The reason he stated that he cheated actually completely makes perfect sense, he's overly manipulative and even when exposed to breaking the trust of anyone in the speedrun community he still tries to safe his character by making up a story about how he did it all for the girl which must be the most creepy thing I've ever seen someone do to someone who also has a girlfriend?... There's so many layers of creepiness here it blows my mind.

5:57 though I agree with you completely about this run being suspicious, you can indeed see more part of the fortress behind that lava flowing down in the middle of the screen. .
5:59, I can actually see more Nether Brick blocks behind the lava, and I noticed them before the video progressed; however, it's absolutely true that in a high-stakes speedrun environment you probably wouldn't pay much attention to the line of discolored red pixels amidst the background of other red pixels.
Honestly it's more that he should have been looking around. And if he had, would have been more likely to go to the obvious spawner to his left than to take off cross-country.
Speedrunning community has my deepest respect for being this serious about what they do. Seriously.

2:14 Flowbee was using duncan’s reset mod, the reason the “stop reset & quit” button didn’t appear is because that only appears when using the auto reset feature. This means flowbee had the auto-reset mod but he didn’t actually use it, presumably because he wanted to inject a seed and you can’t do that w/ the auto reset feature

Love the use of Mass Effect music, so calming.
Psychologically speaking, showing others that you commit mistakes as a normal, not perfect person would, makes you more trustworthy and likeable to others except under very specific contexts, this one not being one of them. So if he wanted Krystl to like him better, it was an overall better idea to just say he messed up but maybe in a funny way as in "yeah so I may or may not have lost a potentially great run because i forgot the food chest". It would have been really funnier and more sympathetic than "i got a great run but lost it to ender eyes", would not have been a lie, would not have been a risk to his reputation and speedrunning career, would not have been the pettiest shit to ever be witnessed in the mcspeedrunning community and would have been an overall better choice.

you actually CAN see a bit of the fortress behind the lava stream if you're paying very close attention. that said, i had to pause and rewind multiple times to be sure i was seeing it right. if i had been actively playing the game at the time, i'd probably have missed it.

I feel extremely sorry for this guy, even though I don't know him or whatever he had done may it be good or bad. Winning someone's interest/love should not be based on impressing them. A person that likes you for your "skills" one day might start liking someone else because they might have better skills than you. Honestly a relationship should be based off of a strong bond between two people. Not even sure if this guy knew that girl in a more intimate way (by this i mean things like her name or how she looks like etc).
This isn't a movie or an anime, the real world is the place where there are no superheroes or main characters, there can be as many good endings and bad endings. The evil can get away with causing pain most of the times and unfortunately for the most of us or i should say the not fortunate enough of us, things never go the way we want them to. Even though there are no main characters, people with power or simply people that have a following (they're popular) will always rule over those who don't. Whoever is at the top decides what's right and what's wrong and often enough, it's all wrong. I'm tired of the sick society we live in and honestly i can't wait for it to change, I'll do my best for it to happen.

So, I have no idea who Flowbee is/was or that all of this went on, and I can say, this was a random recommended video that I found fascinating, if only to know that Minecraft speedrunners are *_THIS_* passionate and regimented about this stuff. Fascinating and respectable.
It just pisses me off that he still claims his other runs are legit when he does the same exact shit he does in the run that was proven to be cheated on the ones that can't be proven/disproven.

@@emmazi00 I might not trust Dream, but I trust Karl Jobst and his investigation vid seemed likely to me that Dream's cheat is accidental. Dream's run was only caught because another speedrunner specifically went to go analyse his drop rates, which would make it a 'better' fake run since it was harder to catch.

Honestly the reason for cheating on that speedrun is incredibly stupid. If I was in his spot I would have fully admitted to throwing a run because I forgot a foodchest. That will definitely get a good laugh out. And on top of that, which is more impressive a: getting a wr now or b: throwing a run of my own stupidity and still have the grit to continue grinding out a wr and do it later?

Whilst he should normally have gone left, I myself as a normal player running through the fortress would have gone straight ahead as it's a good way to get on top and get your bearings.
