Rescue International's Water Search with Dogs, training water recovery K9 teams to locate drowning victims, this video is intended to be used with Rescue international's Water search with dogs training manual and in person training class. locating victims of boat or car accidents, bridge collapse or aircraft crashes. How the dogs can locate victims in the water by finding the oils that come to the surface and can be detected by the specially trained dog's nose. This video was made in 1997 and we have updated some areas with comments to help define what is happening. THIS is not a complete training class and you will not be ready to go find people with out much more training and practice with your dog, but we hope it may help other working dog handlers or push you to looking at training your dog to help others. IT IS A LOT OF TIME AND WORK to become a SAR handler and get tested to work your dog.
