    Hey bruvs, I finally a new Minecraft history video for you! This is on the history of the Philippines. This was a very highly requested topic, and rightfully so since they have a fascinating history that is usually looked over. This video will cover Philippine history starting from the first human arrivals there, their early civilizations, Spanish and American rule, and their modern era. As for all of my videos, this one took a lot of time to make. Research, building the scenes, recording, and editing the video are a lot of hard work, so I would appreciate it if you remember to like and subscribe. It's free for you and helps me immensely, so thank you :)

    actually in 1521, the spanish failed to conquer the Philippines they then returned in 1565 to defeat the filipinos, its just that in 1521, spain claimed it but then Ferdinand Magellan died in the battle of mactan

    • @bvillafuerte765
      @bvillafuerte765 Před rokem

      They did not succeed because they did not try to conquer those kingdoms since at that time Magalles and Elcano were looking for the route to the Spice Islands, currently known as the Moluccan Islands. What they did was make an alliance with Humabon, the raj of Cebu; which requested them to defeat their rivals after having been baptized. This being the main factor that caused the battle of Mactlán, in which the first one died. Also do not forget that Hernán Cortés in 1527 made a request to his cousin Álvaro de Saavedra Cerón to command an expedition in the Pacific. He accepted it and was given command of two ships and a brigantine, starting from the port of Zihuatanejo on October 31, 1527. Going down to 12 degrees north, they headed west, traveling along the north coast of the island of New Guinea, arriving in Mindanao in the Philippines, to continue towards the Moluccan Islands.

    @auxiliary3784 Před rokem +3

    As a Filipino, I can tell theres multiple errors and stuff
    1. Ferdinand Magellan was killed, because one chieftain named Lapu-Lapu didn't like him well. He was killed at the Battle of Mactan because he couldnt get his ship to get close enough to fire cannons as the shore was rocky, also the heavy armor made them vulnerable cause they didnt protect the legs
    2. The Philippines didnt have any flag yet during the 7 years war, and when you display it vertically, you put the blue on the left to represent peace and red on the left to represent war
    3. Rodrigo Duterte was finally out of power and replaced by Ferdinand Marcos's son
    4. Spanish rule didn't start in 1521, it started in 1560s when Miguel Lopez de Legazpi defeated the tribes
    5. The Ottomans didn't come to the Philippines, it was introduced to Islam by neighboring tribes

    • @bvillafuerte765
      @bvillafuerte765 Před rokem

      1. Actually Magellan was assassinated with part of his crew because he had made an alliance with Humabon, the first asked him and his subjects to convert to Christianity while the second asked him for military assistance to defeat the enemies of him. In addition, since they fought during low tide, they could not make a proper landing since they were far from the coast; causing the ship could not help them during the battle and the crew had to travel hundreds of meters to the place where the enemy was.
      2. The Philippines did have a flag, at that time it was the flag of Spain in the year 1760 since at that time the country was the Spanish captain general.
      3. Let's not forget that he remained in power for several decades due to the support of the US empire, the faction of the national population that supported them and the passivity of the countrymen. In addition, when he was overthrown, he was rescued by the US government by giving him the means, personnel, and vehicles to escape with his family with 413 pieces of jewelry, an ivory statue, a diamond necklace, 24 gold ingots, more than 27 million Philippine pesos in newly printed bills and 15 million dollars.
      4. The Spanish conquest did begin that year passively due to the alliance of some cacicazgos with the Spanish, the introduction of Christianity to the islands and the baptism of some caciques with their subjects. Starting in the 1560s, it began actively due to the arrival of the military in the territory and the alliance with various chiefs of the area to unify the islands. Because it took centuries to complete it and yet several rebellions occurred during the viceroyalty.
      5. Islam was actively introduced in the 14th century by Arab and Malay traders; some of which were Muslims and converted several inhabitants of the area to that religion. In addition, the Ottomans did establish themselves on the islands through their vassal kingdom, the Sultanate of Aceh. Since the founder established it in the year 1496 during the rule of Sultan Bayezid II. In addition, from the year 1520 he managed to establish dominance and conquer several territories with the arrival of soldiers and firearms from the Ottoman Empire, whose ruler at that time was Suleiman I.
