  • We got a call from a couple fans that were stuck in a sinkhole!
They were clear up in Salina Canyon, which is about 3 hours away from us.
They had come out from Denver Colorado to purchase a 5-speed Jeep Cherokee.
Of course, they had to go wheeling on the way home, because it's a Jeep thing!

For those who say this should be aired by History Channel and the likes... Any professional TV show would insist in adding drama and their own spin to the story line. We would lose the great production ran by Matt and team. I say keep History Channel and/or Netflix types out of it! Don't mess up a good thing! But then that is a choice Matt and team would make, I'm just giving my opinion. Great work guys... always well done. Keep it up!

At 15:35 when you added your weight to the rear tyre, I was willing for you to swing the spare wheel carrier and lock it in the open position. There was a nice counterweight there with a heavy wheel on a steel fulcrum. Making an 18" stirrup from a rope to add body weight to the wheel could have helped. Wasn't needed as it turns out, but you know, 'one more arrow in the quiver' for next time. As for the Jeep collapsing down, the whole side of the 'mountain' would have to crumble for that to happen. Considering the Jeep was wedged between two solid pieces of Earth with no room to slide further down without massive amounds of dirt collapsing, there's very minor risk (at least no more risk than standing on the road).

You could have set a bag or three with some boards in that hole under the car, and once it filled a good bit, slip one down between the "wall" and the fourby. Glide that sucker right out. Please never _ever_ get underneath a load suspended by unstable soil and a recent land shift. Crazy dangerous. Oh yeah, they are. I ripped all of my passenger side door panels off on a tree stump. I had them replaced in 2 days for 70 bucks. Real easy

Get one man, they're awesome. Sometimes a pain in the ass, but the things you can do with them is awesome. I got a Jeep Cherokee Classic that Im converting to a 4WD next week. Just gotta go pick up some axels. Already got the transfer case and transmission. Gonna be awesome

    It's 2021.
I'm pretty sentimental over this video - it's the very first one I saw about Matt and his work (about a year ago) and I'm a huge fan since then :)
