Thank you for putting this reading on CZcams for me to find almost 8 years after it was recorded. Collins has the uncanny ability to write poems that seem effortless yet profound simultaneously. He gives people who say they hate poetry access to a catalog of great writing.
he's such a king, i love him
This was great. I just happen to be reading one of his books of poetry at bedtime each night for the last two weeks.
If there's anything trivial in your life, Billy Collins has lionized it in verse that looks, on the page, like poetry. We need all the whimsy and doggerel we can get, but until the poets return, we're doomed.
the one and only!! 💙💕💙
Funny, thought provoking, relatable. Don't need other CZcams videos explaining (or trying to) what his poetry means. He could actually give poetry a good name. Terrific.
Love this!
He's very humorous.
Oh, Billy, Billy, speak it! (reference to 'A Fish Called Wanda')
I had a black cat called Miranda. She never ever climbed in my lap - she just appeared there on a regular basis.
Bravo
There is nothing funnier than Billy the poet, except perhaps Billy the mustache and glasses-wearing Groucho.
hahahaha!
