How to make a flower wall, Cheaply using faux paper flowers

- Nowadays, a party is not a party without a flower wall. Flower walls have become so popular, from weddings and Communions to festivals and pretty bars you are guaranteed to see a floral display. I wanted to make my own for an upcoming garden party but I didn't want to break the bank. Flower walls can be so expensive, whether you are considering renting one or making one from faux flowers they can be costly. I am pleased to say that the one I made in today's post was really cheap and all it cost me was time. So pretty! I learned to make these as a child with facial tissues. We used a bobby pin for the center. I make tissue paper flowers to use as filler for top of gift bags. For my son’s wedding open house, I made very large white tissue paper flowers and glued them on top of dowel rods which I stuck into the ground to make a path leading from the driveway to the back yard. This brought back many happy memories and inspired me to make more. Thanks for sharing!

We used to make these out of Kleenex's (tissues) and then place them on the bridal parties cars. I don't know how many we made for my wedding but I do know that we sat there every night for weeks making them. I do love the big florals and they'd make a pretty backdrop for photos.
doverdiane My twin sister and I had to help make them for my older sisters for their weddings....lots and lots...
thought we were big girls until the fun wore off and it just became a chore....lol....

It took me back to my girlfriend and I making paper roses for a neighbour’s wedding. We must have killed several trees to make all those flowers. Sadly my family was out of town the weekend of the wedding and I never saw the finished product.
That's the way my mum showed me how to make them.

Amazing! I also remember making smaller ones, Mexican version, with various bold colors. This looks sooo beautiful in white or even pastels colors if they come in those colors. Beautiful also for Quinceaneras (Mexican & Southwest coming of age birthday parties for 15 yr. old girls) :).
