- As far as football tricks go, this is one of the simplest but when used effectively, it's almost impossible to stop.

Nwankwo Kanu's Signature Feint aka The Scoop Turn and it's variations.
Nwankwo 'Papilo' Kanu is a Nigerian former professional footballer who played as a forward. He was a member of the Nigeria national team, and played for Nigerian team Iwuanyanwu Nationale, Dutch side Ajax, Inter Milan of Italy, and English clubs Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion and Portsmouth.
Kanu won a UEFA Champions League medal, a UEFA Cup medal, three FA Cup medals and two African Player of the Year awards amongst others. He is one of few players to have won the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, UEFA Cup and an Olympic Gold Medal. - Sport
This famous Kanu's dribble could result to a penalty when the defender refused to give way. This explains why many times his clubs and national team were privileged with penalties when they needed an equalizer or a victory in a tense game.
With the simple trick, Nigeria enjoyed a lot of penalties. Even when all hope seem lost, this legend will just manufacture one penalty with this trick for us. God bless you Legend.
As simple as this move looks. Kanu made it an effective move capable of destroying any defender and keeper
That’s Romário’s masterpiece.
Indeed 👌
My man had giraffe-long legs. Once he was gone, he was gone 😄
Wow really. That's the first thing i think of. When i think of composure in the box. I think Nwanko Kanu
it's like romario feint
he was incredible at this skill, insane technical ability
lol... they all almost knew he was gonna do it but ALWAYS fell for it. Simple and magical skill
Romario had this trick on lock too.
It's called " 180 DRAG " in PES 2013.
Kanu was a master ball craftsman. A real artist.
But he couldn’t finnish
I had the privilege to watch both Jay Jay and Kanu in their respective clubs during the 90s down to the early 2000s , to be sincere Kanu was far better than Jay Jay. This his famous " c turn " dribble could destroy 2 or more defenders at once while Okocha's famous step over was meant just for 1 defender. At times Okocha would confuse himself and his team mates with his famous step overs . Looked at the way Kanu dribbled 2 Brazilian defenders without any effort in Atlanta 96 and scored , that was pure magic. I am one of those rear individuals who strongly believe Kanu was better than Okocha .
You aren't that rare. We hype J.J. it doesn't mean we don't know Kanu is arguably Nigeria's best player ever.
JayJay will always be the most loved one, because of the very special entertaining factor, truly unique, one can't just help but love him and hype him; but I think everybody knows that Kanu was the greater player, one has just to look at the career, after all. Gotta love them both though, I would do anything go back and watch again a game where JJ and Kanu are both involved.
Kanu better than Jay Jay? Where? In clubs or national team?
If you talk about as a complete footballer, yes. But with respect to just raw dribbling talent Jay Jay and kanu don't belong in the same stratosphere. Jay Jay was just too talented. His football acumen and decision making where subpar however. Kanu had a better more holistic understanding of the game and his field vision was better than Okocha. Okocha in his later years closed those gaps in his game however.
@@schompificationJayJay was more fun to watch but Kanu was the better footballer.
This is the value of being focused on one detail papillo the great
Kanu was greatness; to quote an often quoted and dare I say very, very overrated individual, Bruce Lee: "I dont fear the man who practices a thousand kicks but I fear the man who practices one kick a thousand times."
This was Kanu's 'one kick' and man could he do it exceptionally well!
The first thing I thought of when I thought of Kanu. Was why is he so composed inside the box. He seemed to have all the time in the world
He's a well-grounded talent that developed properly that's why.
You dug deep to get this one. Remember when he came to Arsenal in 99... he was always leaving fans in shock.
the infamous kanu drag
as famous saying goes
i fear not the man who has 1000 moves
but the man who practiced 1 move 1000 times
This trick + good weak foot is enough to destroy defenders and GK
Exclusive kanu no one in recent years has this magic
He Reminds Me Of Dimitar Barbatov of Man United In the Early 2000’s Just A Little Taller But thier playing style is Similar as you can’t ever dispossess them off the ball
King papi-lo 🤴 👑 🦁
Papilo❤❤❤
King Kanu 4!
As a kid I used to think he was a DM because he had the number 4 for Nigeria 😆
got the whole defence breakdancing!
To think he played with a heart condition ❤❤❤❤ man was out of this world 😢
who is he, i have not heard of him
@@nofurtherwest3474 kanu nwakwo aka papilo check him out Olympic medalist African cup winner 🏆 champions League winner
Because you are still a child. He is a Nigerian football wizard who played for many top European teams. Two times African Footballer of the Year @@nofurtherwest3474
@@nofurtherwest3474 Kanu was born with a congenital heart defect, which impeded his aortic valve from closing properly; it was discovered and operated on in 1996
Ah yes, the scoop turn
Legend has it he's still 38
Kanu méritait une plus grande carrière ❤️❤️❤️💪💪💪🇸🇳🇸🇳🇸🇳
The dribble is so effective that it can take away two defenders
No matter how many times he did it, defenders always fell for it.😆😆😆
0:16 Oh wow i wasnt aware of a Africa vs The World match charity match, they did a lot of those back then
yeah, that one was to raise funds for the Kanu Heart Foundation
Sir could you please make a video about Fode Mansare. He was an amazing dribbler. You probably recognize him. He's a Guinean. He played for Montpellier. He played amazingly, I especially remember the matches against Psg .Sir, please consider this topic. Fode Mansare often did very similar feints to Nwankwo Kanu. You made one video dedicated to this feint movement. I admire your work, Sir. Regards.
I can't promise I'll make a video about him because there's very little available on him online. I did see that wonder goal against PSG though.
would be great, Sir. As far as possible. thank you for your attention. Today, I actually don't see players comparable to those you present. they played with courage and they were artists. Thank you for your work Sir. It's amazing to see these players at their best.
Good for people with long legs
Please do Thierry Henry's trademark move, where he slows down and then knocks the ball past the opponent to beat them with pace.
Hi Joshua, it's unlikely I'll do that as I'm not really interested in Thierry Henry. You can check out Souster's channel though. He has a lot of rare Henry clips.
I think Kano would have been a more complete player if he converted half the chances he created
His goal scoring ratio for Nigeria is poor but his skills are exemplary
This trick was invented by Romario
Didn't know Kanu Nwankwo was pacy.
How I wish one of the present super eagles squad can see this clips
Shocking, almost no goals from that.
Abeg, what was he tryna do @2:24?😅
◻️❌
Kanu is Top 3 dribblers for someone his size. Absolutely ridiculous technique.
Then we use to say . Kanu draw C 😂
exactly, I know it as 'C' but the internet calls it the scoop turn.
In Trinidad and Tobago, we call it a drags
@@YTHDRT yeah, "Kanu: The Drag King" was actually one of the titles that crossed my mind😄
Alright, nice...I think in the end you made the right choice with the final title though 👍
He was better than Okocha.....facts
😂
Bro is talking American football
In fc mobile :the fake shot ladies and gentlemen 😂
Too bad he couldnt score simple goals like darwin nunez right now
You need long legs
not necessarily, although it's more effective with long legs. Here's Jay-Jay Okocha doing the same trick: czcams.com/video/2LEQzqx_SAc/video.html
Simple trick? Simple? If you think that this is a simple trick then obviously you have never played football.
I remember he said, was taught in Ajax not be under tension within the opponet 18 yard box. Kanu Nwakwo the great. Igbo to the world.❤
Papilo❤❤❤
