Just a quick one everyone a company called "Repost Network" claimed the video and is running ads on it because an artist I guess they represent sampled the song or the same one that Mac used only their artist did it last year. I guess they think they own it? Madness if you ask me. Ive filed a dispute as i want to keep ads off this as neither I nor Repost Network own any of this content as far as im aware. Not only that but it was a free mixtape/beattape.

I opened for Mac Miller back in 2010 and he hasn’t taken off yet. He talked and was one of the most upbeat creative minds I’ve ever met and gave me tickets three years later when he’s famous. As I’m typing this now it’s still hard to believe he’s gone but his vibrations will always be with me thanks to music. Thank you for uploading this

Ive listened to all of Mac's albums including Delusional Thomas etc, but this my first time hearing this album, don't need anything other than the first song. Getting me through some really dark thoughts, can't get over how talented he was 😢
I remember the night this came out like it was yesterday. Listened to the first half and loved it but hadn’t really soaked it in yet because it was background music while I got ready for a party at my friends house. Went out and had a night to remember. I woke up and stumbled outside at 6:11am and saw it had a few thousand views, my battery was low. I put this tape on and the first song…. It felt like hours. The chirping of the birds in the song while the birds around me chirped. The morning breeze on my skin, the warmth of the sun hitting me, the blue sky and the mountains towering tall like a group of wise men. The sand of the Mojave desert under my feet, the calm quietness of the early morning. The calm I felt, “Yes it is romantic. It had been a golden afternoon. And I remember having the familiar conviction that life was beginning over again” the sun slowly climbing in the sky. The Joshua trees in the distance. The empty desert standing still. There is no word to describe that morning. Nirvana is close maybe. That moment lasted forever. His music has inspired me, helped me and kept me going. Take care of yourself. I hope you find moments to breathe and see all the beauty around you. It’s out there, and it’s within you as well. Everything you need you already have. You’re doing great. Take care❤️

Ive been debating uploading more Mac content and turning it into a bit of a chill archive of sorts. Only reason I haven't done so is because of copyright strikes and also the nature of uploading unreleased material while respecting Mac and the work he did. I know he would want us to have music, but its tricky doing it respectfully. I have demo versions that might be okay to upload of other music he had released for example.
If your more knowledgeable about what I should avoid uploading (due to copy claims etc.) please let me know because uploading on this site can be a nightmare these days. Would appreciate the help greatly!

I went to one of macs concerts during the Devine Feminine tour and I had a dream a couple weeks after that I went to one of my family reunions and he was just hanging out at this activities place and there were so many people there, I seen him across the crowd and he was looking through at me and when we made eye contact he smiled then made his way across this huge room and when he got to me shook my hand and hugged me patted me on the back and said hey man thanks for coming to that one concert I was happy to see you two sitting back and enjoying the music. Continued to ask my what was going on with my life and I ended up hanging out with him and my girlfriend and daughter all day he was so genuinely a good guy and easy to get along with. It was crazy how real the dream and his personality was. I’m so sad that there will be no more albums from my favorite artist. But Swimming was perfect for him to leave off on. It will forever be timeless just like the rest of his songs. He was a great man.

Alejandro Serrano Mac feels very approachable and grounded and like a chill guy and is very real and because he mentioned all his problems and stuff in his music and stuff like that which could make him more relatable to some ppl and was never a dick to his fans makes it seem like he likely to talk to fans and chill with them in the right mood I reckon

this is essentially a 30 minute long piece of original music which morphs into a different shape every 3 minutes. that's a hell of an effort to make all of that from scratch just for the purpose of a mix. which i presume was the case...sounds ad-libbed. beautiful sounds in here, the engineering, as always from mac, is awesome. this approach is i guess why swimming so was damn seemless end to end.

Swimming was such an amazing album. Its so bitter sweet though, because in the evolution of Mac's music it was a step forward and away from the dark and depressing era he had been in, the self love and attempts to regain control of his life you could hear it in the songs on Swimming. Was such a bitter sweet final project knowing the direction that he was heading in recovery or at least some sort of positivity and self care. RIP to legit one of the greatest of all time.

This project and volume 2 have to make me the saddest now that he's gone. I'm glad that he got to be on this Earth and do what he did but I think we all know that he still had so much potential to live up to.
I remember growing up in the desert of Southern California about 2 hours outside of La when this came out. I remember waking up after some of the craziest parties I ever been to in my life and just putting this on and looking out at the mountains and pondering life. Or in tough times I would put this on and just disconnect from everything. This man saved my life and I wish I could thank him for that. I love you Mac❤️ sending love to all you Macheads out there too. This album gives me chills listening to it, so much nostalgia❤️

What does it mean ?
@@mauiwowie2626 Could mean anything, I like to think it was Malcolm hinting at his own underlying disillusionment that came about as a result of his overwhelming success. i.e. the seeds of his addiction and eventual downfall.
You can start to get a hint of his shift in attitude if you listen to macadelic/WMWTSO, his first real dark and introspective projects. Really diverged from all the happy-go-lucky frat rap he had made up to that point. This is where Malcolm realized that even your Best day ever cant go on indefinitely, life takes its toll no matter what. Cant stay at the top forever. Top becomes the norm and creates a lot more potential for downside/addiction.
In the same way successful child stars sometimes go on to be dysfunctional adults, human beings can't get it all at once without often sustaining heavy blows to their own character/life perspectives/ambitions. The spoiled rich kid trope is another example.
Its like beating a videogame completely and having achieved total mastery you run out of challenge and you get bored. Same thing happened to Malcolm because he blew up so young and decided to fill the void with drugs and well here we are.
Still an amazing human being and one of the best artists of our generation imo. RIP.

@@chrisshannon4814 Wow man, incredibly well said. I grew up listening to Mac and feel a deep connection to his music because of that, and I couldn't have said it better myself. Mac's shift from party rap to introspective/deep bars is still one of the most severe and impressive shifts that I've ever seen in music.
I'm definitely biased because Mac has always been and still is one of my favorite artists, but too many people didn't realize the raw musical talent of him early on; you can hear the passion in his music throughout his career, and this era throughout Faces/WMWTSO only served to solidify his position in the underground rap community.

I feel so bad for him I know he’s in a better place man but I wish he was alive today to help us. We put so much pressure on him for dealing with the breakup, drug addictions, and the whole Astro World vs Swimming beef smh. I know some of us weren’t involved with his misfortunes by criticizing him and his work but let’s appreciate the artists we still have before they pass and stop putting so much pressure on them.
Mac bro. You can just tell that you are ahead of us. We couldn’t keep up with you on earth. We were all on the first pages of life. While you made it big at 18, there’s no way to fathom how much experience and wisdom you gained. If we understood you better, maybe we could have gave you the credit you much deserved since the very beginning. You understood that we couldn’t fathom the feeling. You understood you were seeing things faster than we could perceive. You understood the human identity; that we can go to the lowest of lows to the highest of highs. You spoke to the human being, not a human race. Your consciousness made it full circle and that’s all that matters in this life. You made it Mac and I almost feel as if you are a messenger from God because even though everyone around you was doubting you and even your own family was judging where you might be in the afterlife because of the music you wrote, you created your own way. And that way has paved way for many of us to get out of the holes we create and to love and continue to do so even when the world has turned a side eye. May your legacy be REMembered forever.
