Quarentine has been rough for me so when i play T.Cain i just did a four hour long run and beat every boss in the game but no the Beast due to the Mega Satan fight. It was exahusting but i dont regret nothing, was a very cool experience.

Same bro, there was a mod called runs continue past mother that I would use. I’d start with Alt till I got to mom, do boss rush, go the normal path to hush, then go to the dark room, victory lap, go to mother, from there to blue baby, then to mega stan, pray for delirium, then I’d usually just console in an R key and give back my active, then do beast
I thought up a custom mod which I called full house run, never made it cause I don’t know programming and I’m too lazy, it’s too long to explain here tho

I remember doing the same thing (except I got the Mega Satan coin flip) and by the time I got to Home I was so exhausted I just left the room and came back when I heard the ending playing

There are two types of tainted Cain runs:
Type A (without recipes) : ugh I keep getting shitty items, whatever I'll just play a different character today..
Type B (with recipes) : *crafts OP item in the 4th room of the run and beats all bosses, gets 6 completion marks, and like 4 R keys*

I play on switch and am too lazy to look recipes up
Type C: *keeps getting godly items that would be a free win with every other character but you can't pick them up*

The first and only time I played tainted Cain I managed to beat every boss using like 4 R keys and it took me like 3 hours and after that I felt hollow
Tainted Cain is the worst character, not becauss it's weak or something, it's just so much long and boring
I've recently played T. Cain for the first time and decided to farm R keys and try to get every completion mark in a single run. It took me about 6 hours because I used recipes from the platinumgod site, which isn't 100% correct as of the latest patch, so that was fun :) But I lucked out, I got strange key for Hush, managed to get one recipe working for mama mega for boss rush and after Mega Satan I got the void portal to spawn, so I could do Beast at the end ^^

Have you tried the GoodTrip mod yet? It’s essentially fast-travel so you don’t have to waste time running around the floor
That defeats the purpose of playing a dungeon crawler
@@king_nubert4381 except it only lets you enter rooms you already visited/cleared, which is fully unnecessary to waste time walking and doing literally nothing
@@king_nubert4381 It only allows u to travel to floors you've already cleared. I do see how some would view it as cheating, though I use it. I don't use it if I don't have the boss rush and Hush check marks for that character, because it doesn't keep track of time and that actually feels like cheating to me then.
EDIT: Also it'll hurt u if u try to use it to escape curse rooms, and it doesn't work at all with curse of the lost

Death certificate is actually craftable with the 8 bone heart hard coded recipe, even if it's not unlocked.
If the Crafting bag makes an item you don’t have unlocked the result is a random item
@@cyanideytcuriousseadoggo unless the recipe is hard coded, like 8 coins is portable slot or 8 hearts is yum heart. 8 bone hearts is death certificate whether you've unlocked it or not.
@@theboif they are fixed recipes that don’t change between runs but the random replacement rule is still in effect in case they aren’t unlocked
my saving grace for t cain boss rush and hush was crafting (without the mod) tear detonator and haemolacria, and that combo carried me through the entire run. so, yeah, just get lucky
I *wish* I could use the external information mod. It would make TCain so much more easy and fun.
But this was a good run, very fun to watch. 👍
The Platinum God website has a feature where you can type your seed and it will show you the recipes for your current run :) it's not quite as convenient as the EID mod but it's still very helpful

I would just like to tell everyone how I threw a run that I ended up winning. I was playing Maggie and I found a sacrifice room on the starting room. I went in and got the money the part where you are teleported, got teleported to the angle room and sacred heart was in it, but it was the angle room that needs keys. I still won the run with a dark Judas run on floor 3 but I was upset. Thanks for listening to my Ted talk.

I have a love/hate relationship with T Cain :D I love that you can craft everything. But for me it leads to things like my 11(!!) hour run, with trying everything to get the best items and almost every completion mark xD (i didn't had the mod that let's u continue a run past mother and also forgot, that there are other ways to open the "flesh door" than just the knive xD so i was too scared to get the second knive piece xD)
PS: it took me 11 hours cuz i first made the not so clever move, of crafting Libra on the first floor (the wiki said it's a good way to be able to craft multiple smaller stat up items and still get everything better. But it was so anoying at some point :D) . And i also have to still look up so many Items because i dont know what exactly they do etc. :D

yep, the recipies used to be fixed for all runs, but not anymore
I beat all of tainted cain (besides greed obv) in one run a while back (without EID enabled) it was miserable and took hours but it was nice to basically skip an entire characters unlocks
for t cain i did all of his marks in like a 3-4 hour run... i just crafted actives over and over in the secret room for bone h earts. you can reset the first floor for a library and get a ton of consumables, bomb the machine, and full clear. you'll be able to get an OP build on just the first floor if you full clear before bagging anything. i cant imagine playing him without recipes, especially for hush and boss rush.

You could only craft c section technology pop! and ipecac with host hat. If you didn’t knew first three items in the combo are creating infinite duplicating fetus. And ipecac was just for damage.
We now need a mod where TCain is steve

the slot machine secret room trick shown in this video is really good, gives you much higher average chance for powerful stuff

My very first T Cain run I got Daemons Tail in the first room and crafted Birthright as my first item. Did this on Switch version before recipes were found for it so I was literally playing blind. Ended up clearing 9 marks in that run cause I found r key recipe in Dark Room and got lucky with Delirium portal. Thought to myself "this is easy, I should be able to blow through this on all three files bo problem!".
Uhhh, yeah I was sadly mistaken. T Cain is just SOOO time consuming and I dreaded getting those marks. At least the last file I was able to use the recipe generator so it wasn't that bad but still took up about 3 hours to do one run.
I don’t have tainted Cain yet, but I thought since the changes you’re not supposed to know what he can craft because it’s somewhat randomized each run. Are they not, and this is just like external descriptions being really helpful-or is this some other mod to make tainted Cain easier?
yeah you're not supposed to be able to see the crafting recipes, but External descriptions shows them to you. I personally disable the mod whenever I play T.Cain because it ruins the fun imo

Yo get the good trip mod, it let's you teleport to any previous rooms you've visited via the mini map. Super useful on tainted cain.

I have to agree in this issue, at least in my opinion. Edmund made most of the recipes randomized in order not to use exploits so often and with EID mod you've got them once again.
I know that I made all the unlocks way harder on my own, but I firmly believe it's the way which was intended ^^
Using the external item descriptions mod to show the recipes for Tainted Cain is basically cheating. The game developers' entire purpose of making the crafts randomized for each seed was to make it more difficult for players to cheese Tainted Cain. By using the external item descriptions mod, you eliminate one of the main aspects of Tainted Cain.
I mean, I agree to an extent, but it's not really hurting anything if they've already bought the game and using it to make a video.

I intentionally don't use the crafting recipe from EID as that takes the fun out of playing TCain for me. Just randomly throwing consumables together and working with what that gives me is more my playstyle with him
