the show is written by younger people, the fans from tiktok. they ship jfk and joan just because of the one scene at the end of season 1, they hate abe to death, make the characters do the cringe zoomer speak, and miss the point of what made the show so good in the first place.

This season was honestly an emotional rollercoaster, with it beginning mid, then getting down right horrible, only for the last couple of episodes to be great, with episode 9 being one of the best in the series in my opinion.
phil lord and christopher miller were busy with across the spiderverse when the first episodes were being produced. they apparently came back for the last two

Watching Frida just suffer gay panic for an episode was probably one of the funniest things for me in this whole recap. It made her surprisingly relatable. She's cool most of the time, but even she has her awkward side.
I love their character arcs of going from "yo this sucks" to "wait is this show ACTUALLY good?"

This show falls below those objective markers of what makes a show good. Not even being a good parody show as they just take on the ridiculousness of teen dramas and roll with it. Not even really parodying it beyond some jokes during the run time...

I watched all the reaction episodes separately when they came out, but there’s something so satisfying about watching the full season binge where you can really see how your opinions evolve over the course of the show! I also really enjoyed the back half of the season and wasn’t as upset about the first half as it seems most people were.
The fkn eagle pretending to be a turtle and then eating the turtle is the funniest fucking thing in this reboot. I laughed so hard 😂
19:20 they did an episode about her "hearing gods messages" or something during season 1. Other than that, nothing else.
I think Joan’s (and Gandhi’s) whole thing was being the rebellious clone who instead of working extremely hard to live up to the expectations others placed on her due to her clone mother’s legacy, she decided she didn’t have to do any of it. She just wanted to live her own life and be an individual, which is also portrayed in her “goth girl” appearance. She’s always going against the norm and what society expects from her.

It’s weird this show went from okay, to horrible with episode 5 and 6, then it got amazing with episodes 7 through 10. All I know is that I hope the show continues to keep to keep the ball rolling with what it did in the last 4 episodes
I enjoyed the show around the end but Joan feels kinda different. She's much more emotional than in Season 1

I would like if the characters had a known trait from their original selves. You can argue it for most of them in the original series, but JFK is the most accurate to me.
Frida Kahlo would be more dignified and androgynous. Harriet Tubman would be all about helping the underdog or being a moral compass. Confucius would be more ambiguous or all about studying anthropology, possibly seeing himself as the leader in some situations.
I’m not saying they have to mimic their original selves, but have one trait that is like “oh my god, that is what Frida Kahlo would say”.
You could have an episode where Harriet Tubman does something horrible, but learns from this and realizes that she is not setting a good example for the other students.
