I am a retired nurse and I have seen hundreds of people pass away including my parents and an uncle. I have observed that the soul is the life in every cell and can leave the body very slowly even if the respirations have not stopped. I agree with what you are saying.

I come from polytheist background but at the same time I feel deeply connected to Judaism as if there are no differences today and not even in the future. Shalom

Interesting. I wasn't aware that Jewish people believe that they have two souls

What about identical or even conjoined twins? Do they have separate souls?
Soulmates? Our "other halfs"? One soul or two.
Bat Mitzvah is a recent thing. Many older or poorer women even if religious don't have this. Are they really without a full "second" soul?

If the godly soul enters at conception, in the case of a non Jew who converts does the godly soul have some catching up to do ( in terms of purpose) since it enters later in the body?

Is sin in the body and soul, or is it just in the blood?

But wouldn’t this “mission” be focused on the results, which would be the same as hedonism or a material search for meaning from the animal soul?
    I am trying to understand.
