The AEB system gave generally good results in tests of its functionality at highway speeds. The car has a lane assistance system which helps prevent inadvertent drifting out of lane but can also intervene in some more critical situations. The speed control system uses digital mapping combined with a camera to identify what the local speed limit is and to inform the driver, who can then set the limiter to the appropriate speed. A seatbelt reminder is standard for front and rear seats.

By using a mix of ultra-high-strength steel and aluminum, it retains the classic look and impressive performance, with the benefit of added interior space. Once inside, you’re welcomed by supple leather seats with luxury head restraints, optional massage functions and integrated air chambers that fill or empty for better support based on the driving dynamics.
And speaking of driving dynamics, the new G-Class features five available driving modes: Comfort, Sport, Eco, Individual and the all-new G-Mode. In G-Mode, the vehicle automatically adapts the damping of the chassis, the steering and the acceleration, avoiding unnecessary gear shifts and providing precise maneuvering, even in the steepest, most treacherous terrain.

cykablyat734 lol I know G Wagon owners including my family and my mom has been in a massive accident back in 2011 and she was fine (she did have a migraine though and her neck was sore for a couple days I think. I say I think because a similar situation happened with her Land Rover and it didn’t happen long after and I don’t really remember both hospital situations. She has bad luck with driving every car she’s EVER had has been in an accident and it’s never been her fault and I’ve witnessed 4. That’s why she doesn’t drive anything nice anymore lol my dad got her a Hummer because after a G Wagon her second favorite car is a Hummer so ig it’s still a win for her!) while she totaled a Red Dodge Ram that ran a red light while we had a green and turned since we were following my mom because we were going out and I had Hockey practice later while my mom had to go back to work. I also know a couple other G Wagon owners who’ve had experience with an accident where they literally total another vehicle, but their G Wagon is fine (obviously don’t take this super literal I was still a kid, but from what I saw the front left was kind of hit hard and the light and the are around it was a bit messed up. In other words when I saw fine I mean if she wanted to drive off she could easily do so while that ram wouldn’t be able to start). The front was kind of fucked up, but literally nothing serious and my mom was perfectly fine although we still took her to the hospital just in case. The other driver though idk how he was lol. I was only saying my caption just for shits and giggles I know G Wagons are tanks. Ffs just look at them when they’re on the road lmfao I see them daily and they just overpower everything kind of like seeing a Ford Raptor tbh (I fucking love those trucks if I was to do work requiring a truck that’s the only truck I’d look at especially blue with black wheels or blacked out). That’s why I want my mom to get another one so I was looking at this model since they finally changed everything (interior wise) and I’m glad it’s still a tank! I’m excited to be getting an S Class Coupe 63 AMG within the next couple months and since now I’m 19 and not 11 if my mom does get another I’m excited as hell to drive it! I haven’t driven my friends G Wagons (I know multiple owners, but I’m only actually friends with two because the others are girls and also a grade older so I never knew them much.. plus tbh idc to know them either ive also never asked to drive them because I have a 5 series while they are driving $180k vehicles I’d be too paranoid and I don’t really like driving other peoples cars because I’d rather have my own unless it’s a wrangler), but based on the rides and also being able to lmao atleast drive my friends Jeep Wrangler and having a blast going off-roading where we ski at (there’s huge empty lots and it’s got these spaced out mini hills so you can kind of make your own imagery snow track lol ) I know it’s going to be a fuck ton of fun. Idk if there’s a possibility of me getting knocked out. As long as I’m fine and can check on the other individual that’s all I care about. Put it like this my friends G63 AMG Vs my 5 series or my 3 series. Who’s going to survive? Not me that’s for sure. So that’s why I was saying they are tanks because out of practically any vehicle out there any vehicle will get destroyed on impact by a G Wagon. I just wish they had either A. Better gas because if I got a G63 I’m not going to bullshit you and pretend like I’m not going to have fun even though it’s not crazy fast, which is good because I can have a blast without doing anything dangerous (I just mean more like flooring it to the speed limit or if I’m getting on a highway etc I don’t swerve or do dumb shit I have a life and so do others.). Or B I wish more men bought G Wagons because even I imagine myself buying my wife a G Wagon, but yet I want a G Wagon (although I mean I’d be driving it too, but not often I don’t think unless it’s blacked out). I've watched a hundred crash test videos from all cars. This is the strongest, least shattering and deforming vehicle I've seen. Not necessarily always the safest in regards to injury, but very impressive

I think this 2019 model has been engineered to be more safe than the ones sold in the 70's. In fact its largely different underneath, like the front suspension is different than the traditional solid axles. I read that it was supposed to be discontinued by 2014, if Mercedes-Benz didn't bother to modernised it with higher safety standards.
Actually the 2019 G Klass is an entire new car.
