    There's a reason there's not much competition in this space. I called 5 concrete grinding companies in my area before finding one that would grind the concrete in my business. 4 of 5 said they no longer offered the service, and two of the people told me directly that they got cancer from grinding concrete. Be careful out there, everyone. It's REALLY dangerous.
    The company that did come came in a hazmat suit with a large grinder like the one in the video that had two 5-foot-tall vacuums attached to the back of it.
    "You got weak lungs, Paul."

      @@pnwprowash1 That's very true. The work definitely has to get done, and certainly makes for great business. Just adding my experience with the topic. Before contacting companies, I rented a small and large grinder. I tested out the handheld one, got dust all in my face and called the companies. And as I've said, most declined to grind my floors. It certainly can be a very dangerous job without adequate protection. Just because there's a demand for a service doesn't mean it's not dangerous or potentially hazardous to your health. I'm not making any assumptions about your company or insinuating that you haven't taken all possible precautions to keep you and your workers healthy.

Lots of smart business owners ceos will do this and the deposits they collect cover the upfront costs. It’s almost like kickstarter but you do it yourself. This is how everyone should start . Get the job first then worry about how to get it done. The battle is getting clients . Business is getting clients nothing else. The job needs to turn out nice yes but the only battle is customer acquisition that’s pretty much what business is.

      @@ryanreviews1741 I just would have thought it would be a hard sell at that price point? It's not a high priority in how people spend their money right? Most concrete cracks are non structural so a coating is usually for aesthetic reasons only was my understanding?

    • @ryanreviews1741
      @ryanreviews1741 Před rokem +4

      I think it probably does fall into aesthetics for sure, I did construction and we frequently did bathroom remodels. People would take their perfectly good functional bathroom and wanted to completely change the look or update it, much like how the concrete here serves its purpose and the cracks aren’t structural people may just want an updated look and to have it look nicer. In terms of selling it I think people can be talked into buying just about anything if they’re even mildly interested and if they have enough money to do so especially if you provide some type of benefit, so just telling people that your floor is going to last another 20-30 years just from having it coated then breaking it down to you’re only paying $5800 or roughly $200 per year for 30 years of worry free use of the floor I see no problem in understanding how someone could be sold on something like this.
