I think he added it for this reason. Right before there is a bar about him destroying the youth. He dissed the rappers in Ill Minds 5 that destroy youth. So I think it was his way of saying he’s considered himself turning into one of those rappers. Just my take on it.

The way I interpreted this song was that the "person" talking to Marcus wasn't the Hopsin character but just a visualization of his invasive dark thoughts/depression. So him "killing" Hopsin in the end was really him killing his dark thoughts and/or depression.
Yeah, which makes sense coming off the NF collab given his niche is mental health issues. His (Hopsin) video recently about his mental/emotional wellbeing & the dark place he lived in supports that idea as well

This is how hopsin explains it too. "Hopsin" has nothing to do with his kid or baby mama or any of those similar things. The purpose was to expose his dark inner thoughts that were destroying him.

This is one of the songs he wrote when he was in a bad place, thankful he’s in a better place now
I wouldn’t say that he’s in a good place right now. He talked about the same stuff in NF’s recent drop Lost as well.
@@willlong2025 he actually is in a much better place now compared to when he wrote this songs, he mentioned on interviews that his recent songs will be from the end of last year when he was going through an extremely tough time, he’s also said in recent interviews how he is doing much better now thankfully, of course as fans we will always worry and care no matter what, the song with nf also went with the theme of nf’s song itself and you’re right it flashes on dark subjects but mostly for hopsin thats in the past

Damn.... GREAT song and one of the best music videos I've ever seen.... Btw, this was a great review. I 100% agree with you that Hopsin is one of the best (and certainly one of my personal favorites) doing it right now. He obviously dedicates a truly immense amount of time, thought, and TRUE effort into his Craft and clearly puts his entire heart and soul into everything he does. What he creates GENUINELY means something to him on a deeper level. He definitely has a level of honesty, oppeness , and dare I say vulnerability that you just don't see in other rappers/pop "artists". It gives his music an amazingly real/genuine and extremely raw quality that is refreshingly original and undoubtedly sets him apart from (I would argue a notch above) most of hisbcontemporaries. Hopsin is not just an amazing rapper, he is a PHENOMENAL ARTIST.
The fact that you got The Mask reference made me smile so god damn much as someone from his generation. No other channel has gotten that. Anyways keep making great content my dude. Love your vids and music.

Just listened to this, man this song has to be one of his darkest joints yet. I could be wrong but I think he’s doing ok because he posted a vid on his channel saying he’s in better place now and that the newer stuff he puts out doesn’t reflect his current life (I’m paraphrasing so not his exact words but you know what I mean).
