You can tell that this guy really has a lot of love for the Haunted Mansion and it makes this tour really enjoyable. :)
I'm liking this "behind the scenes" series
I think it's a bit boring. Like a cheap dark ride filled with defunct rides and things you find at a common Halloween store. I give it a solid C+ overall
@@slashismyhommie8182 like you could do better
Same :)
That guy is so passionate about his haunted house. Absolutely fantastic to hear all the little details inside such a ride.
I got REALLY excited when I saw this video, and then realized my interests are very specialized. Absolutely loving these dark ride walkthroughs, a severely overlooked artform worthy of appreciation.
Slothy Vlogs has a great UK fun fair ghost train build video. Worth checking out.
@@SANITIZEDINC Thanks for the recommendation, that was pretty good, and it looks like they've got quite a few ghost train videos to enjoy.
Knoebel's is one of the best places to go to in PA
Man that has to be the most genuine and realistic scream ever @ 26:49. LOL
That truck horn and lights can give you a heart attack. I know it scared me watching it.
I'm impressed with how effective that effect was, for being so simple.
I've ridden this I don't know how many times and the horn and headlights still startles me!
What a delight. Your guide is so enthusiastic. You can feel the love for the history and legacy of this neat-o ride.
This for me was like a warm hug 🤗. As a kid every (EVERY) Summer was spent at Knoebeles Grove. I've always loved the Haunted Mansion with the exception of that dang horn ( every freaking time lol).
Thank you so much for getting a behind the scenes look of this. I live in KY but my heart is in Knoebeles.
I love how in one breath he keeps up the kayfabe of the ride and with the other says things like "Its a tissue paper of lies" and explains the props. Great video! That guy loves his work!
I can't get enough of the behind the scenes! Thank you for getting out there to see what we can't!
I went to Knoebles for the first time, earlier this month. Because of your endorsement, I rode the Haunted Mansion straight away. It did not disappoint. I found REAL terror on the Twister roller coaster.
This haunted house bring back so many memories. I live 30 min from Knoebels we go multiple times a year. Wish I would’ve known you were there I would’ve came to get your autograph!
I would love to see a behind-the-scenes of The Black Diamond as well, if ever possible!
Woohoo! What a nice late night surprise! Thank you carpetbagger! :)
She is right I saw it late last night too!
Cool of Knoebels to hook our boy Carpetbagger up with behind the scenes.. That is a great park. He did a great job of explaining everything in the Haunted House. Another great video .
That was great to see the behind-the-scenes look at these old-time dark rides. Compressed air the Carpetbagger's one weakness.
That was super cool! Loved seeing the mechanics behind the animated props.
It's up early. Stream and a new video. Awesome.
Clicked straight as I saw this. Keep up the good work. Loving the vids
Lots of new things since my last visit. I miss the glow in the dark skull room and I wasn’t sure about some of the other changes, but in the dark, everything comes together very nicely. Still the best dark ride out there. Thank you for taking us along for your tour.
I love the way the bright lights flashed for just a moment on the animatronics. Actually made it a lot scarier!
Behind the scenes?! You spoil us
Knoebels' is one of my favorite places in the world and I always talk about it when people talk about incredible amusement parks. This is the place of my childhood and I still go well into my adult years. The haunted mansion is the only spooky ride I can do and it's such a treat! Thank you for this incredible behind the scenes look of a treasured favorite!!
Awesome video! Makes me wanna go to PA! I love seeing these older parks. Thanks!
This content just gets better and better.
Also I can’t believe you got a little private tour with the lights on! That’s crazy but so cool!
I live 15min from here and it's such a great quality amusement park
Awesome video. I love walk throughs. You get to see so much work that is put into dark rides. Thank you..Stay safe and stay blessed
Getting the VIP treatment .. Very nice jacob
Wonderful video! I grew up in SE PA and absolutely LOVED going to Knoebels every summer. We would camp in their campground, frolic in that glorious pool by day, and hit the amusement park in the evening. And some of the most helpful and friendly staff anywhere; glad to see the tradition is going strong.
I love almost all the places you bring us but my favorites will forever be the dark rides. Yay! Thanks Jacob! 🤗
i love behind the scenes stuff, very fun. these things take me back an old carnival ride of questionable safety and dubious maintenance and craftsmanship regardless of the ingenuity required to keep it simple, where the dark is not only used for effect, but also to hide how, well, cheap everything really is when the lights are switched on.
this one looks just like a blast with layers of history piled on making it a real rare treasure. it's charming and reminds me of a bygone era. well, at least computers are good for *something*....
Loving this video! Great work!!!! Love behind the scenes videos!
Even though I didn't grow up with Dark Rides; They definitely have their charms and I can appreciate the craftsmanship and all the fun that goes into them, I want to ride them now!
You have no idea how excited I was to see the title of this video Knoebels as one of my absolute favorite favorite Amusement parks I’ve been going since 2000 in the haunted mansion is one of my favorite rides
Excellent episode! Both of those rides are amazing, love the insider views.
What a fantastic video you did. Thank you!!
This is just wonderful. Thank you!
Your tour guide was fantastic with in information. Thank you.
The cockroach being experimented on with shock therapy made me lose it XD I love the energy the caretaker has, and I'm glad he takes so much pride and joy in his job!
The tour guide loves his haunted house, and so do we. What a fascinating behind the scenes look at a nostalgic favorite. Thanks for making this video that we can enjoy again and again. Got a great big smile on my face the whole way through. Only 12 when I first rode it, but at 58, I still can't get enough. You can tell how much passion went into this creation.
Behind the scenes are great! Thanks for showing us!!
I was waiting all day for a carpetbagger video!
This was a neat tour .thank you ❤️

I love Knobles. Haven't been there since I was a kid but the haunted house still stands out in my mind. can't wait to go back!
Love it! So old school and so vintage! Gonna have to get you behind the scenes at some of our haunts!
I love behind the scenes videos! Thank you ❤
Hey thank you for this. Very enjoyable
Thanks for the behind the scene visit to the mansion, Jacob! I used to love that mansion ride when I was young (I remember when it had the corridor of floating skulls with the Halloween music playing). The host did a great job showing all of the cool props.
I really, really enjoyed this. Thanks, Jacob and the guys who allowed him to film backstage!
I follow your channel and just saw this installment for the first time.....great!
Thank you, we really enjoy your behind the scenes videos
That was great getting so much behind the scenes footage :)
HEY JACOB What's Up.. Well that is Pretty Awesome Seeing the Inner Workings of the Haunted Mansion dark Ride you don't realize how much work and upkeep someplace like That entails and roller coaster is the same thing the work that it takes to keep it going is insane great job and see you next adventure
lights-on walkthroughs are the best, love 'em
I love the tombstone with the name Tracy on it... Paying homage to Bill Tracy, the Great Dark Ride artist.
He was the man!
What a fun and interesting video!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! What a great Old School amusement park. So is Waldemeer's
Jacob, these cehind the scenes/dark ride videos are the best thing on youtube!! Thank you from London , England!!!!!
This is fantastic. Just fantastic.
My husband and I love Knoebels Haunted Mansion!!! Thanks so much for taking us along!!!!
Great tour!
The guide that took you thru the Haunted Mansion was very interesting n drolly humourous commentator!! Very cool to see the behind the scenes workings of the rides!!! Attaboy, Carpetbagger!!!!
Awesome video Bagger! Knoebels is the best and such Americana. Can’t wait for when you finally are able to ride Flying Turns as it lives up to the hype. In the meantime, enjoy old school rides like the Whipper and the bumper cars
Glad you're back here!!!! PA welcomes you!!
Okay Jacob go off! 🙌 Truly amazing stuff!
G R E A T !!! Thanks so much. Nice to listen to someone who loves their job.
So excited to be watching this as someone who lives in NEPA and has been there many times every year. It is really fun during fall also! The prices are amazing, the workers are very pleasant and it is in a beautiful area.
This is cool thanks for showing me this.
Loved seeing the dark ride behind the scenes!! So fascinating!
Yeah! love to see this!
I rode the haunted mansion ride once in the late 90s as a kid with my dad i was scared out of my mind. The ONLY 2 things i actually remember seeing are the piano player and Ruth!
They've added A LOT to the ride since then! Some things are updated versions of the original gags and others have completely changed. I like how they keep it fresh.
Amazing !
I'm having my wedding reception there next year!
The haunted ride reminds me of the one in Ed Wood. I love it!
Your videos are awesome, more specifically I love watching your videos, more specifically I binge watch your videos 🥰😇
Been there all my life and thank you for the inside information. Never knew that.
Thanks for uploading this, I am in love with this ride and go multiple times each year just to ride it
Love the behind the scenes stuff!!
What an awesome place. I know you have been before but seeing the behind scenes is rare and lots of fun. Be glad when you can ride that coaster as it seems so unusual That was very cool of them to show you around like that. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well ❤.
I really love the behind the scenes videos that you started doing!
Love your videos man
Awesome!
So much detail one probably never notices. I like these behind the scene videos👍
The dungeon is so detailed, i knew it was one if the more full rooms on the ride but i never realized how much there is in there.
Fantastic
Heard about you on Reddit and I'm instantly subscribed! Love the content!
I love this so much.
Great episode, Jacob.
You're hilarious! I love how you appreciate the humbug and history of it all.
I love this. You can definitely tell that the care taker really LOVES his job. 🙂
Jake: “I hate Rollercoasters.”
Minutes later: proceeds to ride the entire Flying Turns bobsled coaster 😂
i hate rollercoasters also. Flying turns is different feeling and does not hurt my chest
SO much fun! :P I love it :)
Amazing what sound, lighting, and timing do
i met you at knoebels about 2 years ago and it's still one of my favorite memories lol
Fantastic video Jake!! It was very nice of the folks at the park to let us see the 'behind peaks'.
What they also do is a behind the scenes tours for folks when they have an auction, where the highest bidders get a tour of the Haunted Mansion & the money raised goes to a wonderful children's organization to help out children. They've been doing that for years.
How k👀l is that !?!
