I would have opted for r15 v3 international version if it was launched. As I wanted an option which is budget friendly and speced with good features at the same time.

Well I've r15 v2.
Pros:
1: Splendid looks.
2: Ride quality is very comfortable.
3: The acceleration is very smooth.
4 : It's very agile.
5: Very high build quality.
Cons
1: Park it when u get stuck in traffic.
2: Pillion specially girls will always have their heart in their mouth when they sit behind you.
3: Keep exercising you upper body when you stop on a red light.
4: Speed breakers are like nightmares.
If I had a option of buying a bike again I would go for commando UM which offers something new. Back then there were very options.
Rohit Marathe build quality is not good. Cheap plastic has been used for these motorcycle. Vibration issues are there.

Most of the RS200 fanboys don't even own an RS200 and say RS200 iS A bEaSt, V3 iS sHiT.
A real biker appreciates all bikes. Even if a Classic 100 exists, any biker won't hate it unnecessary.

Overpriced??? I'm not an Yamaha fanatic,I'm own a CBR 250R. Why are you all targeting Yamaha? What would have you said, once upon a time when CBR 150R was priced around 1.45lakhs which was around 10k higher than R15 V2 .Gixxer sf comes with single channel abs which is around 1.20lakhs. The bike has no liquid cooled,not even oil cooled,lack of 6th gear , less power etc... I too agree with lack of ABS in V3. Just think of KTM duke & RC 200 doesn't have ABS priced around 1.65 lakh and 1.95 lakh which is 45cc higher and have USD forks and 6 bhp higher than V3. I'm not degrading other manufacturers. But just don't point out Yamaha as it is over priced.

It's really surprising to see people here leave out the closest competition to the R15 apart from the RS200 - TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0!
The top-spec variant (Carburetted + ABS + Pirelli) is similar priced as the R15.It competes very well and beats it in some areas too.RTR 200.The RTR 200 has a simpler (Carbed,Oil cooled) 200cc engine,compared to the highly stressed and high-tech 155cc engine from Yamaha,We have to appreciate Yamaha for making a brilliant 155cc engine making 19hp which is simply amazing.We have to consider the practicality too - From a maintenance standpoint,Most Mechanics still struggle to work with Fuel Injection-based bikes with their ECU,Let alone stuff like Variable Valve Timing/Lift.A Carburetor is much simpler to work with and can be a boon if you are out on the highways and if your bike stops due to a fuelling issue,Any roadside mechanic can fix a Carburetted setup.Also the RTR is a little faster than the R15 (But the R15 has better Top-end due to 6th Gear).The RTR comes with life saving Dual Channel ABS whereas the R15 doesn't.The RTR is more comfortable to ride in cities and highways,as it isn't as aggressive as the R15 but at the same time,a fantastic track tool! Just as refined and has a beautiful bassy exhaust note.Comes with Slipper Clutch which is light so it helps in City Traffic.
Also an Indian Product is able to compete and beat a Japanese at some places is something that we,as Indians must be very proud of.
R15 is a fantastic machine 😘 i love it. As I have ridden my Friend's old R15 V1. It has one of the best 150CC engine and one of the best shifting Gearboxes that YAMAHA makes. So, it's for Yamaha only, YES YAMAHA!!
yeah i agree, R15 is fascinating when we talking about design, in here we got VVA and upside down fork, very clever, but when we talking about speed, suzuki gsx r 150 is the best performed bike, it's semi racing bike

And i also think that yamaha has priced it in such a way so that they can convince the buyers to go for "fazer" but not for r15 v3
The biggest con is its aggressive seating position. You will feel the pain after riding about 15 odd kms. Hence touring on this motorcycle is a long distant dream
Honest Talker don't mind me but when it's clearly a track oriented bike, why would you have the bright idea of touring on it? A track bike doesn't owe it to you to be a tourer.
I Own this bike and it grows with you, I hated it initially. But now I do 200+ KMS a day easily. Yes it hurts back and wrist little, its only for some 30-45 mins after the ride

Unlike bajaj bikes, Yamaha r15 doesn't hide the fact that it's a 155cc performance bike with aggressive posture. Bajaj bikes and tvs all are designed to be a bit of everything. That's the reason no matter how many say hati mat palo RE sales have increased 25% first quarter of 2018 and dominar had week sales throughout its runtime. Lol. Indian companies should provide bikes with respect to category not putting everything into one and say it's a part cruiser, part racer and part city rider bullshit.
I own this machine and am loving it man. Ofcourse you cannot take it for a long route , for short rides its great. The Suspension is a bit stiffer. Pillion wont be happy after an hour. Once you get used to the position, it wont be any real problem. This machine loves curves man, great feedback. This is the bike for Beginers (focusing on riding fast with very good control). Lacks in braking but good enough for everyday use. ENGINE IS GREAT! Also headlights arent that illuminating
, cant speed over 60-70kmph.
and guys RS 200 is a better option because of more power, and better riding position. FZ25 has too many issues at present. I would anyday select R15 over any other sub200cc bike. :)

Superb millege on my v3. I get 53.5 km per ltr and 52 in min speed. I tested it with only 5 th gear and speed 60-75 around 6thrpm. And lowest speed on 4th gear at 50km/h at 5rpm. As my bike new under running period.

The R15 V1 lacks with the LED tail lights and a more advanced meter console. In terms of performance, it can be matched with the version 2 and 3.0 with an ECU upgrade to take it to the 12k rpm mark.

I have v2 and I like it because it is a very good head turner in terms of design but its radiator produces so much heat that it burns my leg.
i was big fan of r15, i arranged money n took it n took vip no.
but after few months i was getting furstated from it... bcoz of setting position and low power.
i sold my r15 v2 after 10 months just 4200km
it really dispointed me...
r15 should increase power of it and seats
