Love Jaine Austen! I wonder if Laura Levine would do an interview with you? Not only has she worked on great sitcoms, she also invented Count Chocula!!! 😂🥣🧛
I didn't realise there were so many California cozies either LOL! I am caught up on the Cheese Shop series and can't wait for No. 5 (it's a favourite of mine as well). I also loved the Winnie Archer series - sadly, I have a feeling it has ended? I read the first few Bibliophile books but somehow forgot about that series (thanks for the reminder). I am about 33% into the first book, a Body in the Bookstore, in Ellie Alexander's new series - I think it is set in California (it only came out yesterday) xo
Hey Moira! There are soo many! I just finished an arc of the new cheese shop…soooo fantastic!! 5🧀! The Bread shop is over?!?…oh I hope not! I hope you are loving the new Ellie series!! 💖💖☕️📚☕️📚☕️🧀🧀😊🍑🦋🦄🍪🌼🌈🌼🌈🌼
Two other California cozy mysteries that I love are Nick and Nora Mysteries by TC LoTempio and The California Bookshop series by Samara Yew. I highly recommend both!
Hey Cat! I really want to try the Nick and Mora series?!? Oh hey…are you in the ktwc discord. I was trying to message you to ask you a question about kill or bee killed. I couldn’t find you, but was t sure of your username. 💖💖☕️📚☕️📚🧀🍪🦄🦋🍑😊🌼🌈🌼🌈🌼
Gigi Pandini and Kate Carlisle’s bibliophile series are two of my favorite authors. Gigi Pandini is like next level cozy. What I love about Gigi’s is they have a magic element without being at all paranormal. You still have to stretch your imagination and it challenged my sense of what’s possible at times. But she ties them together SO well at the end. It all makes sense. I like some but similar to what you’ve shared, I don’t like them to get too paranormal.
Hey Elishava! I need to get back to the secret staircase series…like you think it’s very intriguing! I’m moving the bibliophile closer to the top of my tbr! 💖💖📚☕️📚☕️📚😊🦄🧀🦋🍑🍪🌼🌈🌼🌈🌼
Estherjane here. As always love the suggestions. I started reading the series with author Sparkle Abbey a/k/a Mary Lee Ashford because one of the books has a Greyhound in it. After fostering 31 Greyhounds just had to read it but like Storm had to start with number 1😊
I think I literally dropped everything I was doing to watch this series! I can't wait for my birth state and my current resident state to make this list!
Hey Kate! I’m having a great time with/ this challenge! What is your home state…I know your current state (not in a stalker way…in a you just emailed it to me sort of way lol lol). 🌼💖💖📚☕️📚☕️📚🍪🦄🦋🍑😊🧀🌼🌈🌼🌈🌼
@theBeachbumbookworm lol it's all good, I'm so ok with you knowing my current residence state ! My home state is Colorado! I'm so looking forward to that video on the road trip, will both, and who am I kidding, I'm looking forward to all of them
I love the Enchanted Garden series. I wish there were more than three books in the series. It does have some paranormal elements but very light on that. Bailey Cattrell is the same person as Bailey Cates who has the Magical Bakery series set in Savannah Georgia.
I'll add The Sassy Cat Mystery series by Jennifer J. Chow. It's set in Los Angeles and the first book is Mimi Lee Gets a Clue. Mimi owns a pet grooming business and she has a cat who talks. Well, only she can understand Marshmallow and he does come in helpful when interviewing pet witnesses...except for dogs, Marshmallow says their attention span is nil and intelligence questionable. Bwahaha. sorry Kyrou, I don't think that of course, but you know cats! Honestly, the talking cat angle sounds weird but it really works and is loads of fun. This is an older series, I think and finished after four books.
I have read the first 3 in the Witchcraft series by Juliet Blackwell and I remember them being pretty paranormal and even a little dark for a cozy mystery…
My favorite CA series is the Crochet Series by Betty Hechtman. There was a long gap between 14 and 15 which came out last year so I hope that means there will be more.
Hey Julie! Oh yeah! Ooh! I haven’t read a Vegas cozy, but I did just read the first book in the costume shop by Diane Vallere (5☕️’s) …it takes place about an hour from Vegas. Soooo good!! Hope you had a wonderful trip!! 💖💖☕️📚☕️📚🍪🦄😊🦋🍑🧀🌼🌈🌼🌈🌼
I love the Witchcraft mystery series by Juliet Blackwell. I’m currently all caught and I’m thinking it may be done since there hasn’t been a book since 2021. It’s very heavy in paranormal so I’m sure this is not going to the series for you.Bailey Cattrell is wonderful series!
Hi Tiffany. I love Ellie Alexander and she has a new series set in Redwood Grove, California. It's the "Secret Bookcase" series. There are 2 books out and number 3 is coming out in September. Also... can you please tell me what SAS stands for... I know you have already informed me, but my only excuse is that I'm old, tired and it's HOT! lol
Hey Humberta! Im starting book one today! Cant wait! Lol…I Get it! SAS=serious about series. It’s to help serial series readers (like me) lol 💖💖📚☕️📚☕️📚🦄🍑💋🦋🍪😊🌼🌈🌼🌈🌼
Hello! Sas = serious about series! It’s for people like me who are serial series readers. I pick so many series s year to really try to focus on getting caught up or significantly progress in. You should totally check out and subscribe to her channel…she is great!! 💖💖😊☕️📚☕️📚🧀🍑🦋🍪🦄🌈🌼🌈🌼

Murder by the seashore by Samara Yew first book in the series set in Southern California is a great one
Hey Claudia! Oh yeah…that was a good one! The cover is also great!
💖💖📚☕️📚☕️🧀😊🍑🦋🦄🍪🌼🌈🌼🌈🌼
That would be my California pick too. Loved the cozy elements in Murder by the seashore! And the mystery was well done too.
