DGG gave away his game plan when he said he based this last film on three 80's genre movies: Christine, My Body Guard and Butcher, Baker, Nightmare maker. If you watch these as a Halloween Fan, you will fit all the scenarios from these films into Halloween Ends. The later film Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker is a teller! Watch that one for the JLC and Allyson aspect of Ends. You can see the "Corey Cunningham" character in all three of these films.

Corey is the second killer. He accidently killed the boy he was babysitting, and he has an encounter with Michael that leads Corey looking into Michael's eyes and a transformation happen that's very much like Jaimie touching Michael's hand in Halloween 4 and then she becomes infected by the evil that infected Michael. Also, Halloween Ends does have a definitive ending that leads no open ending so the only way for more Halloween films is another reboot.
Thank you so much for the breakdown!!! It definitely clarifies things. Yes, I've heard about the "passing" of the evil so to speak, and it definitely does give me Jamie in Halloween 4 vibes. It does make sense, but it's just odd to do this with such a...random character. It made more sense in Halloween 4 because she was his niece and he was always seeking out his family...which I always loved about the franchise, which is why I am struggling with this trilogy. Having said that, it sounds interesting, I just hope that it is well executed and that 'Ends' ends up being the best installment of this trilogy. Looking forward to seeing it! I don’t think this trailer dialogue is gonna be in the movie. I think Curtis went back to voice over some words for this trailer. Just like some of the promo shots are specifically shot for those magazine shoots.

After watching Ends this is my opinion: Ends should've been a Halloween spinoff than an ending to a trilogy. I had fun with it and Rohnan Campbell is really great as Corey. If you don't take it too seriously you might enjoy it as a weird film that has ten minutes of Michael Myers. Honestly, I prefer Corey than Michael in Ends.
I agree 100%!!! I went in with zero expectations (honestly, expecting to be disappointed) and I was beyond pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Corey's character, his trauma and his relationship with Allyson. The score and cinematography were both incredible. Was it a typical Halloween movie? Not at all; a spinoff sounds more like it. Having said that, I'm thinking they could have combined all three films, the best parts of each, and made it one epic film that we all would have enjoyed, instead of dragging it out and giving us pointless filler and bad dialogue that we never needed. Instead of Allyson having that useless boyfriend in 2018 and Kills, it should have been Corey all along. There were just so many better ways to execute this concept and this final chapter, but nevertheless, I actually really enjoyed it and it is my favorite among the three. Planning on shooting a review shortly! Thank you so much for your feedback on Ends! I'm glad that I'm not the only one who actually ended up liking Corey more than Michael in this film.

I know he lived under the Myers' house, I believe I said that during my discussion. The sewer just looks similar aesthetically and it's still underground. Very deep blue colorgrading. Resurrection vibes all day.
I am not feeling this movie at all they have given away a lot in the trailers. Also when can we get a new Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th Hulu ?
Yes, we will see...but a copycat killer will end this trilogy, and potentially this franchise, with a storyline that has nothing at all to do with the core being of it all: Michael Myers. Michael Myers, an unstoppable, supernatural force of evil. No one cares about a copycat killer, especially if said copycat killer (potentially) kills Michael and all we get is Corey for the remainder of the film... It renders everything pointless and is a slap in the face to true fans. Just my opinion.
