I just noticed the Japanese word for Western headband is Kachyuushya, refer to Катюша or Katyusha, the shortened version of Katherine. Apparently this was due to a popular stage play version of Tolstoy "The Awakening" or "Resurrection", in which the actor that played the aforementioned character wore a Western headband, which led to the character's name being associated with the headwear. Thus, the version of "Mikey" for Michael in Russians became pretty confusing in context:
