Monk Synopsis: Adrian Monk (Emmy®-winner Tony Shalhoub) was once a rising star with the San Francisco Police Department, legendary for using unconventional means to solve the department's most baffling cases. But after the tragic and still-unsolved murder of his wife, Trudy, the devastated Monk becomes obsessive-compulsive. His psychological disorder has caused him to develop an abnormal fear of virtually everything: germs, heights, crowds... even milk. Monk's condition costs him his job, but he's back as a police consultant despite the unique challenges he encounters in his everyday life. These challenges lead Monk to hire a personal nurse, Sharona Fleming (Bitty Schram), who is always there to offer her assistance, even with the simplest of tasks (like organizing his sock drawer). Her less-than-subtle prodding keeps the "defective detective" on track in his investigations, as well as in his efforts to convince Captain Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine) to allow him to return to the force.

The Official Channel devoted to the brilliance of DI Adrian Monk; the defective San Franciscan detective, whose OCD is both a blessing and a curse. We'll be posting the very best moments from the show so, like Monk, you'll never miss a beat.

Monk: “The victim was stabbed.”
Randy: “Yeah, how did you know that?”
Me: Oh, this must be season 1...
It was great how they developed his character over the years.
I’m glad they abandoned the idea of Stottlemeyer and Randy being assholes to Monk.
True, although it did lead up to a frustrating retcon in later seasons.
At times Disher is so STUPID he reminds me of ME!
I felt bad for Monk in this. Feeling a connection with someone only to find out that she’s married and she’s going to try to make things work with her husband.😢😢😢 At least she wasn’t leading him on, but it’s still sad.😢💔
And at least he didn't make her walk up to the top of a skyscraper to go to dinner. (Mr. Monk and the Blackout)
"I'd be there myself but i dont fly." 😅
One of my favorite “Here’s What Happened” from Monk where he exposes the murderer when they try to escape.
Whoever came up with the design of the killer really hit the mark because that guy is actually scary

@@l.a.3479Thank you I fixed it
Lol "Oh my goodness" "If i ever had a garage, I would want it to look exactly like this, everything has it's own spot n organized n labeled" "Do I eat dinner Sharona?" "Yes you do" "Then it's a date, we'll get together for dinner"
🤣
Me too
2 Columbo plot references- the whole dead uncle, will & framing someone else from "Suitable For Framing", with a bit of a nod to "Caution, Murder Can Be hazardous To Your Health" with the dog at the end.
Very astute, except the dog reference is a bit off; in the Colombo plot the murderer trained the dogs to attack.
@@robertperry4439 No, the one where George Hamilton poisoned some cigarettes
You can smell gunpowder residue in a room this size for 4 days. You can? He can.
Stottlemyer had quite a bit of doubt in Monk in this particular episode.
This was one of the first episodes of monk. The captian started off super sceptical of monk, only slowly learning to truat his instincts
@@natenathan2654 Which is so strange because by the end of the series the backstory was that they were partners when Monk was on the force.
This was still in the early seasons, he develops his trust and "Monk" style of thinking as the seasons go on
Also cops shouldn't be arresting people because one guy has a hunch but no evidence. Monk didn't have a suspect until the last 10 mins of the episode lol
Monk ant the captian were partners but then monk had a compleste nervous breakdown when trudy died.
"Do I eat dinner?
Storytime.
Back during Blockbuster times, I was going through Monk, season 1 through season 8, one DVD at a time. Only when I got to season 4, I couldn't find one of the disks. I asked the clerk. She said it was somewhere in the store, but probably just misfiled.
Couldn't go on, skipping episodes, going out of order. Wouldn't be right.
I'll always remember picturing a lone DVD of Monk Season 4, disk 4, lost in that store, sandwitched between Nightmare on Elm Street and Joe Dirt.
I’m dyslexic, I felt sorry for my successor in the file room 😂
9:13 -- This seems like a good time to call the captain back.
Great episode of Monk
The actor playing the original suspect was the star of DaVinci's Inquest. He is a very talented actor. Nicholas Campbell is his name.
I love you, Monk❤😂
The first episode of Monk I ever saw!
In this episode, Monk makes the worst bodyguard.
With the gardening tool, LOL
The real crime in these early episodes is that rug they have Ted Levine wearing.
i miss this show
Sharona: 'I know you told me but I didn't listen.' Best character.
How amazing is that Monk spotted the wrong file in by seeing that drawer opened for like a second, wow
I’d love to meet this guy. What an amazing actor
I love Sharona. Pitty her character didn't return in the movie or so it seems from the trailer.
So if a middle one was right behind another middle, how was Monk able to pick that one up instead of the equally incorrect middle one in front of it?
So with that left-middle-right filing system, if a new record needs to be added somewhere, wouldn't that require you to shuffle every single file either before it or after it?
The end story sounds like something you might see on 4chan or some website like that!!
It appears Monk's ocd has its perks 😅.
12:55 - or, it was right in front of another middle (i.e. either of those two "middles" could have been the smoking gun)
Trudy is helping him from the great beyond
Monk on a date would be great, if it worked out.
Which season is this
Randy a drama 😅
Forget how gruesome this show can be. I mean it’s a detective show but still, a triple murder for inheritance money is pretty wack
Guy could have evaded Monk more easily if he called in his UAV
So, what exactly is Tommys Sentence in all This?
If you mean Todd, than i would expect a life sentence or two...
@@captaindreadeye6264 Details?
@evanallaire2829 I'm no lawyer, but there's first degree murder for Lou and Grayson's murders, second degree for Regina the secretary, forgery of the will...
She looks like Julia Roberts.
Oh my goodness, how can you insult the fabulous beauty of this actress....🤔
@@keithbannister9271 Fair call...
yea, that's California; there no way anybody in that state has that many guns.
Not to worry, he'll be out tomorrow. (2024)
First!
Monk can be a bit dumb sometimes.
Pobody’s nerfect.
