I had a stalker too who kept trying to get me in his car as I walked alone. I finished work at 11pm and had to walk a few quiet streets away in the dark to get my last bus home. Guy used to follow me slowly in his car and harassing me. He visited my work and kept trying to get my personal details too.

@@sycration I live in a blue city in a red state but I’ve helped friends in similar situations find pro bono organizations to help get a restraining order and while it doesn’t do that much and it’s the courts that issue them so it’s not really calling the cops it at least adds a little more legal weight to further harassment

as someone who went down the incel rabbit hole; it’s pure mind poison. Even years on my brain sometimes still chimes in with those old thoughts and feelings, but now I know how to break them down and take them apart in a way that really helped me through it all. It’s such an affirming community too, a comforting (in a sense) mindset, takes all the responsibility off making yourself a better person and shifts blame entirely to women. I do get that small echo or quick sharp pain whenever I see or hear about someone being shallow as hell and I just think of myself being at the shitty end of that stick. Thank god I have good friends and my partner that help pulled me out of that endless pit.

That was one the scariest videos I've ever seen... the realization that there is a whole community of these guys is terrifying. This is legitimately terrifying. I'm obsessed with Horror movies and never seen anything this scary. I've had stalkers and met guys online that have said some of these things or had concerning sexual interests but never been so blatant and in your face about it. I got unusually tired for me that night and started falling asleep while we were watching that movie Sucker Punch it had just come out. I never fall asleep around other people or other peoples houses, I've gone 48 hours without sleeping easily and I was so uncomfortable but I truly honestly think my own cousin drugged me. They had a room prepared for me so I went to bed and passed out immediately, again something that never happens! I woke up to my cousin standing over me in the middle of the night and he looked startled like I caught him. He asked me if I wanted water or something. I was just like... "No-uh...?" Like wtf! The next day I learned that was their bedroom I was sleeping in and they took the guest bedroom. That was 10 years ago and I haven't spoken to him since. His mother is proud of him but another female cousin of mine and I have had similar interactions with him so I know I'm not imagining it. Any man that has the ears to hear it, please just treat women with respect and empathy! Men can be so scary and sometimes we're not even safe from our own family members.
