you have to admit that trill you did for the flight sounds beautiful
It’s not a trill. It’s actually flutter tonging which is a different technique. A trill is when you switch between two notes at high speed. They sound fairly similar though so it is understandable that you got confused.
Im always asked if i can play jethro tull or bumblebee tbh. And we all know i cant 😂

Try the oboe. Growing up I was yelled at and screamed at to be silent by my older sister who played the flute. You can't learn that way. Till this day, I still automatically dislike anybody who says they play the flute, until they say they play a second instrument. Flute players are rude dumb haughty b#tches.

The music teacher one is so accurate! Everytime I have my lesson my teacher wants me to play a g magor scale and an f magor scale and I've just recently learnt a d scale (can't remember what key it's in) but that one's really hard to play because it's three (what I mean by that is that it goes up three times. First time: low d, second time: medium d and third time: high d) instead of the usual 2 times

That first one had to be hard I'm a trumpet but I do know that flutes take a lot of air I think more than. Tuba and playing slow pieces are harder because they are long and connected most the time

I WISH people would ask for Schubert! As a club date musician, I have hours of this sort of repertoire memorized from my early days in the business, and no one cares, now. 😂 Even the AmericanSongbook is of little interest to clients.
Nothing wrong with the music people want now, but there isn't much there of interest to an instrumentalist (with some terrific exceptions.)
P S. You sound BEAUTIFUL , even on the pink flute.
Also, if I were your teacher, I'd be so proud of you for playing scales up to high D and down low B (where applicable🤭.)
My teacher had me do the same, but based on comments in various forums, it doesn't seem too common.
