Its like NFL to NBA. Formula E is basically a contact sport compared to any infraction is a foul in F1 and NBA lol
i mean FE cars are also tiny
@@aZebruh I think that strongly depends on the durability of the car. FE cars have basic aero compared to f1. So they are much more robust to collisions than f1. Also their wheels are covered. So yeah just like nascar they can get their elbows out without getting penalties and it doesn't ruin the other drivers races.

Hats off to Formula E - laughed at by some in the beginning but now delivering some of the best racing and action of any top series, all while pushing electric technology forward. 👏

@@FIAFormulaE Wow. I do not know how Da Costa got around on the outside but he literally dive bombed in the harbor chicane, locked the brakes and held on to it for the win. What a remarkable finish. One of the best overtakes I've ever seen in motorsport racing. I've watched motorsport racing for 20 years and I don't think I'll ever see that again. Because that was a one in a million.

The cars fit very well on this track, you can actually race here with these cars
Thst was a race I never want to see them run out of power again . Watching that felt like I wasted my time watching it .

What a race at Monaco of all places
This is a track that if if famed for being notoriously difficult to overtake on and yet there was more overtakes in this race than what there has been in f1 over the last 7 years
gotta remember that the track was designed for smaller, thinner, shorter, slower f1 cars with less dirty air. the cars today are just too big and dirty for it to work. The new regs will help but long term the cars have to begin to decrease in size to bring this kind of racing back. Not nessercarially slower, just smaller
I watch Formula e since 3 Weeks. And iam a total fan of it now. Its a amazing series. Close racing, much Action and so unpredictable. Love it.

Since I started playing Real Racing 3, I get interested in Formula E
After watching this (and my first) race, the only thing I can say is:

But, I liked the Monaco E-Prix more. And I think that the Monaco E-Prix (FE), it will end being more entertaining than the Monaco GP (F1)

i have never heard "wheel to wheel racing" and "in monaco" in a sentence until now. heck of a race. seems like monaco and FE were made for each other. glad they dont use the chopped at nouvelle version.
I remember when you guys were uploading onboard videos of practice and qualifying people were hating it for being to slow or boring. I guess Formula E produces better races at Monaco compared to F1. F1 cars are too fast for Monaco now, this race had so much overtaking. Loved it❤
People were just being plain IGNORANT during the practice sessions complaining about speed....they weren't even running full power.
Formula E is the future whether they like it or not.

@Wind Rose that's what they claimed 50 years ago. Given that petrol can by produced synthetically, it will be available to any one who is willing to pay for it.
Amazing race. Formula E fits Monaco GP full layout so great - it felt like home - barriers around but in places they have to be. Gave that late 80's/early 90's F1 feeling of this track.
The proof that, if there isn't much action in F1 at Monaco, it is the cars, not the track.

@@aloter1680 yeah I still dont understand how he didn t get a penalty for overtaking Vergne .... he should have given back the position at least. It's an obvious overtaking outside track limits when Vergne had the job done and made the effort not to cut!

To be honest, fans did ask them to race in a traditional circuit, while the management is already aware they're not into that level yet. So the half of the fault should be on to the fans' wish to race in a traditional circuit.
At least ABB Formula E is proven ready for full monaco.

Please Formula E, upload the full race on your CZcams channel, I adored it when you did it when I was waiting for the F1 2020 season to start and, by looking at the amount of action in this race, I think everyone would like that !
They still do - it's just that they wait a few weeks (maybe a month?) before uploading, probably something with the TV rights. But it's cool that they do still upload the full races, totally agree on that!
Put the video on the Monday after the inevitable dull processional F1 race just to show them up.

Now that’s a Monaco Grand Prix. So much drama and action and fantastic overtaking. F1 could take some notes from this series especially in terms of wheel to wheel racing

Been watching Formula E since season 5 and had caught up on my history of the races before. Honestly best race I have ever seen, absolutely speechless. Up there as one of the greatest races I have seen from any racing series ever.

Cracking race, some great moves and close action. Nice work Formula E, this is the perfect response to Valencia and showcases electric motorsport at its best.

Amazing race! I think we really got to see the cars finally being pushed to the limit. Some "traditional" street circuits are probably the way to go once Gen 3 kicks in with more range and recharge pitstop. Would be interesting to see this in Baku or Singapore.
Would Baku be possible even when the Gen 3 cars come around? Surely the straights are way too long and I don't think the track is wide enough to put temporary chicanes in place. A shortened version of Singapore would be great, though.
I must be the only person who liked valencia. I am a bit tired of many of these street circuit, while this monaco one was just superb. But lots of these street circuit or even the german one on a tarmac is not that great.
Baku is an absolute nono, maybe a shorter version that sticks around the castle section, but not a shot for the long straight, if not for the battery, for the top speed. Singapore is probably a good bet. I'd still love to see a race in Sydney, because they didn't flatten Sydney before building it. It has immense San Fran style elevation changes and it's bumpy enough to cause some brilliant racing
One of the most exciting race that i have had the fortune to see Live, Da Costa is the MVP of this sport.

@ABB Formula E I'll admit I was a doubter at the beginning, but I'll eat my words now. Your series is producing some of the most exciting racing in any series anywhere. Barring some kind of miracle, this E-Prix will s**t all over this year's F1 Grand Prix. Hats off.

Now this: is what you call racing. Amazing job how this race made up after that controversial Valencia race, kinda surprised how everyone is so positive about the track and the cars. Hopefully with Gen 3 coming soon, it can be like an electrifying (and entertaining) Formula 1.

From the states and just got into F1 at 60 via stadia, any hoot love electric tech especially cars, the sound of those cars are sweet music to my ears.
Perfect use of Monaco. Flow of corners, elevation and scenery are there. Just needed the cars of the right size and speed.
This is one for the ages. If you want to promote formula e, share the full race. Let everyone one see how mad and exciting racing at monaco should be.

I only recently got into FE, at the beginning I laughed, but now I love it. You guys produce a very good sport, in fact FE is very underrated
A pleasant reminder that what makes FE such a great series isn't the cars or the circuits, but the fierceness and guts of the drivers.

Literally the only FE race I've ever enjoyed. Amazing what racing on a proper circuit will do rather than a parking lot full of 90 degree corners.

Formula E need to up their marketing department, like I completely forget it exits, I didn't even know there was a Monaco E-prix till I saw it in a video about F1 and this looks so amazing, even the highlights are intense! Also get a dedicated sky sports channel or something cause I have no idea how to watch it and their website legit says nothing. Damn I'm disappointed having missed this but sadly I'm probably gonna forget it exits by the next race too.
From watching the race yesterday I would have never guessed that the top 6 finished exactly in the same order in which they started. Also, great race from Sam Bird: P16 to P7.

This was an amazing race. I still don’t love fan boost just as a concept but the racing is absolutely phenomenal.
Formula E cars are 1.77m wide, and they allow for overtaking and good racing at Monaco. This would be my ideal width of an F1 car.
I mean i never actualy wanted to watch Fe but after this i saw that sometimes its not about speed and sound, but simply pure joy of not knowing who is gona win till literarly last streight. Defenetly watching Fe from now on
