Finally a defender who has mastered the art of standing tackles...good with aerial duels, good recovery pace, composed on the ball, progresses the ball well, distributes well and is two-footed...may not cost half as much as Ben White but may end up being a better investment...

I'm big bologna fan. His crossing isn't terrible its just that I think we dont really score that much of crosses and he is one of our good defenders so crosses seem very rare from him. Please take care of him for me

He's hopefully going to be a handful for defenders along with Pepe on the right flank. I can see him pulling the opposing LB along with him and create some room for Pepe on the right flank or vice versa.
Doesn't matter if he can't crossing at all, not sure if Aubameyang or Lacazette can convert it. Defensive fullback is okay for me, old Italian football use this style of play with one attacking fullback and the other is defensive fullback.
They said that about Darmian when he went to United and he turned out to be useless.

I like that he actually runs with the ball forward from the CB position, that’s really good trait for a defender. Shows he’s not sideway pass merchant like a lot of frauds in the modern football these days.

So hopefully he will not be another dead RB in our squad. Judging from this, he is probably better than most of our RB, he got the speed to go upfront although as mentioned he is not the greatest in crossing, he also got the height and strength to beat wingers. He also good at both foot and can be used to fill any position in the defense which is another bonus. Hope he come bringing the Samurai fighting spirit.

@@fatfrankthepeteacher4535 Ødegaard's presence is definitely needed. On the ball is a 2 at the back, 1 sitting DM (Lokonga and Partey will alternate). When one presses forward the other sits.
I'd have Ramsdale over Leno. I feel a lot more confident building from the back with him. Leno is a good shot stopper but that's it with him.

better than just solid. actually really good. he has a slight flaw he will have to control playing with arsenal, he overchucks when dribbling (I have seen Ronaldo do it when he first played for ManU), he has better control than that so I see it as just eagerness. Good to see the potential of an overlapping back as his body control is impressive.

I feel like Ben White should play CDM with Partey, then we could have a back three of Gabriel, Saliba, and Yasu. Because tbh White is the a much better one on one defender than he is a zone defender so I feel like he will be error prone with no experienced CB next to him. While Yasu on the other hand has maturity and defensive awareness/discipline way above his years so it makes sense for him to play CB over White
