When I started putting time in playing guitar (in January) I was only dreaming of playing this song. All I could do was a scuffed version of the beggining on my old classical. It has been a dream of mine to play this, and today, I finally managed to learn this, with the solo!

Took me over a year to just get the song good, and probably closer to 2 years to get it really tight and tone accurate. Nowadays i just play it for fun once in a while, but this song was my dream to achive, and the real starting point for my guitar playing.
So I shouldn’t be mad at myself I started playing electric 20 days ago and can rip through intro but second riff with pattern is hit and miss , sometimes it’s ok other times it’s not and I’m getting pissed at myself lol
I had a performance at school playing master of puppets in front of a lot of people without this backing track i wouldn't have went on my knees while playing kirks solo
I practice the main riff of the song for months with a metronome. I can play it faster than the song, and now I'm having a hard time to play it slower :(

Good track but I hate that second double-time hi-hat intro in the melodic part (3:43). The regular hats are enough, that second double-time count-in is totally unnecessary and really annoying.

I have a baritone with 11-70 tuned to B standard. I practice with that then I go to my regular “e” guitar and it’s like magic.
