I think many of these prophecy videos should just be called "words of encouragement for the year" to encourage believers to focus on certain themes for the year. And using these theme, believers maybe can deep dive on certain books of the bible or certain parts of their lives to look out for.
Prophecy for me is like my CEO sending me a specific memo at a specific time to instruct me in a specific situation.
A word of encouragement would be closer to the CEO giving the company a theme for the year. It still has to be detailed enough to be actionable yet can be generic enough not to distract the believer from hearing directly from God.

I don't claim to be a prophet, and God has only given me prophecy 2 times before in my life that I am aware.
If I heard the Holy Spirit correctly, there is double judgement coming as a combination of 2 past judgements - the 1964 Great Alaskan earthquake, and the 1980 Mt Saint Helen - each happening on the same day. For this 3rd judgement they will both come to a single state in a very close region of that state. It will stir fear of the Lord in a wicked state that there is a strong remnant of faithful pastors such as Jack Hibbs, John MacArthur, David Jeremiah, Tom Hughes, Brandon Holthaus, James Kaddis, and others! I pray God will bring a shaking in the false Churches in America and bring a powerful revival in the faithful Churches to cause an awakening in the masses.
This 3rd judgement will be on the same day as the past two, it will combine the past two disasters into one Big 3rd judgement of epic destruction to come in a few months. It is God's discipline for us to repent and come back to Jesus Christ - the Word made flesh and to properly Fear God who is Holy, Just and True.
A service on CZcams by John Kilpatrick was my 4th confirmation this is coming to America Pacific NW most wicked cities, and directly due East is a volcano that will erupt on the same day as the past 2 judgements started. God gave America a 9 year period of grace time to repent and avoid this judgement. The past two judgements had a 2 year and 7 year grace period of time to repent, but America did not. John Kilpatrick CZcams video was labeled, The Earth is Speaking - How the Earth Reacts When Sin Defiles the Land!
God is making it known to America this is His judgement by design for our rebellion, wickedness and evil laws from SCOTUS passed as an assault on God. We will be foolish if we do not repent, for this is God's Loving discipline for us to avoid a much greater destruction, maybe His obliteration Wrath following the rapture when no Righteous are in the land.
God is following Amos 3:7 by telling His chosen of an event before it happens. There is nothing I can do but pray for this nation to repent, but it is obvious such repentance will only come after the nation begins to fear the Lord as they should! Hell and the Lake of fire will be a place of no hope, no pleasure, only continual pain and wailing and gnashing of teeth forever. Hell is a place where there will be no touch of anything solid, and pitch darkness. You very worst day ever on earth will be 10 to the trillion-billion-millionth power better than your best day in the lake of fire! That is scary - fear the Lord people!
God will be proclaiming His Power and Presence to America in only about 3 months from now when this natural disaster hits which is nothing natural, rather super natural!
Repent, seek the Lord Jesus Christ to bring you Salvation through the forgiveness of all your sins if you truly have faith in Him as John 3 is clear. If you live in that area, then you must seek Jesus Christian faith for the Holy Spirit to give you discernment for what you should do. Only God knows who will be affected, and His Wrath is not for the Righteous. If you are born again by faith in Jesus Christ then you are the Righteous.
The test will be self-evident in about 3 months time!

Guuuuyyyyyys, one of the most troubling aspects of these so called prophecies is the taking of the clear teaching of the word of God ( those statements that are scriptural ) and presenting them as personal revelation. We need prophets but not nearly as much as we need the knowledge of the word, something true prophets would continually point us to.

  • @michaelshevlane9132

My test for "words" (at the point of being spoken) is whether they point me to Christ or not, which the Holy Spirit will always do. The VAST majority I hear tend to appeal to the flesh (great things God is going to do for YOU!!!!) without really putting the focus on Jesus Christ. I'd encourage you all to listen to each prophecy and check for whether it points to our Lord. He is often not even mentioned, but it is usually rather claims about "divine strategy" for the year ahead, and how God is moving pieces around a chess board. The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy, beloved. Please think upon this when listening to these!

This first prophecy reminds me of our theme just announced for 2024: An Open Door in '24. Our pastor is super-excited about it. After his Getting Free in '23 theme, I was less so. His sermons were still good in '23, but I greatly prefer the expository preaching he did for four years prior. I have gotten spoiled by these deep dives in the Word and crave more and more, rather than cute themes that rhyme. I know the sermons will still hold a ton of scripture, and I am so blessed for that. But yeah. As soon as the theme was announced, I told my husband that we were heading for a Travolta theme next year: Staying Alive in '25.

When I read the Word, I don't see Prophets praying for a "word" for the coming year...
Prophets usually receive the Word of the Lord because God had something to say about a specific situation, person, or ruler, etc.
Daniel is in a fast, but even in his situation, the Word that came to him wasn't even for "the coming year" or Israel's current situation but a prophetic Word of hundreds and thousands of years in to the future.
Samuel was just a child and didn't even know that the voice he heard at first, was God. Then we have others who confess that they where just humble farmers and that God Himself plucked them out of their fields reluctantly to go speak to a rebellious nation.
I think our chrismania has gotten out of hand and we've turned it into some form of production and crowd pleasing performance.
I feel that a real prophet is someone who isn't looking to prophesy in the name of the Lord, but someone whom God Himself chooses out of His own sovereignty to receive and carry/deliver His Word(s) to a people or person.

I was present at Jeremiah Johnson’s church live when he shared this word and it was really powerful. One of the most important things he said was that he encourages the church to test the word and pray about this application. The best thing he said was that his first “prophetic word” (jokingly) of the year is to read and build your life n the Bible! He talked about the importance of prioritizing Scripture over prophetic words. He is the best example I have seen of shepherding the Church biblically of how to make sense of prophetic words.

I love The Remnant Radio and I know the hosts hearts are in the right place. That’s a good start…
I got an observation to make.
Being a long time Charismatic who has been burned a few times I pay particular close attention to the prophecy videos.
My approach is taken from advice given while I was a student at Christ For The Nations (1980-82).
Chew the meat and spit out the bones.
I hear what is said, evaluate the best I can, wait and watch.
Does the prophecy require any action on my part? Hardly ever.
Just store it away for later.
Having set that table, and remember that I love TRR.
I’m struggling to find the words…
The prophecy evaluations come off sounding like you’ve heard a sermon and are trying to determine if it was well spoken and does it line up theologically (according the evaluators theology).
Does it strike your fancy. Did the prophet “swing for the fences”? What does that have to do with it? That befuddles me. Makes it as though the prophet didn’t write an ambitious enough script. Supposed to be it’s not up the prophet.
I agree the generic “prophecies” don’t really sound like prophecies. Though The Lord could be just encouraging the body to focus on a certain area or mindful of certain things. Not always specific foretelling.
The thing that bothers me the most I think is the prophets who seem to have these extremely specific back n forth conversations with God, and still miss it.
BTW, if you have this intimate relationship, I got a long list of theological questions I would like you to submit for me. It would be nice if we could all get into more unity on theological disputes. Prophecy on some of those issues! Should woman be Pastors? Is it ok to drink booze? How long can my hair be? Are tattoos ok? Do we need to water baptize “in Jesus name” for it to take? Wait for it… election…
    Stuff like that.
    :)

It does not need to be fancy or highly original to be strategic or on time. People didn't see how special Jesus was because he looked ordinary. So are his words. It's the timing that matters. I have a witness in my spirit on some of these, so I'm encouraged and have some direction and areas to watch out for. That's what I hope for in a "year ahead" kind of word.

Hmmm when it comes to worship one.. all I have to say is from where I stand there has been an increase in prophetic worship (especially in the Hispanic/Spanish) church that I only see increasing this 2024, so I think that prophecy is going to come to pass in the world at large (at least in Spanish speaking churches)
Tbh from my perspective and those around me the IHOP situation while it’s sad and broke our hearts, it doesn’t impact us in terms of making us rethink our approach to worship, and I want to say that’s the same for many other churches, especially those who haven’t heard of IHOP.
I would say when judging words don’t just focus on the US but other countries too (although I’m sure that’s easier said than done) and maybe I’m different since I have the blessings of being able to kinda keep an eye on American churches, Hispanic churches, and Spanish speaking churches from other countries

Hey Guys one question, i actually never heard about people asking the lord for a personal word for the next year. In 2020 i prayed into the new year because it was corona and i was alone in my room. The lord prompted me to pray for every month of 2021 and at the end i had a general word how this year will look like. I never did this before, nor did i prophecy to anybody before. As soon as the year started the prophecy started to fulfill itself throughout the whole year. So thats why i did it the next years and everytime the words came to past. Is that still a bad thing to do or should I continue to pray for my future?

There are so many infiltrates from the dark, who pretend to be hearing from God but really are Satan's little puppet. They love to talk about the dark stuff the elites "illuminati" do because it puts you in a dark, sad and angry mind and fearful too. Ones I stopped listening to Jesse I realized this. Tell God what you don’t want and that’s what God will call you to. What an honored to be called to know the deep things of God’s Heart. Remember what happened to Jonah when he didn’t want to deliver God’s word to Nineveh. Moses also tried to tell God No and how God responded. Get in your secret place and talk to God about it. Get revelation from Him about His calling on your life. When you stand before Him, you want to hear, “well done thy good and faithful servant.” Don’t allow Satan to sew seeds of fear and doubt to steal your destiny. Hank Kunnemann and Robin Bullock mentor those called to the office of Prophet. Ask God about leading you to a mentor. You’ll need someone to help you with accountability. I think in all the prophecies, the common theme are things that really could be said any year. The similar verbiage also makes it difficult to be able to hear what’s being said (for me).
I was recently at a men’s event and there were two guys there who practiced hearing from the lord and they gave words to two specific men that were declarative but also could have also have been applied to me. Then a third guy the next day had a word but he mentioned sports being an idol for our community and guys around the room stood up and repented. The latter felt like like something that actually edified and encouraged. The former 🤷‍♂️

Question: when Rountree asked if your spirits resonated with the 2nd guy, is that something that normally happens to you with true prophecy? For me, I certainly feel that when someone is preaching on the Word of God accurately: I can sometimes get a big surge of the Spirit confirming with my spirit, especially if the truths are epic and new to me. I don't have that much experience with prophecy outside of interpreting the Word, though, except with Remnant Radio. (I'm Baptist, which is why I don't hear much prophecy except on here.)

It would be different and even relieving if someone prophesied who doesn't watch the news and keep up with all the current events.
It seems a bit like prophecies go in the natural and even obvious direction of those things if you pay attention to them.
Another example would be someone sharing a testimony of a vision of heaven or Jesus, or had never heard of or read about thier description.
How much of our "prophecy" and what we "visualize" is from our own imagination based on what we focus on?
My point is it would be easier to get on board with a word from God that wasn't already materialized from the content and focus that could be creating a bias on specific details that are just plain to see if you pay attention to the news and current events.
