I drove a '66 beatle for 12 years. I loved it. To this day, I miss that car.
Beautiful Volkswagen, and I love the way you protected its original look!
Español
VW 65 was my first car. I loved it and I still miss it.
Right there man. 69 suntop. I miss it thirty five years later.
I'm a vw guy and I love my 65, this guys went crazy on this one, wish got the money to uppgrade mine that way or better, grettings from Mex.
Such a cool and good looking car... thinking back to when I seen this on TV years ago, this probably had a part in inspiring me to buy my ‘66 beetle.
This is why i love classic volkswagens❤️
Beautiful job!
I am from Toronto and I love all Beetles. One day I will stop by at your place. You guys are awesome.
I still miss my first car, a '65 type 1, 36 years after it was stolen. Less than 10 hours after I spent the entire day installing $1,500 worth of new parts (at 1984 prices), the car was gone. Worst gut punch of my life at that point.
the first car they have built that I wish I could afford to buy
There's nothing about this car you wouldn't be able to do yourself, save possibly the motor but you could get much closer with parts you can literally bolt on after dropping the engine onto a milk crate in your garage.
chris rhodes so true
chris rhodes how much a motor like that one would cost? I know nothing about cars
he said $5500 in the video. sounds like a custom engine to me; but you could skip that and swap in a subaru engine worth about $1000-$2000, put out about 150-200hp

17's look good. Can't wait to put my 66 back together.
I love these old beetles i got a 1974 and i love it, its amazing and very popular in europe and egypt❤️
I love these old classic cars like this beetle
My first car was a 61 or 62 ragtop. Had a lot of dents, and the engine was in the back seat. did all the work myself at age 14.4 to drive on my 16th birthday. It was painted gold, and I wore the JC Whitttney catalog out, as I earned money to buy stuff. Looked like a show car,and had many offers but would not sell it. Finally traded it for a MG then had to sell it for more reliable transportation of a 68 camaro. Now I own 18 VW's, and stopped buying them so I can get all of them restored or resto-mods. m Squarebacks, Karmann Ghias, and bugs. Have not found a solid enough bus yet. Have to love these cars. Nothing like them.
Well done, very nice! Good job y'all!
Gorgeous bug and honestly for 6k with all the extras, its a steal! Easily worth 15k nkw
they probably spent over 15k on it once you factor in the car, motor, suspension, wheels, etc.
That looked pretty sharp!
Chris Ross It’s got rot all over it
Absolutely gorgeous!
So glad it wasn't customised to much, it's a Beast!!!!
I love the originality haha
The initial ride height was looked much better. IMO
Man, I'd love to get a Beetle again. My first car was a '61 with a full canvas sunroof, followed by a '67. Nice job on your '65!
Nice! My friend Zoe has a 59 Shes had since highschool (1984) it's a European model with semaphores, and a rag top. I've never seen another one. I had a white 64 in highschool that I ran into the back of a Chevy Impala Scottsdale PD cruiser while pulling into the school parking lot. Not my proudest moment! LOL I got some new front sheet metal and had it painted Chrysler plumb crazy purple and put centerlines on it. Dove it for a few years after highschool, and sold it. Fun cars!
cameraz99 me too I had 1972 and 1966 but want 1966 again my favorite year of all
My first car was a '60 beetle. Paid $100 for it in 1970. Had a ton of fun with it, but it had a bad habit of vapor locking in the summertime. The fun ended when an airforce guy slammed into me. Insurance gave me $50 for it.
Excellent job, congratulations!
Beautiful
Cool work you all.....
Nice job!
Bugs that old had the most accurate gas gage ever. If ever in doubt that you had gas, just wiggle in your seat and if you see the needle move, you were good to go.
I can buy a 74 "one owner" for 1500.
So *DID* you?
What are the odds I just bought the same car same year same color and I was just in Midalothian Texas last week 🤣👍. And bought it for 8k too 👍👍
Think we all want to fix up a bug and it’s so cheap to do. Sometimes we just don’t want to admit. Great looking car and I bet it’s a blast to drive
I LOVE THEIR WORK
Well done !!!!!
Not a fan of the low rider treatment or oversized wheels but otherwise very nice. Amazing what the old boxers are capable of.
Just saw this car is person driving in valley ranch!!! Very nice car
Very cool bug. I had a nice 68 and sure liked it.
Beautifulllll!!!
8000 is very little for this sexy looking and sexy driving masterpiece i got a 74' and i love it i still drive it till today
Este es mi programa favorito sigan asi
8 grand!!!! Holy shit! I owned 66. Drove from Whistler to Sacramento in 88 before it blew up. Hitch hiked the rest of the way. It was a long trip
Sick car!
3:08 so the engine is allready build, cool... xD
i like everything about it except for it being too low
Parabéns pelo vídeo uma baita produção hehehe E claro um belo clássico :D
Sweet!
So much better than sitting thru automobile adds on TV, damn I'm tired of close ups of head lights and peek a boo sun glare. Yes to you tube
If they spent an hour explaining the details, this would actually be a worthwhile program! Jeesh!!
I love this guys what they doing to the cars
I wish I could buy it! I love it to death!
That is one sweet bug! Love them Smoothies. I wonder what sort of exhaust that is?
Precioso vehiculo original o con modificaciones es elegante clásico.los amo.
Nice wheels!
Beautiful bug👍👍👍👍 !!
What would have been cool is tracking down one the old trailer these things could haul. It didn't hitch on the bumper but on the roof.
I know where a couple old buses are. Cruddy paint problem some rust and no interior but they look so cool I would love to build one
Check out the early dual-carb type 3's. They're much better than the type1 bug motor, and the dual carbs are great.
mann wish i had this vw bug.
Build your own bro
How amazing
lol When he said 8k i was like, I got that right now lol. is that a Woflsburg??
Awesome!
get you some of that. WOOOOH
Totally awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Isn't that Kenny Rodgers dirt track car from the movie "Six Pack" at the 3:34 mark?!?
5,500 for the motor? Thays how much a paid for an entire beetle.
There is also no way the motor was built for $5500. Turn key motors like that are typical;y in the 10k range
@PeePee2000 Yah, but then you have to fuck with the can bus no matter if you want a stand alone or to splice the harness. Not to mention there is not any good place for a rad in the car as the front is fairly sealed up. Dont get me wrong, it can be done, but if you are under 300hp it just isnt cost effective
@@eskamobob8662 Yeah for sure haha. Pretty sure this one was carbed and not EFI (bit cheaper), but even then a 200+HP 2.3L is comfortably in the $7-10K range
But now you got a 10k car to sell that will only appreciate over time
Aaron was the brains 🧠 and Brimberry was a real sweet heart.
This blows my bug out of the water!
I like the 1960 big window apache behind them
I’ll send pics for the beetle ;)
It’s perfect
What work did they actually do > they skipped over everything
Exactly, Sad, Uniformative. Unfortunately most of the watchers won't notice.
see the above link people!
Does it really matter??? Like your going to fucking buy it?? What a fucking croc
jack mehoff to be
it obvious does matter to them, they came to watch the build, the build wasn't in the video
Really nice vw
I'd buy a vw bug off Elliot, seems like an honest guy
awesome bug
man, this 65 bug was a buy!!!!cong!
Beautiful bug build
My Bug had a turbocharged Corvair engine...ran like a bat out of hell!!! That's why I don't still have it!!!!
Killer beetle!!!
love it
Wow awesome did you sell it yet
I want it. Cool AF.
One of my Former Class mates from High school still has her 1972 VW Beetle and it runs like a brand new She also Changed the Fluids Religiously from oil to what ever The Only thing she had to Change the tires and Battery Other than that That Car runs like a brand new
@0:42 ... AIR-COOLED ... LOL
love the vw
AWESOME
Nice car.
lol that bug is actually cool
NICE!!!
What kind of wheels were those they are awesome!
Als ich 15 war, gab mir mein Vater 1965 einen VW " Beagle" . Ich habe 16 Autounfälle !!!
Ich liebe meinen Beagle 1965!!!!!
Great condition
I wish they had restored it...I had a '64 just like it, with a crank sunroof...
WHYYYYY is there always a dumbass deadline???!!!!
You put a dead line b/c you can move on to the next project. You are not putting too much labor into one car.
Dandypanty :"Deadline"....used to add drama to reality shows.
Dandypanty because they need to make it exciting and fixing a car is not exciting so a deadline is their idea of excitement
Hey guys I am currently building a 66' beetle. I love the color you have there would know what the color code is?
thank you for the cool video!!
Wie kann man nur ein Auto so verunstaltet
Mano do céu 😍👏👏👏
Dammmm... Looking pretty good for 76 Volkswagen
Edward Adiwinata it's probably a 65 or 66. Not 76
My car is VW 1965 colour white. I'm still driving it And will drive forever my uncle gave me because he known that I love so much. I 💖 my car. 😘😘😘😘
my dream car :)
Best beetle ever made
Would love to have that bug! 🐢☠️
In my country they are like 1000$
you can get one for 1000 here but that has no rust and is super clean so it costs more
Why? It will cost 10k or more and it's still a 65 bug. There is no way to make this car safe and you really cannot use it as a car. It's just a very expensive toy that takes a lot of storage space.
turtlebone Nice car I had one in high school.
@@shapatar3984 where is your country?
My dream car😍😍😍😍😍
Uma Brasília em 01:04! Nunca imaginei ver uma na Europa fora de algum museu.
Bad ass build! Where did you get those wheels? Help!
