Show no mercy came out in the U.S.A in December of 1983 on Metal Blade Records and the European version came out in 1984 on Roadrunner Records and included Aggressive Prefector as a bonus track.

I knew the Euro version has "Aggressive..." but I was not sure about the release date. The very first issue of German Metal Hammer came out in 1984 and had it was advertised in there. That would have been a very good indicator, hahaha... Thank you for the info.

That Slayer box looks cool I've not seen that before only advertised on Amazon. The Rage I have both of too. I'm such a sucker for that album. The intended artwork is great. That album might've sold better had they been allowed that artwork. That Wax Maniacs reissue is annoying how it chops that much off. Sodom stuff is probably not going to find it's way in my og shelf lol. I'll stick with the CDs. Even the Steamhammer CDs aren't great. I hate my Destruction ones but the vinyl are £38 each on Amazon so again I'll have to stick with them. Kreator 😂 those bullshit reissues I had on cd and couldn't wait to sell them. While I liked the booklets with them the artwork is awful. Looking forward to part 2. Glad to see you back on screen 🤘

The Slayer box is cool, be only to the fact it´s a single LP, hahaha... Love the Rage album as well, I need to check sound/speed differences of the two versions.
All of the older Sodom stuff is petty pricey unfortunately. I try to get it when it´s released since 1987...

Thank you! I left out the sound comparison intentionally, everybody is hearing things a bit different. Some like it more compressed or more "bassy". I usually prefer the old pressings soundwise, the cutting technique in the factories were more precise and the vinyl material had a better quality. Now everything is very rushed. Thank god the "brickwalled" sound of the remasters from a couple of years ago has disappeared, hahaha...

@@albertampel4175 thank you. Yes I completely agree. Most og pressings are better than reissues. Reissues done right are increasingly rare. There is not a lot of attention to details in new vinyl. Pixellated covers, bad mastering etc

I dont understand why official re-issues often change the logo's, layout etc and zoom/cut the original art work or even change it completely, meanwhile the bootleg replica LP's come out looking almost as originals. I guess the big companies do think if it's on vinyl and title is same, it's good enough for "vinyl maniacs". Luckily the worst days of Back on Black etc pressings are over. With today's technology it would't not to be too hard to do exact replicas. And what bugs me is, the "B" letter of Bathory logo on many new/bootleg releases... I mean people did it correctly with ancient software (or manually cut/paste), but too lazy to do it correct with modern (and complete free) software. Trivia: the 1st 1990's Bathory CD editions have correct B letter on back cover, and more we go to near future the font changed to normal "B", after 2003 re-master's it was always normal old english B font.

Have you ever heard Dismember´s "Like an everflowing stream" reissue? The sound quality is horrible and the LP is not even cut right! It´s getting better with Back on Black but if possible I refuse to buy them.

@ampel4175 No I dont have heard that Dismember but I believe. I Sold all my BoB re-issues. I got only "The Return" Under One Flag original, NM/NM old stock copy for 20€ over a decade ago. I did have pause for records in 2004-2009, and missed the other Bathory LP's when they were still reasonable priced at early 2010's. Even did see 1st Bathory Banzai LP for 75€ in 2015 at store and was thinking "too expensive". Damn! Got Kreator "Endless Pain" red vinyl (Noise 1988?) for 25€ from same store, can't complain. Lets see what will happen with the vinyl boom but we will never see the 90's/early 2000's price I guess. The CD's are way to go for many. Albeit the rare CD's will cost a lot too but for common titles it's just like vinyl was.
