Your videos have been the reason I am learning and getting my 550 built and ready. Thanks man. Really appreciate all your doing!
Hi mate thanks for doing ur vids I got mine bout 3 months ago and learned a lot from ur vids. Was nite flying on the 25 feb and lost control and it flew off. Can't find it nowhere . I'm absolutely gutted. Was guna quit the hobby but I love it to much so guna av to save up for another.
Same goes for me, live a few miles from Parkgate where I see from your video's you fly regulally. F550 getting ordered on Thursday so hoping for some better weather!
Yet another great vid mate. Loving your work!!
Thanks Chris :) makes me happy to hear.
I done a quick test today with a GoPro and the video seemed a lot clearer than on the phantom.
thanks mate, it flys very smooth, i can't wait for the summer :)
Thanks mate :) glad its flying now, thank you for the help.
Great Video,cheers Richard
thanks mate, yeah its pretty simple isnt it :) i'm very happy with it
Thanks for the build videos! I have the Phantom as well but am wanting a hexacopter now. This would be my first build as well. Although I really like the look of the Xaircraft hexa frame, it might be a smarter move to build a f550 first to get an understanding of how it all works.
Top job, it looks simpler than the Headwind B in building at the moment. Well, more space for the radio gear anyhow
Another great informative video
happy flying :-)
very helpful video, thanks
that thing looks like it would be a lot of fun, thumbs up buddy
WoW you did a great job. If I got one, I would know what to do. Thumbs up. Cheers.
hi david, the F550 is a beast, but the phantom is good for a beginner as it fly a little longer and you get RTF cheaper. if you get one let me know when youre on the wirral and we could have a fly.
Nice, great vid, thanks.
I make a bookmark for the day I buy it I have to watch it again and gain and.....;-)
I like it alot
thanks mate, it was fun to build. :)
it will be the same range, I test flew it today for 11mins, it was great. yes I will be using a gopro, I'm just waiting for DJI to bring out thr mini gopro zenmuse gimbal.
thank you mate :)
thanks mate :)
I have noticed that myself but I have not had any problems (so far) atleast I know I'm not the only one.
You my good man are a legend, if you lived closer I would nosh you off
Congratulations!!!! :P
hi m8 i will be looking forward to the rest of the f550 build ,i am a complete noob but i find the fpv flying very intresting im considering buying the f550 kit with the naza as the misses says i need a hobby lol, ps i visit the wirral from time to time il keep an eye out for you now . great vids
Thanks again! I like it alohh lol ;) one question... how did u fit the FC and transmitter box? Superglue?
yeah I was stress testing my props a lot during my garden flights. I will be getting some wooden zingers as the price of graupners has gone through the roof.
Hi, i see that in your other video where you show how to use the tarot 2D gimbal your using a spektrum dx8 controller, would you be able to tell me how you connect your receiver to your naza and what you do when programming the transmitter? it would be really cool if you could make a video to show this as there isn't a comprehensive video that shows how to do this.
Thanks
Hi there thanks for all your videos on the t8j saved me loads of time I have just finished my first build tbs discovery can I ask when you are in the air and you use switch d ( fail safe ) and it comes back to you then you take it out of fail safe when it is still in the air should the led flash red all the time until you land then reset many thanks John
Hi, I found your videos a great help when building my F550.
First proving flight worked well. Fully loaded with gimbal and gopro, which battery would you recommend?
Can only get 5mins with a 5000 3s, how about a 7500 3s?
Or should I go up to a 4s maybe?
Thanks.
I have used your vid to build my f550 which has gone great I have only one problem with the naza because it won't connect to my rx1002 Devo 10 reciver. Any suggestions.
Hello, and awesome video! I am building my F550 now, waiting on NAZA, if I may ask a couple of questions please, first, how has your NAZA V2 behaved so far, any scary incidents? second, I am using an older futaba 9C, was 72Mhz,now converted to spektrum DSM2, regarding the RTH failsafe, I'm aware that programming failsafe via switch selection is straight forward, but I hear that programming RTH via turning off radio can be a pain, heard it was a tricky procedure, thank you, and again great video, very helpful!
thanks Magnus, yes I copied it over, just had to change a few things on this assistant :)
Great video, thanks!
The link for the landing gear does not work any more. Could you post a new one? Thank you very much!
Tks, tks, tks...
hi , love all your videos mate , very helpful , I have a TBS discovery , and am now waiting for the delivery of my tarot t810 , and on one of your vids I was watching today I saw you say there has been a problem with the zemuse , and I was about to order the naza v2 with gps and a zemuse gimbal for £405 witch is a great price , is there any advice you can give me ? scott
Great vid again. Did you copy the Phantom settings in the 8j to a new modell before binding the rx?
Hello , I have a question .
how do I install the futaba t8j on a controller dji A2 ?
I would appreciate your response
Hi I have been following your build and have built one myself. As I am new to this hobby I have one major problem. I have purchased a Turnigy 9x Transmitter with a Turnigy 9x8Cv2 Receiver. I seem to have calibrated it as such but I can't seem to get it out of failsafe mode and MC shows as off. I have spent a lot of hours trying to figure this out but can't seem to be getting anywhere. Can you help!!!!!!!!!!!
Good build. Doesn't each ESC have to have it throttle calibrated ?
you can swap ANY at all mate
Just got my F550 and am using your video for the build. You say if one of the motors is spinning the wrong way, to simply switch around two of the cables on the ESC. Does it matter which two cables? I see each input on the ESC are labeled with "U" "V" and "W"?
looking good does that have more range than the phantom ?
like the look of the F550 looks more pro will you be using the gopro on that ?
Hi guy, Thank you for your vids they are helpfull. But i have a question and might interests others too, i was looking for a switch to fix it on my hex, i just need a switch to cut the line and neutral off/on when need so i do not need to remove the battrey from my hex power line connection. So do you suggest any particular switch pls ? Thank you in advance
I don't remember you doing a throttle calibration for the esc. Is this not ALWAYS needed when installing new esc's?
Hi, great video. I'm hoping to buy either the f550 or phantom next week. Have you found the f550 to be more stable when doing AP. Otherwise would you suggest either over the other? Thanks
where i can find good batteries for dji f550 ?? i need the battery model. :\
can i use ppm receiver for dji f550 ?
Hi, One other thing, are you using the stock props that came with your F550, if so bin them! DJI released a new prop 1038 to replace the 1045's which are stronger and a little stiffer...so they say. Failing that I'd suggest some Graupner e-props which seem to be the most popular/ reliable with multirotors, You'll have to use a spring or star washer and some thread lock to lock it down, Cheers.
i did,nt no the phantom flew for longer as im loking at fpv i would need as much time in the air as posable do you have any ideas on what would be best, it can be any configaration ie battery, frame, motors, iv heard people say you can get 20-25 mins any pointers i would be greatful for cul8r
Hi m8 what lipos you going to use
just some turnigy 5000mAh 4S. I need some higher C rated tho.
Everyone? Yes that could happen some day. Professor Simon Wright ;-)
Hi, I wanted to ask if you've experienced any problems with your Naza connected via S-BUS? I have a F450 with a T8J, same receiver as yourself, but when I wired it up using the S-BUS, I found that after I set everything up in assistant software, the mode slider would jump randomly from GPS - Atti- Man for a split second. I emailed DJI a couple of weeks ago, no reply. But a reply from OnlyFlyingMachines said they've seen this to and they don't use S-BUS connection, have you had any problems?
hmmm I don't think that is normal, a fast flashing RED LED means stage 1 of the battery fail safe is on. so you might of had a low battery OR a battery with a too low C rating?.
hahaha I hope you di get one, everyone should have one lol
yeh I wanted to try but from what I saw of video footage after installing it made jello worse.
No you don't have to calibrate the dji ESC's :) thanks
Does the kit come with a controller
