- Before there was Cassie Layne there was another sibling that was around for support for Reva and that was Rusty Shayne! We he came to town no one knew he was a cop so that he could help out the man who helped him out when he was younger, HB Lewis.
By diving into this character I discovered stories that I never heard of like how he met his wife Rose. I hope you learn something new by watching this.

Rusty was a great character addition. It’s amazing how the writers over the years were able to write in a character and create a storyline for them. Awesome writing.
Guiding Light was better than any of the soaps on TV.
Mindy should have ended up with Rusty.
Rusty fell in love with Mindy before Rose.
There was only ONE Mindy~ Krista Tesreau.
Nope, there was actually a better one played by Kimberly Simms. She was the best Mindy!
They should have brought back Johnny bauer. Roxy shane. Rusty shane at the end of final episodes they ruled the aire ways back in the days
I agree. I loved Roxie so much. It's funny how Reva was such a popular character but I loved both of her sisters way more than her character.Cassie and Roxie were two of my all-time favorite characters. I never understood why they never brought Roxie back.I

I was so pissed when they nixed the Rusty/Mindy pairing in favor of Rusty and Rose. Tesrau and Anthony had such great chemistry together!
I wish Rusty would have married another lady after Rose died, he and the new wife could have a kid and Josh and Reva and Marah and Shayne could visit them in Cross Creek. I remember watching Guiding Light as a kid with my mom and I remember Marah and Shayne they kind of reminded me of us as a group. I was the youngest of four siblings (two brothers and one sister) and we were a handful and good together and Marah and Shayne reminded me of us. and Josh and Reva's roots in Oklahoma reminded me of my mom's roots in Ohio and when I first saw Josh and Reva's remarriage, Grandpa Hawk came from Oklahoma and that is when I noticed the reminder of my family
I started watching Guiding Light when I was in junior high, and I felt like I caught the soap opera at the tail end of its prime after Reva came back and the original actor that played Roger Thorpe was fired. It was a good soap.
Loved rusty and rose. They were so cute together.

Wow, thats strange because I found Rosie to be a sweet character. You probably just wanted him with Mindy. However, I do agree that Mindy and Rusty belonged together
