Suggest Games for me to Play Here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FA... - Hry
1:19:41 Here is a little hint that the game doesn't directly tell you: After encountering Al-An and while he is in your head, the Sea Monkeys change their behavior towards the player. They now offer you random resources, with a higher chance to offer you any resources from recipes you pinned. The diamond you got is as a result of pinning the recipe for the laser cutter, which requires diamond.
Oh
The game tell us this, via PDA entry named "the gift of sea monkey". He just didn't read it, even when finally opening the page in 3:34:50
@@bl4ckm4nt4 Well, I know about the PDA entry you are referring to, but it doesn't say anything about Al-An. It just mentions the sea monkeys "changed their tune" as in they now offer resources rather than steal them, without mentioning why or how. Pinning recipes to make sea monkeys give you resources is something not easy to deduce, and I have seen many players avoid sea monkeys or attack them all game because they didn't understand their behavior change after the player encounters Al-An.
that's dope
😮
I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I think the Pengwings and Penglings are named after a documentary where Benedict Cumberbatch failed to pronounce "Penguin" multiple times :D
I thought exactly the same thing. 😅
That would make so much sense 😂😂😂
wow like when that baldwin guy who failed to pronounce Neanderthal correctly multiple times and they just left it in. made that the funniest documentary on early human evolution that i have ever seen. i had to stop watching because i couldn't handle it.
Agreed
So that's what that random chatter was talking about in episode 1! I forgot about that cumberbatch meme lol!
I'm really glad you decided to pick this up. It's giving a lot of people exposure to subnautica and that's so awesome. You playing it has really got me interested in restarting it too! 😅
Subnautica is an Amazing game that a lot of People still don't know about and I really hope they are going to make Subnautica 3 and on Unreal Engine 5 like the Rumors are saying but they are just rumors but I'm hoping
It actually inspired me to download the game (despite not playing it bc i was very fixiated on beating terraria solo and only really got into it very recently) I now really wanna get the 2nd game but its too expensive for my average game costs.
Hey insym, I don’t normally comment, but I just wanted to thank you for posting these long form videos. It’s a great break from the constant dopamine rush that CZcams provides, whilst also being entertaining and chill. Thanks
21:13
Insym: Dude you f-king died man…
Insym: He’s dead as hell…
Insym: Oh! (Immediate Loot Goblin)
Yeah he was like: Oh look a penny!
lol
That’s it. You’ve made me replay below zero again right after the first game. Your perspective and watching you experience it all made me appreciate this game more. Thank you Insym
Watching him try to find a wreck and going out and taking literally the biggest circle possible around where the wreck is is so funny to me
Thank you for starting your Subnautica series because it was what motivated me to finally play these games, and I've really enjoyed watching you play it and love both games as much as I did. I understand where some of the criticism for Below Zero came from but I still think it's a wonderful game, and it's nice to see some positive feedback for it. Also, since you asked for recommendations for other creepy water-based games in another video (I forgot which one), I highly recommend trying out Return of the Obra Dinn if you haven't already. You play as an investigator tasked with finding out the identities and fates of sixty people aboard a merchant ship by viewing their last moments and exploring the scene at the time of their deaths. I know you mentioned in one of your videos that you're not a huge fan of detective games, but it's a very well done game with a focus on exploration and detail, and I think you'd really appreciate the story, art style, creature design, and gameplay. It's not creepy in the way that Subnautica or Dredge are as there's never danger to the player, but it's incredibly atmospheric and unsettling with so much to explore, so I really recommend it if you're still looking for other sea games.
Subnautica will always be a classic.
Can't wait to see you do other classics like terraria!
The best part of the prawn suit is that you can go doom slayer mode on the leviathans and go nuts, All you need is a grapple hook, a drill arm and a repair tool
I defeated two shadow leviathans and I do not fear them anymore.
SPOILER
The way death mechanics work on Subnautica: when you die you will lose items you have picked up since the last time you were inside your base (possibly also seatruck and other vehicles but I can't recall if they count for locking your inventory off from loss on death.) Except for beacons which ALWAYS drop, so if you always carry one it will always mark where you died.
Loving these subnautica playthroughs alot so far i hope you keep making playthroughs of games like this!
Hey Insym I'm not sure if anyone told you but you are missing the best part of the game! The Jukebox music is all made exclusively for the game and aren't copyrighted (Or at least you won't get struck by YT or Twitch for it). Plus the music is the best in this game. Also you can turn the volume of the jukebox up and down on the jukebox itself so that it isn't too loud while you are in base. The speakers allow the jukebox to be heard in other rooms that are further away. It's so cool I had two speakers in my base because I made it a tower and had them on opposite sides of the room so it was like surround sound lol.
I was looking for a comment like this. When I played I had music on constantly. Also you can add your own mp3s in the file folder and listen to your own music in game. the quality is really nice too.
@@TheMiseh1 ah I didn't know that but I streamed this myself and I had a viewer tell me that you don't get stuck for the jukebox music. Just passing on the news.
Oh heck yeah. Kind of been down because of living recently and the subnautica streams give me a chance to relax, shut off my mind and enjoy something for a few hours while I get chores done.
34:54 This is the way
gotta love these almost 4hr playthroughs :D
Omg imagine building the base UNDER those Tentacle like rocks or wtf are those, and looking up at night. Peace.
Just finished the first episode, go back to the youtube front page, and see this one uploaded 30 minutes ago! What a pleasant experience!
below zero was an early access game...the did a mayor shift near the end and changed so much about the game. i enjoy it alot. cant wait for u to discover the secret of the vent garden livatrans
I love all the subnautica videos, whether it is the first one, or below zero! Just getting to see someone play through it for the first time is like reliving it yourself in a new light haha
Also, I think the first Subnautica map was definitely pretty big, the different biomes that you thought were the same, were actually just in a different portion of the map, they were spread everywhere!
Thanks for all your awesome content !
I love that this is enough of a different game to still feel like a new experience after just watching Insym playthrough the first Subnautica
Another note, you are not remotely done with that wreck that you said you finished. The wrecks in this game all require a little exploration within to find everything, you only went into the first room and left and didn't fully explore the whole second wreck you went in, the parallel processing units are the main story reason to be in the wrecks but they aren't the only thing you can find to scan.
3:37:38 best quote of all time. "I guess i'm pissing into the suit, huh".
Grav Traps are OP as hell for food gathering. Have you tried feeding peepers to a leviathon? In the first subnautica game you could feed them and make them docile (at least briefly) toward you
I fed the stalkers and bone sharks. Warper didn't want food.. LOL
Grav traps are amazing for keeping an early game supply of fish for food and water accessible, it absolutely broke my soul when Insym found the grave trap in episode one and called it "completely useless" having never actually used it in Subnautica and clearly not planning on using it in below zero
Did you ever read the Sam Messages? They were unlocked on the PDA when you entered the lifepod at the beginning of the game, but I don’t recall you listening to them.
I found U from the observation duty games long ago and U just been great content and I love your game throughs, I rarely find new youtubers/streamers that I enjoy watching but I found you, and when you started playing subnautica that was Golden for me xD and your dredge series that was something special, sure is a difference from your own blind experience and the gameplay controlled partly by stream chat
The Sea-J and Psyc-H2O is absolutely genius. Also, I did second that when you said Aquarium Module sounded so bad so unnecessary and you wanted it 🤣🤣
lol, just finished watching this one on twitch. I'm glad I can watch your playthrough there, after you're done streaming
Quantum lockers are actually the goat. They take up 4 slots to have in your inventory but when dropped have 16 slots inside that are synced between all quantum lockers. It's essentially a free extra 12 slots of inventory. I would 100% use it to store things like tools or critical components that you can access anywhere and/or don't want to lose upon dying. Unlike the waterproof locker, it actually does function more like a Shulker box. You can also just make a bunch of them to put next to beacons at points of interest for quick access to certain tools or items for that area, or even just as an inventory checkpoint. They're incredibly useful, I wouldn't skip out on using them just because it only has 16 slots.
I built my first base in the lilypad biome because of how cool the area and creatures are, especially the glow whales
The sea truck dock. Repairs and charges.
Four hours!! Sir, you spoil us. I'm so glad you're enjoying the game so much! I'm having a blast watching
I love the videos you make all from Ghost hunting to Subnautica. Now we just need simulator games too lol Insym Eurotruck Adventures.
I'm having so much fun watching these videos 😂
I built my base in the twisted coral reef too. I called my base Atlantis though, instead of home lol.
Am I the only one screaming "Take the Beacon"? Lol Love the playthrough. So happy to see the playthrough of both Subnautica and Below Zero
Quality of life tip just in case. Carry a beacon with you at all times. The beacon will always drop, so you'll have a way point if you die and lose items you need :)
???
@@Im_Iconic-Youre_Ironic !!!
If you click off of the fabricator while it’s fabricating you can walk around and do stuff while it fabricates. It’ll auto go to your inventory.
I'm loving this game!❤❤😊
We want two episode a day
Pleeeeaaaaseeeeee😢😢
The environments in Below Zero are so beautiful, I mean Subnautica was beautiful too but I’m so in love with all the glowing stuff 😍
Quality of life suggestions... the seatruck dock is nicer because it will auto attach your seatruck modules and remove them when you dock.
In the moonpool you have to manually detach the modules then park in the moonpool. Then when you exit you have to line up and manually reattach the modules.
The seatruck dock doing it all for you is really nice.
Great content and i love this game, please keep up the awesome work ❤
I love how Insym didn't like the Quantum chest but it literally is an inventory upgrade of 12 slots. No one really utilizes it's other feature of being a shared inventory isn't as useful but the more inventory space is a plus.
you can cut the jell sacks and then plant them like crops.
Hello again! Make sure to watch out for Bob the third... *evil laughing*
Whales are awesome, and Robin can ride them, it's so beautiful
YEEEEEEESSSSSSS, Just in time for a bedtime video! 😍🥰
im pretty sure they included the seatruck dock module for your base from a mod creator which originally created it which explains it's different style from the rest of the base and that minor oversight the you can't access the upgrades
Another great episode Insym! You said you liked just instrumental music, you might like Ivan Torrent. He has some albums, The Reverie album - Human legacy 😊
subnautica below zero occurs at the poles 24 years after subnautica’s events took place. The company wanted to colonize the planet after they found that it had life and they tried to do so. That decision led to the events in subnautica below zero. also have you seen the land leviathan yet? it’s frozen in ice. Also your videos are amazing and i’m glad that your having fun!
Dude, I'm lava! I'm LAVA! That was fuckin' awesome! I'm dyin' over here.
Love the yellow sea truck. It's a school bus! 🚍
31:32
And that is one of the most dangerous parts about diving
Woooo! More Subnut! :D
"all you had to do was follow the dam train, cj"
I absolutely died when that leviathan was ragdolling the PSYC-H20 😅😂
My Jaw Dropped when I seen this!!
for a game ending with Zero, that's your patience, chill winston!
I love the conversations with ALAN, it's interesting to see how neurotypicals think, like the people who wrote the script were obviously neurotypicals, or at least portraying one, because when ALAN speaks about inferiority, it's like yeah, pretty much, lost generational knowledge, our breathing tube is our eating tube, we truly have some silly evolutionary adaptations lol.
"How does this work, wouldn't it flood the base?"
The base can flood in various ways, but all base modules can vent flooded compartments once integrity is restored.
I wish they didn't remove the sound when getting a new blueprint. It was so satisfying in the first game
The fact that Insym's base is close to a diamond Cave is kinda fun when he complains about it Beeing expensive when he need it xD
Love this game love the vids ^^
No spoilers, but look more into the sea monkeys, they'll help your loot goblin strategy ;)
FYI, seems the sea monkeys will bring you items when you have stuffed pinned that you need for crafting
hhahahaha i was waiting for the lily paddler panic XD
insym should make the recyclotron, so he can recycle unwanted stuff back into the pieces used to craft it!
gotta love the Indian voice for the PDA and the roast of calling you a loser for not being able to find titanium
What would happen if you ate a Lilly paddler😂you might be able to taste colors
Subnautica was just so amazing that people thought Below Zero was 'bad' compared to it. It's like comparing 10/10 to 8/10; the 8/10 is still really good, but it doesn't live up to the first game.
Another issue a lot of people had was that Subnautica was unintentionally terrifying at times (according to the developers) so when that was 'corrected' in Below Zero, a lot of people felt it had ruined the atmosphere and tension that people loved in the first game.
Subnautica felt like exploring a living world that was bigger than the player, and didn't care if you lived or died. Below Zero was like taking a museum tour through the souvenirs of someone else's exploration, built for the ease of your consumption
dont know if this will be in time for the next time insym plays this but he could get samples from all plants and just put them in beds at his base
when his seatruck gets long enough, he can just do a frontflip to kill fishies infront of him
Also I have not finished the video yet so I don't know if you have figured this out yet but, you have already found what you need to get those diamonds out of that cave. I won't say what it is in case you consider being told what item you have that does something you are still looking for a solution to to be a spoiler, but check your blueprints...not sure if the item in question will say anything about it being useful for getting things out of small crevices but you have already found it and just never read about it or built it or cared that it existed after you scanned it back in episode one.
You make me happy ❤❤
Fun fact, the plants don't store values for how many seeds have been taken. Replanting them gives you an infinite seed "glitch" essentially.
The name could be...
Matter.
Soda can.
Or Mamalona.
It normaly used to name a vehicle that you know that is not pretty or perfect. But you know that it gets the job done. The name is used in México
You could actually grab the othe modules and push them into the others to attach them to your seatruck and they don't get any damage that way
I was waiting 2 full days for this grown man to realise his sea truck is the wrong color
Focus and patience.
I'm playing blind alongside his run, and it legit bugs me how lucky he gets with finding stuff. Only thing I got that he didn't is the Seatruck storage. I haven't happened across any PRAWN parts at all.
U would make a compilation of all of ur first encounters in subnautica and observation duty
Will you also be playing natural selection?
It is I believe in the same universe as Subnautica, remember what they say when you craft a knife in the first game? That all weapons were banned except the knife
That's because of the events of natural selection, that is one of many references to it
0:20 in the beginning the game was like bad as shit. I bought it the first 24 hours it was out. And ofc it was still early access I think. But it was baddd, it didn't had solid story and there was not much to do. Also many voicelines have been added
3:11:50 How dare he insult such a masterpiece. That was fire when I was 12
Sea-Jay and PsychoAquatic
Just bought the game after watching this series
I love this game but the reason people hated on it (IMO) was because of how much they took out during development. For example a sea emperor juvenile was swimming around in the lilypad and the ice dragon was scrapped.
Scared of the big shrimp because me too U_U
Insym if I could I would donate 100 bucks for being such an amazing content creator. Would love to have a friend like you fr
In these games Insym reminds me of Steve Irwin.
This leviathan could literally swallow me whole 😲..... Imma go scan it 😐
last time i watched you you were about 130k subs
fun fact you can go inside the vent garden jelly fish if u swim inside its mouth below 😆
not sure if you know already or tried it during this very video im watching but did you know u can ride the whales on their luminescent antenna ^^
The spiral plants are near the vent jellyfish things in purple biome
Hah yeah the modules can be attached directly when built.
2:34:00 yeah why didn’t you take the processing unit out of the broken down, decaying, moss filled ship. I’m sure the processing unit was still functional.
Let's go! 😁😁
Who else noticed that in the intro the game in the top right corner says September 2022.
