Really? The Russian Army arguably has one of the largest and most well trained armies in the world because of the Ukraine War. NATO tech, NATO intel and NATO Advisers have made Russia much more confident in its abilities and have turned Russia onto a war footing. Their economy has shifted away from the West, which is now crippled due to energy being 4-5 times more costly. Russia has weathered the sanctions, and so there is not much NATO can do anymore unless they wish to risk nuclear conflict.
Considering Russia has expanded its army almost 8 fold, has refined its strategies and tactics to fight this new type of warfare, has negated much of the sanctions effects, has opened up new trade with the rest of the world and has crippled Europe economically, and continues to expand it territory further into a collapsing Ukraine, I dont think Russia needs to be the ones fretting right now. We shouldnt forget, it isnt just Russia that hates us, it is the entire world and for good reason.

The Russian Baltic Fleet has been a dud (as a bluewater force) for decades already since they would have to navigate Skagerak (separating Norway and Denmark) into the North Sea where Norway, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and the UK hang out and play together both with their navies and airforces. Russia might as well have built a 1500 km channel to the Black Sea before remembering that Turkey is policing the Bosporus and Spain is happily caring for Gibraltar.
They have one way into the Atlantic, and that is from Kola, and that is not changing anytime soon.
Can we foresee Russia getting a good enough friend in Africa to set up a naval base in, say, Angola? Maybe (though I think Belgium would enter the chat pretty quickly). It is however a pretty risky investment, as long-term political stability is not defined as "long" on the West African coast.
Nothing really changes. Norway, the UK, Canada, the US and (partly) Denmark do the primary work of caring for the G(reenland)-I(celand)-UK gaps since the entire 2nd wave Russian strategic nuke arsenal and basically the entire Atlantic fleet is located on Kola.
Yet it is funny: Russians have some big ships stuck in "lake NATO" at the moment. It must be interesting to be a sailor knowing that if you break as much as a fart on a Russian naval ship, listening buoys from Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and the entire Joint Expeditionary Force (a UK led regional expeditionary naval force consisting of the UK, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Norway) hanging out in the lake, reporting said fart supported by UK, German and Norwegian P8 surveillance aircraft in addition to NATO designated American and British electronic sniffers plus the substantial Swedish and Finnish SigInt prowess from centuries of relying on own data on top of the entire Baltic being sensational on HumInt.
I do not know if Russian warships are equipped with microwave ovens, but If they are, NATO knows when they are used while being stuck in Kaliningrad.
I can only join in and nominate Putin as the NATO Friend of the Year (again). It is a weird thing, as we remember Putin wishing to join NATO less than 3 decades ago. Now he is in a situation where everyone will blow his Baltic Fleet out of the water before they even can reach Gotland.

Europe, however, is in big trouble. They have outsourced their defense and defense industrial manufacturing, leaving their entire industry in peril.
With $34 trillion in US debt. Our country has a finite amount of time left before we are going to be unable to keep funding $800+ billion annual defense spending. That means priorities will shift. The US views China as its near peer adversary, not Russia. This is why Europe needs to massively scale up defense spending so it can take the lead and allow the US to fall back into a supporting role.

Make Kaliningrad part of the EU. It should never be part of Russia. Konigsberg (the original name for Kaliningrad) the capital, is historically Prussia, one of the old Baltic speaking countries/cultures. Prussian, Latvian & Lithuanian languages are the proto-european (very old europe) languages and cultures of this area, it is not a Slavic/Russia area. So Russia has only occupied the area since WW2. Prussia (this is where Fredrick the Great and the philosopher Kant came from), it was a country which became part of Germany, but was also part of Poland and Lithuania. Russia is a newcomer and only recently occupied it. So Russia has no historic, cultural or political right to the area. It was part of the mistake after WW2 when the west sold out eastern and northern europe and gave it to Russia/USSR. The solution would be to drop the Russian name, call it Konigsberg, create an area which is managed by Lithuania, Germany and Poland. It could be the first part of the EU which is run ultimately from the EU/Brussels. Russia is afraid that the Baltic states will attack Russia, this is ridiculous. And it would be like Luxembourg needs to be destroyed before it attacks France or Denmark attacks Germany. Russia has long term economic and political problems so it attacks neighbours to avoid the problems of solving internal Russian problems. Be careful if the west allows Russia to occupy Ukraine, the people of Ukraine will be shot like in Bucha, sent to siberia then who is left will be used by Russia to fight against Europe. Russia today, uses people from their minorities and poor areas to fight in Ukraine while Russians from St Petersburg and Moscow areas are not sent to war. Read Russian history, when Russia is in trouble is externalizes its problems and attacks outwards.

And it was never part of ether Poland or Lithuania.
Germanic prussia from where Frederik the great came is what you think off. As it was subservient to commonwealth before gaining independence.
If we gonna start splitting Europe into historic lands, a lot of borders would change.
Lithuania and Poland have no claim to these lands as they gave it up centuries ago to get help from Prussia against Swedes.
Germany gave up all the claims to any non current territories post ww2.

This sounds a lot like "Ukraine is beating Russia and will reclaim its lost territories"
First off, closing the Strat of Finland is Cassus Belli, and would likely mean nuclear war. Second, Kalingrad is an exclave of Russia, but is still Russian with Russian population. It also has a naval port and Russia will never give that up without letting loose the nukes. This entire video is NATO circle jerk and frankly, Russophobic.
NATO is the reason there is a Ukraine War at all. Also, Russia is winning and will win that war. Lastly, Ukraine going to NATO would mean Russia will not stop until Odessa is taken. They arent that far. Ukraine is collapsing and nobody is sending them the arms they need or the money they need to run their dictatorship.
The question is: Are we (NATO) the badies? Yes, yes we are.
