The Kumawood is Kumasi movie industry. They're LOCALS and they're more popular in Ghana than the Ghallywood stars because over 90% of the Kumawood actors and actresses cannot speak English.
The Ghallywood stars speak good English but the Kumawood stars cannot speak English so that's the difference.
Some of the Ghallywood stars are more popular outside Ghana because of Nollywood but they're not that popular in Ghana because most Ghanaians like to watch the Kumawood movies more than the Ghallywood movies because the Kumawood actors use the local language.

You tried, but the main issue which is the last straw that broke the Camel's back that you didn't mention was that, they started taxing Nigerian producers heavily, each time they went to Ghana for production. Their reason being that the presence of Nigerian film makers in Ghana was not helping their industry. Because of that dirty move, Nigerian producers avoided Ghana completely and their industry became a history.
They felt they could do without Nigeria. Some of the stakeholders in their music industry are equally making the mistake currently. The honest truth is that Nigeria is the entertainment powerhouse of Africa; if you think you can do without them and go global, it will be to your own detriment.

My sister the truth is without Nigeria Ghana has no industry even those big names u are mentioning was discovered by Nigeria directors and producers when they were no body then so Ghana movie started making waive and Ghanaians started feeling jealous that Nigerians are making money in their country so they dey did a meeting and put a law then that any Nigerian movie director must pay some of $100, 000 cash down before shooting a movie and they were serious about it that was when those directors now took those guys to Nigeria and made them celeb with Nollywood all of them those big names in Ghana was discovered by Nigerians.... since then till now how far Ghana movie? Is totally dead because they are not creative even most of those good ones u are talking about are shoot by Nigeria directors for them but in their music industry recently their no1 artiste in gh shatta wale have been called out by his video director who have been shooting most of his hit songs from the one, that he has not been playing him for most of the videos,, a Nigerian. You made some valid points. Nigeria's movie industry has come of age. The cinema culture in Nigeria is a game changer, coupled with the fact that the likes of Netflix and Prime Video now see Nigeria as a gold mine for authentic African stories at a fraction of the price compared to the Western world. Nigerians have cracked the code for quality cinematic movie making - these movies cost 100 of millions of Naira. Producers are now able to make their money back - thanks to quality cinematic production, plus Netflix and Prime handsome Payday for these movies after cinema show or directly to these streaming platforms.

Just discovered your CZcams channel after feeding so much on your contents on Facebook.
The issue here is that the bitterness of Ghanaians over the success of Nigeria in the entertainment industry. When Nigeria was collaborating with Ghana in film production, their actors got exposure with the huge Nigerian market.
When some Nigerian producers tried making movies from their shores due to the availability of electricity, they became greedy and started charging expensive dues which infuriated them and left them to build their Ghanawood themselves which they are reaping from.
The day Ghana accept that Nigeria is better than them in creativity, things will be okay for them.

There is enough good quality movies to pick from than to go to a mid produced movie which even cannot be transparent with its data.
