing and the arrow leaves my hand as a surprise. So, my question is: if I shoot that way (i.e. have to hold the bow still for several seconds waiting for the arrow to release), then there is no way I can shoot a moving target right? It will move before I can release the arrow. If I try to shoot fast, I pluck the string and the arrow shoots bad.
greetings Jeff beautiful family., and fluffy on the bow. I made the shot in the candle but without movement on the rope., and not so far kkkk !! Greetings from Brazil mikitiv
+SuperIliete Great stuff!
:>)
+Jeff Kavanagh do u guy go to ETAR in pa?
That is too far away from me. I don't get to travel. Maybe someday I guess.
Brazil? The murder capital of the world. You won't live long enough to perfect this shot. I would probably instead invest in a plane ticket to somewhere safe.
