  • A technical problem that global cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike says it has identified in its software and is working to resolve is causing massive outages around the globe for businesses, airlines and people using Microsoft. CrowdStrike provides antivirus software to Microsoft for its Windows devices. CBS News senior transportation correspondent Kris Van Cleave has more on how airlines are responding to the outage and Jamil Jaffer, founder and executive director of the National Security Institute at George Mason University's Scalia Law School, joined CBS News to discuss how an incident like this happens.

      BSOD is a Windows term that goes back decades. It just means that Windows itself crashed. That's what bothers me the most. Why is the operating system (Windows) crashing because of a bad Crowdstrike update? The OS should never crash. This points to a flaw in Windows, in addition to a bad CS update that should never have been deployed without initial testing in a closed environment.

    Here's what's going on in the much larger context. There's a remarkably intense planetary configuration in the astrological and astronomical sense, that indicated a series of intense energetic dynamics occurring during around this very period. From seismic activity to technology to overheated tempers to geopolitical and very "head"y leadership dynamics (e.g. "the bullet") ... even to meteoric occurrences (the extraordinary meteor crossing the midday sky in NYC the other day). Pam Gregory is a world-class astrologer and many others have also noted this configuration in the July charts. In other words, it's bigger than just what the media understands. It's actually "heavenly", but also worth noting and not overdramatising. Try to surf these energy waves with as little drama and as much compassion as possible because Earth is alive, and at the affect of cosmic vibes :-).

    • @kajojo2399
      @kajojo2399 Před měsícem

      What you can find beyond the powers of my Stand is where you need to go in order to find Heaven. What you need is a trustworthy friend. He must be someone capable of controlling his own desires. He must be someone who is not interested in political power, fame, wealth, or sexual desire, and who chooses the will of God before the law of humans.
      What I also need is the lives of more than 36 humans who have sinned, because those who have sinned harbor a strong power within.
      There are 14 phrases that one must keep in mind.
      I'll engrave these words onto my Stand so I won't forget them. What is most necessary is "courage"; I must have the courage to destroy my Stand momentarily. As it disintegrates, my Stand will absorb the souls of the 36 sinners and will give birth to something utterly new.
      Whatever is born will "awaken". It will show interest in the 14 phrases that my trusted friend will utter... My friend will trust me and I will become his "friend".
      Lastly, I need an appropriate location. North latitude, 28 degrees, 24 minutes, West longitude 80 degrees, 36 minutes...
      Go there and wait for the New Moon...
      That's when Heaven will come.

      If only it wasn't a completely separate entity that released an update that crashed windows computers. And the only windows computers that crashed are if you pay for the service that crowd strike provides, and apply the latest update, your computer will crash.
      This is not Microsoft's fault at all I don't understand why we keep on thinking it is.
      Microsoft already has their own antivirus that doesn't crash their computers called Windows defender. Crowd strike is a third party antivirus that you have to pay a separate entity to use. This is not a Microsoft problem This is a crowd strike bringing their customers down problem

      @@jacobchitwood4365 If a company is doing their due diligence? No, this doesn't just happen. But CrowdStrike didn't do their due diligence. They didn't properly test. They didn't roll out the update in waves. They didn't allow IT for companies to test before installing onto workspaces or machines. This is CrowdStrike not doing what they were supposed to do. It's not a cyberattack, this isn't a security concern; this is just a buggy patch. It's just such a buggy patch that there will probably be laws made about this, on top of the probably trillions that will be sued for.

    As layman with no technical background, one would presume with any new "update" one would use it in a phased and with some test live systems before it is massly distributed. Would this not be possible with whatever this update was? Major systems seem to have been affected, critical systems like 911, medical databases, people's online bank account, airline ticketing system, people's home systems, etc,. This is very dangerous as who knows what else might be affected and further ramifications. There are already too many data breaches causing many Americans major financial issues/losses. Do Americans now need to be worried about IT companies causing issues with regular system updates?
