That's why I was always super into Ninja Turtles, with the anthropomorphic character love. Really dug the Stan Winston Realm of the Claw line. It was just unfortunate only six got made. But I think the plan was to have that as a comic.
I feel like animal figures are definitely on the rise and I'm here for it. I love what maestro union is doing, i just hope we get more figures that can be "naked" from them. And these bears are hella dope too.
I would love to see more human animal figures, I personally would love some insect type figures like a preying mantis or cicada. I would really love a good wasp though
Four Horsemen did a bunch way back before Mythic Legions. I wish they'd re-release them. McFarlane did two Poacher figures, though those are more statues. Be nice if he re-did them with modern articulation.
These are definitely cool. Another animal I'd go for in this style is a Ram. Would go with the loincloth & wrist bracers on mine though. Besides the appeal of Sword-And-Sorcery/Fantasy; the body composition highlights the missing genitals more than on standard Quadrupedal animal figures/statues/figurines.
I like how you review some wildly different releases other than the standard Marvel Legends, et al AND you can actually pose figures so we get a good idea how these other releases hold up.
I didn’t like the different colors on chest/abdomen/biceps and thighs, on the brown and black bears, so I repainted them. My black bear now has black on those parts instead of the silver. My brown bear’s parts are now a good color matched brown. I also added some red paint to the scratches on the chest after repainting them. I left the hands and feet alone. The different color on the hands and feet didn’t bother me. I’m really happy with the results.
I snagged both the black & brown bears a few months back and they ROCK! I love the options of no armor or adding what you like for multiple display choices. MORE companies need to follow this trend in IMO. The bloody paint on the black bear is a wicked added touch. Totally agree they should have just sold the Panda version outright. For other animal figures, I'm looking forward to the XESRAY Minotaurs and the Rhino exclusive too. (hope I can grab that one). Wish they would come out with a line based on the Elephantmen comic by Image. There are all kinds of cool anthropomorphic characters in this series (Mammoth, Hippos, Boars and more). Do a Google search on Elephantmen comic covers and you'll see what I mean. 💥💥PEACE 💥💥
We absolutely need more animals, if I were to pick I would either want some aquatic animals (squids, swordfish, sharks, dolphins, whales, etc) or more cat like animals (jaguars, panthers, cheetahs, lions.) Great video as always man, these figures look so good. It is kinda stupid that the panda is a chase figure though.
Great posing and photography as only you can do. Really dig the size comparison between the Bears and Zangief and Sagat. Berserker Bears belong in the Street Fighter universe.

That was one of the best intros into a video I have seen. Really showcases the the posability with these bears and how you could display. The panda and the black bear are awesome but I’m not crazy about the shaved look on the brown bear. When I saw the shaved body it looked a little Sasquatch-ish, reminded me of a Goofy Movie. It’s a little more muted on the black bear with the silver. Do I want to see more animals? Yes! I want more dogs. I find myself buying figures that just come with dogs. If the same spirit of Animal Warriors of the Kingdom, I would love to see dogs made for a fantasy theme. Specifically, I would want a Corgi action figure. There is lots of artwork of armored Corgis because they have lore and legend that when fairies went into battle, they would be riding a corgi. So yea, more animals, more dogs,….selfishly corgis because I have corgis 😂
I got a one last month, he is awesome, and I'm using him for a custom. I really want to see a company take a risk and make a mythic legions troll sized orca whale or a boa constrictor with a bendable serpent body. I agree the blind boxing of a $90 was annoying.

Yeah the mythic legions one, right? I got the first version that just came with an American flag cape. But the 2nd release had wings. Wish I knew about the 2nd release because I would have picked it up because I like the American flag wings. But I'm happy with my 1st release with the flag cape. His name was Eagalus or something.
Great video, I'd like to see a silverback Gorilla with MMA shorts and boxing gloves and alternative normal hands. Also a big gold chain around the neck wouldnt go a miss. Also a Pitbull standing up like a man dressed almost the same as the Gorilla
I really wish the paint were a little different on the black bear, that silver is off for me but I love this dude. If we can't get the panda then black is the way to go. Also feel the same about the blind boxing, I got three of those Axy Toys dinosaur men and was really hoping I could get a white one, but it was also a blind box. Now I feel that white dinoman shaped hole in my collection having one of each of them. I'm excited to see the bear sculpt used with Monster Force's bigfoot. As far as more animal guys, I'd love another crack at a sharkman-like King Shark, though the current offerings aren't my style. And lizard and fishmen, I backed Savage Crucible and still have to wait so damn long for those fish people.

Monstress by Liu & Takeda has some really brilliant anthropomorphic characters. Takeda’s illustrations are chef’s kiss best animals in comics right now. If they made figures of every anthropomorphic character in the series, I’d buy each one. There’s a really incredible book called Barsk. It’s written in a futuristic setting where all of the characters are basically talking animals. The main character Barsk is an elephant. Ever since I’ve wanted to see what his species looked like. Might be sick for figures. Tchaikovsky’s Children of Time has intelligent Spiders that take over an entire planet! Would love to see those!

I got real excited when I saw the panda, real disappointed to find out about the blind box thing. I can bear-ly afford all the other shit I wanted but I would have found the money for a panda version but this way they have ensured they aren't getting that money from me.
I would love to see more Large or small animal figures, and being a long time Sonic fan, I can think of a few animal characters I'd love a smaller company to try as Sega would never make them, including a certain Mammoth in a business suit and a Chipmunk lady
It just occurred to me you got the Panda. I am glad your friend hooked you up. I know how much that bothered you but if you remember they absolutely redesigned the bear six months before it was released. The initial offering looked like Ursa Major and when they decided to do the redesign I immediately changed to the Black Bear and reacquired my Ursa Major that I traded because unlike Wolves I didn’t think I need anymore bears. I agree with you with the blind boxes but I gues I was used to it because I have been ordering from 5KToys for a long time and they have done these blind boxes before. I realize now while looking at that Panda how much I would have liked that seperately. On another tip, I have to make a decision on wheat herb to get William or Tiger because money is a little tight. If you were me who would you choose.
I want an Elephant guy the most. Huge, powerful, giant tusks, and a fat belly but still ripped. I want a Gorilla guy. And I want some more dinosaur guys. A few more Werewolf figures would be nice too...

I like these bears, but seeing them with the mythic legions stuff or the furay toys the shiny fur makes it look more like a toy, I may have to put a matte coat on if I get them

The initial offering looked like Ursa Major and when they decided to do the redesign I immediately changed to the Black Bear and reacquired my Ursa Major that I traded because unlike Wolves I didn’t think I need anymore bears. I agree with you with the blind boxes but I gues I was used to it because I have been ordering from 5KToys for a long time and they have done these blind boxes before. I realize now while looking at that Panda how much I would have liked that seperately. On another tip, I have to make a decision on wheat herb to get William or Tiger because money is a little tight. If you were me who would you choose.

Though nowhere near as large , washed, or detailed as these - the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Lightning Collection Deluxe Mighty Minotaur figure that came out a little while ago is pretty cool. & I have no attachment to that IP. Just came across it in passing.
It would be cool if they made an even bigger one of a polar bear since they are generally quite a bit bigger than the other bears

Cool review dude, I was tring to decide if I was going to get one. I think I'm going to get the Polar bear from BBTS. I'm going to have to pay more but its a freakn polar bear. I could be wrong but I think fresh monkey fiction is using the body for there sasquatch with a mini gun figure..
Your correct about monkey fiction they are yes I'd go with the polar bear over every other one of it would of been available earlier
I like these bears, but seeing them with the mythic legions stuff or the furay toys the shiny fur makes it look more like a toy, I may have to put a matte coat on if I get them
