The footage from this video is from the Apple TV. Lots of people are reporting that they don't have this update yet. I'm not sure what's going on with that. Without any special insight, the best I can do is speculate. Perhaps Hipster Whale is testing out the update on Apple TV first, as it's a smaller group of people than iOS and Android. Lots and LOTS of people play Crossy Road. Perhaps this is a temporary embargo, to help promote the Apple TV. Although, since the update quietly appeared on my Apple TV, I'm not very confident in that theory. I'm not sure what's going on. 🤷🏻♂️ What do you think? Did you get to play the new “Candy” update yet? Also, why do you think this update has only appearing on Apple TV so far?

Since the update is new, I'm not exactly sure what exactly unlocks the chocolate duck. The two theories I have are eat 80 candies or get four bears friends to follow the main bear. Based on what was said on r/crossyroad on Reddit, the second theory is looking more likely now. Colored cubes are randomly placed on the ground of the Jelly Bear level. Each candy eaten causes a new Jelly Bear to appear. So, try getting four to follow the main bear and see if that unlocks the “CHOC Mallard”.

If I had to unlock that character today, I'd probably start with the “Chicken” from the “Original Cast” level. Although, when writing back to you the first time, I realize that I haven't seen a chocolate river in a long time. It's a rare occurrence. It seems even more rare than seeing the Hipster Whale float by or a Missile Truck to unlock Michael Boom.

I didn't get to play that one. But from what you describe, that sounds like a good idea for Hipster Whale to reuse the content that they can reuse.
