Ben het met je eens. Zeker als je het vergelijkt met wat er op Defqon tegenwoordig gedraaid wordt. Vergelijk je dat met 10 jaar geleden dan is het echt heel hard achteruit gegaan.

soo good! I absolute love the classic hardstyle! Its when I fell in love with this genre and everytime I feel like I am growing bored of the new style, I give the classics a listen and my love comes back!
2024: the year hardstyle goes through a classical hardstyle cleansing from the raw disease
I personally dont mind raw. What I hate most is that new hardstyle tracks are being ruined by "zaag" "piep" or "pvc" kicks. And it's not only the sound of these kicks that I don't like; but it's also the way songs are built-up as a bait to listen it to the end. They often start with an amazing intro that has much ambience and an amazing build-up lead. Followed by a drop that just doesn't make any sense and doesn't fit with the previous melody.
As if you're mixing with virtual DJ. Then towards the end of the song; they bring up a normal kick and finish the song within 20-30 seconds.

its so strange i never seen brennan heart LIVE but.. i follow his music journey for over 10 years and for me its like i know him.. i guess the hardstyle is what it is - hard style.. no boundaries.. only the love for the music

This was probably one of my favorite sets ever. A lot of tracks that I absolutely love, yet I had barely heard any of them live before. At the end I was absolutely destroyed because he just kept dropping bangers.

Als ik naar VWAB ga (bezoeker van het eerste uur) maak ik altijd een bucketlist met wat ik wil horen. Toen ik LSD hoorde, ging ik van binnen even kapot. Wat een feest elke keer weer, de sfeer van toen, alles samen. Tot de volgende VWAB!

kwam hier toevallig terecht, maar luister al sinds 2009 geen hardstyle meer. Als dit al classic wordt genoemd, ben ik vooral niet benieuwd naar hoe de mainstream klinkt.
