When I got mine, I got him as a tank mate for my blue crawfish, as they keep then together in the store I got them. Within the hour I had to move him to my other tank lol. He then grew up with tetras and two turtles. Now fully grown and he still gets along with them just fine!
The blue one with the yellow stripe is unbelievable stunning..
They're ridiculously gorgeous & fun to watch ! I devoted a tank just for the OB peacocks 🤞for some babies in the future

@@nikkikennedy8728 unfortunately not 😔 I had 1 male for 4 females & the male was just overly aggressive & killed one of my females so I had to take the rest of ladies out before he massacred them all
@@evelinastogowski6659 OMG I'm sorry 😟 Poor fish. I'm glad you were able to separate the rest of them. We have a male and one female and had to separate them too. The male chased her around constantly, he likely would have chased the poor thing to death. We put her in the other tank with our tiger barbs and she's so much happier now.

I have a OB peacock with one tiger Oscar and 2 golden mbuna’s one is yellow and one is blue they all get along perfect

OB’s are fine to be kept with normal Haps and Peacocks. And there 1/2 Peacock 1/2 Mbuna

not sure if you can help but my breeding pair of jade eye cichlids arent doing well .. when ever anyone walks pass the tank or even moves in the same room they go crazy to a point where they bang off the glass until they are near unconcious then 10 minutes later they are ok again .. i was wondering if they could have been kept in a shed or a room where no people go with them being used for breeding so they arent used to people .. what do you think and do you think they will be ok thank you in advance for any help you can give

I keep water sprite floating in my cichlid tank for them to hide in but now I also want to try the pvc method. And see which one my strawberry chooses as she seems to get stressed the easiest and runs for the plants at the top when my o.b. chases her.

Drill 2 holes in a pvc pipe and add suction cups. If anyone cant figure out how to make one WoW. Other than that great vid.
Honestly I don't understand which one is african cichlid, which one is cichlid, which one is texas cichlid, which one is peacock cichlid, which one is merican cichlid.... Uhh I'm really fed-up with cichlid... Could you explain me more detail's please. Which kind of fish I can put together?
I know sunfish and cichlids are far apart but are people aware sunfish hybrids are natural. I think hybrids are ok and I like them. They bring a added variety to the fish community.

Man I have a small peacock and he just kills everything I put in with him! My fish guy personally got another peacock to bigger than him and he just doesn’t care he will attack it! Like relentless chasing in the tank until he gets a bite of the other fish until they can’t take it anymore! Now the asshole has whole mansion to himself 55 gallon for an inch of fish!
I know throw comment is a year old, but the reason why is probably because it was just that one. If you had packed them in, even say five or six or more, it would spread the aggression out and they would be fine.
Ask Obi wan Kenobi for searching the truth about OB peacock behaviour..may force with you brother..
