@@imjustheremeh7166 I went to an Olive Garden recently and noticed the environment to be more high pressure for no good reason. The menu prices don’t match the experience you’re supposed to put out. I’m sorry you had to make that part of your life. Hope you’re feeling better
Ended my few weeks there this week, just a hot mess and high stress environment, not to mention the heat. Found a better job with Adecco that I've been with since 2018. The benefits are nice, will be transferring the main parts to my new job that also offers them, least I got something out of it but god dam.
i just quit working at olive garden as well being a busser and still being in school and having 2-3 years left of it, they really didn’t care (even calling me during school hours telling me the needed me to come in). they also thought since it was summer time they could schedule me more which i didn’t like. i was part time and made it clear which times i would only work. most of the servers at my olive garden weren’t helpful either, they wouldn’t prebuss their tables, make me clean a table with everything still on it just how the guests had left it. it happened often and i was basically being shitted on and having to work with terrible people who didn’t care for me, yet i did the most for them. (cleaning their floors and making teas, lemonades, etc). on my last day my closest workers did say good bye to me but the other servers and workers i tried to say bye to shrugged me off, and the managers didn’t care and made my last day the worst. so i didn’t show up to my last shift which was a nighttime one. it was horrible working their and i couldn’t do it. i would never recommend it to someone.
I worked at Texas Roadhouse for 3 months and I couldn’t last. The money was decent minimum wage ,but made around 180$ per week on tips which helped. The servers were dickheads and wouldn’t pre buss tables nor talk to me. The coworkers weren’t really nice either and I wanted to be a server for the money. No restaurant will hire me as a server w out experience and I needa work myself up. Thinking of quitting restaurants feel like they aren’t worth it and they kept giving me 6 days but lowering my hours so I wouldn’t get overtime or last 40 which is something that pissed me off a lot as well.
I've worked retail for over the last 6 years, I was promoted twice and worked 4 of those 6 years in management. And after those 6 years I can say I'm tired of retail. So I figured I'd try something new like working as a server or at a restaurant and from the multiple videos I've watched from people, it sounds like it sucks working at a restaurant. Sooo yeah, back to square one I guess 😑
I worked at the Olive Garden years ago. It was one of my first serving jobs. It was a nightmare. I am now a cocktail server in a casino and we are actually union employees so they have to treat you right and can't get away with messing with your schedule. Actually at my job the girls yell at the managers and get away with it all the time(not me though) but ive been there for 8 years now and its because we are part of a union. It changes everything
I am so fed up working at My job. It's been a long seven years at this job in retail. I am so burnt out. It's depressing. All I keep doing in between customers is looking at my watch.
Having worked at olive garden I was at first surprised at the amount they were paying server's/waiteress. Each of them mentioned 3 bucks an hour, with tips that are between 20 to 30 something tops over an 8 hours or more period, just insanity!
thats cus people notice what youre doing, nobodys gonna tip you if you dont fuccin move!! You gotta move!! I got tipped more as a busser than most servers cus nobody cares about a fat slob that talks to much and tries to hard to be friendly! stfu and give me my food as fast as possible...
It’s their loss. You are pretty and nice and that very important in customer service. Some people are just terrible with customers and you don’t seem that way you work hard and you don’t seem to blame your employers about your problems like some people do.
I honestly hate working at Olive Garden . I’m a host and all the other hostesses are caddy and annoying , and barley do anything . I’m overworked and the GM is over scheduling me during school hours . I really want to quit but I have no other option at the moment
The moment one of the managers yells at me in an angry manner (you know because sometimes they have to yell to get peoples attention or to run food and stuff which is normal) but if I ever get lectured and yelled at or bitched at, I’m walking the fuck out. Everyone makes mistakes and you’re not going to solve a problem by being completely rude and yelling in someone’s face. Unless someone were to do some completely stupid or illegal shit, which I would never do.
As of the date of this comment I have applied and schedule the interview the very next day for a server at Olive garden. Prior to the day this comment I have been working in the kitchen of the Red lobster however I feel that my managers are unfair trying to force me to work overtime just because I work the night shift however I do not feel that is my responsibility to close the store as it was never mentioned in my original interview at Red lobster. I actually have a career at charter and don't even need to work at Olive garden but I'm so sadistic that I just love working as long as it's indoors.
why do all of you think you have to work the hours the restaurant tells you. your fault these are all bottom feeder jobs. they ARE LUCKY TO HAVE YOU. tell them no I can only work 20 and if they got a problem see ya later. stop giving these companies the upper hand. I was younger once too and just tell them no and be honest. In all these stories I hear people tip toeing around the truth ots your own fault. cry me a river
Olive Garden is verry sad place to work they make the employs doo a lout the dish washer is treated bad they use dish washer 4 everything and let the dish washes stack up 4 hours
It's abuse to be yelled at, at a job. Probably someone male or female that wanted to sleep with you. Where is all the animosity over few minutes late? Sorry that happened to you.
I wouldn't be hard on yourself b/c this doesn't sound like it's your fault for what happened. You told the manager your situation and they didn't make any attempt to help you out and then got mad at you when you came in late because of the things you already told them about. That just sounds like really bad management and they shouldn't be surprised when people quit if they act like that
I’m fed up working period. I got anxiety everytime I go to work and it ruins my day. I’ve tried numerous jobs and don’t know what to do.
THANK YOU I FEEEEL THIS I JUST QUIT TODAY. You just wrote down my feelings about it
@@Music4EverKanekavi same lokey! I just quit Olive Garden today and while I enjoyed serving the anxiety is brutal 😭
