The fun thing about filming all day is not knowing how the day will end . Its part of the excitement of waking up and having an idea then completely throwing it off the rails by day end . Hope you enjoyed

When I was growing up my family would go to Gatlinburg about once a month, either for day trips or weekenders. I remember when the Mountain Mall was built. We were there so often that we had a regular waitress at the Pancake Pantry. My brother died when he was 19, but even now when I go to Gatlinburg in my mind's eye I still can see he and I swimmimg and playing in the pools of the various older hotels there, and also running in and out of the candy shops, grabbing candy samples. It's a very special place to me.
Memories will last a lifetime. So sorry for your loss. May your brother rest in peace.

Correction on the fire date. Nov 28 the fires came down from the Chimney Tops. It burned for a week before the 80mph winds spread it.
Any word on the SECRECY about who set them?

LOL! Too true! Though the fudge recipe I made on Firestone Farm when I worked at Greenfield Village was pretty awesome too. Sadly, it was not a for sale to visitors item...purely a demonstration of 1880's coal stove cooking.

I loved my trip to Gatlinburg! I loved the small charm and the cool shops they had. The chair lift was great and my family had a lot of fun there and also at Dollywood! Great spring break from a few years back
How far some of the construction has come since I was there last is amazing. Almost nothing was touched on the Skyride then and boom the whole thing is almost ready to open. I can't wait to go back to see how many of these things look like completed. Also going a little later in the year as Dollywood was just about to start their season when I left. I love that whole area.
I could watch you and Jacob literally for hours. (Especially in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge!) You guys are hilarious together!!

I really enjoyed this vlog! My husband and I were in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg last month! The people there asked us to spread the news that eveything is up and running and they want people to visit! Your vlog shows this very well! If you are looking for something fun and different to try may I recommend going to Forbidden Caverns. There is a lot of interesting history there! Also, the museum at the Bush's Baked Beans factory is really a lot of fun as well!

Thanks for going to Gatlinburg Adam. Many of us have been concerned after the fires. Do you know the survival story of Charles the Pig? His owner, Rob Holmes found him in the ashes of their home, still alive. He was treated at UT, and made a miraculous recovery. The Holmes own Shakes and Dawgs in Gatlinburg. They are trying to rebuild their home. There is a new children's book about Charles, written and illustrated by the Holmes. Charles even had his own FB page...Charles the Pig.

this was great seeing you both together again. I laughed at every turn u took. the headshots in cutout characters perfectly fitted each of your faces. Gatlinburg is one of my favorite places and the fire did destroy several sites that I had previously dealt with and that hit close to home. nice to see pedestrian traffic. I took a limo ride during season of lights and chatted with the foot traffic when downtown. nice place.

Tennessee has always been one of my favorite states. For beauty, it's right up there with Hawaii, California, and Alaska as the most beautiful states I have ever seen! I've never been to Gatlinburg, but it's for sure on my bucket list now. What a beautiful, charming, town!
