Coasters don't have to be a thing in the past, and can become the perfect conversation piece or even the perfect gift! On top of that we will actually learn all about resin, mixing it, pouring it, and curing it to achieve this beautiful crystal clear finish. Can you tell I'm excited about this one!

Stunning…..perfect colors for this!! I’m putting this on my list of one I want to try 😊. One of my most valued tips that I use in all my dotting was from Mandala Love Affair….I dot my first row “layer” of dots then on the second row I dot every other dot first, when I go in to dot the rest of those dots in the second row, I center them between the space left between my every other dot, by doing this it evens out any spacing issues that may have been created in the first row. Unfortunately if ur spacing is off in the beginning it will get more noticeable as ur design gets bigger, so this method really saves a lot of frustration 😊. Happy dotting!!

Love these coasters Marci. You always come up with great patterns and ideas. I have one question on these coasters. When you are painting your base coat on the cork, how easy is it to correct any mistakes and to erase your guidelines? Thanks for this info. Love ya🥰

Hi Denise!! Thanks so much for the compliment! It's very easy to paint the cork. and I would recommend using a watercolor pencil if you don't already, because it comes right off with a damp q-tip. The cork does take the paint, so I normally do two coasts of the base coat. But once the paint is on the cork, its easy to paint it. meaning you do not sink into the cork with your dotting tool.

Rather than trying to make sure you don't miss lines, like I do, you can use athlete's chalk and a dauber. Lightly dauber over the whole stencil and voila.

I just did the coasters this afternoon. It looks like a coaster wasn’t completely covered with resin. 😢
Can I pour more resin into it after it’s completely dry?

Sure you absolutely can! I would just make sure to lightly sand the top area so that the new resin has something to adhere to.
