    Another big problem with the Monarch release was that serveral big websites were only listing a couple boxes a day and asking for an absurd amount per box thus giving the impression there was limited supply and artificially inflating the price. While other stores that had sold pre-orders at 100 per box then began canceling orders when prices spiked to 600+ per box so that they could then relist those very same boxes at a much higher price.

      @fabulous5714  Před rokem +2

      Yep, that happened too ! Didn't mention it, as I was concentrating on actual print run numbers, but yes, that was a pretty important factor in "artificially" inflating prices. :)

    • @bwuceli3801
      @bwuceli3801 Před rokem +2

      That was the main problem imho. They were also limiting orders and actual distributors started speculating with the intention of only distributing part of their stock. When the actual print run was larger they were forced to release everything which cratered the price.

    Interesting. Next time you should wear a pink visor and have a whiteboard behind you :) lol. Fun fact, WTR was also the first set that was printed in Japan, it even had a farewell event. ARC was not, only printed in Belgium and had no goodbye event.

    If MON First Edtion and Unlimited is OOP...where will they get the boxes to organized the sealed play in War of the Monarch Events? It is all in hands of distributors and stores by now. and not all stores have MON in stock. Strange...

    • @fabulous5714
      @fabulous5714  Před rokem +1

      Although OOP, there must be some unlimited MON still available, because that will be the product being used for draft over a 3-4 month period, from summer til fall. :)

  • @chestercheetah3475
    @chestercheetah3475 Před rokem +5

    So WTR was the far superior draft set and easiest set to learn to play with…I am sure this played into their print decisions.

      Agreed! The draft experience of WtR is a much easier way to introduce new players. I started during monarch and farewell to Rathe was such a great experience

    Maybe they want to release PVE before releasing Everfest UNL...
    In Everfest, the Merchant and cards like Silver Palm will be really usefull in PVE.

    • @fabulous5714
      @fabulous5714  Před rokem +2

      I don't know how exactly PVE would work but it certainly does attract my curiosity... to be followed I guess 😀😀

    About 80-100 of each Italian fable.
    And about 75-90 of each marvel hero.
    And then twice the number in the other languages.
    Ive recently made a video on this. These are quite the rarity

    Well with everfest, i strongly believe that there is a main set on the way for the supplemental we got a year ago. Its will be like monarch and dtd, but the other way round.

    • @fabulous5714
      @fabulous5714  Před rokem +1

    • @fabulous5714
      @fabulous5714  Před rokem +1

      Well... perhaps, and if so, I don't understand the timing they chose for the release of Everfest. Nevertheless, if that is the case, then maybe that is when we will see the release of its unlimited version.

  • @urbano999

    I love that they only have one box. Simple. Every card, every retail variant will be available in one type of product: tha FAB 2.0 simple booster box. However, they shouls refrain from making the same card in like 3 or 4 versions and raritites. Most cards should only have the normal and the rainbow foil versions. And a handful of cards should have perhaps a third variant (cold foil or marvel). But I do not like when they have 1. norma 2. rainbow 3. cold foil 4. extended art 5. marvel... Just make normal, rainbow and either CF, extended or marvel. Those middle stpe sons are not cool. It gives you a feel bad moment when you crack them. And normal players will use normal or rainbow versions. And collectors will chase the highest rarity (cf, or marvel or extended art).

    • @fabulous5714
      @fabulous5714  Před rokem +1

      Yep, my thoughts exactly. They have definitely reached the limit of versions they can produce, and as you say, no card should have more than 3 versions TOTAL. Let's just hope they keep only ONE type of booster box ! :)

    Bro monarch first edition was way over printed. It almost killed the game. Unlimited was for the players first edition was supposed to be collectible with cold foils. I think the main factor that has fab living thriving and taking over the world. Is that wizards decided to burn their game to the ground with reprints and greed. I honestly don’t believe fab would be were it is without wizards short sightedness and greed. I sure am glad though fab was able to weather their own storm and fill the market gap.

    • @fabulous5714
      @fabulous5714  Před rokem +1

      I don't agree that Monarch was overprinted, because Tales of Aria First Edition, which was the following set, was printed at 208 000 boxes, and then Everfest at 229 000. This is way more than the 125 000 for Monarch, and yet, this all happened way before the Magic the Gathering debacle. LSS really knows what they are doing...

    • @bwuceli3801
      @bwuceli3801 Před rokem +1

      No, Monarch 1st was not overprinted. If they printed less the game would not have grown as much as it did. There is still a healthy amount sealed but you'll see this disappear in 2023.
