Call Me Kevin
I ruined the new sims DLC with a baby battle royale
#CallMeKevin #Gameplay #Sims - Hry
Other simmers: Oh wow! A fun family pack thatâs filled with details, letâs create some wholesome families and builds.
Kevin: Battle royale of babies it is!
And that's why he's our favorite
@@eleanorcatherino3839 i love her and her deadpan sense of humourđ
classic Kevin
Me: cool, a second third of Sims 3 Generation for $40
đđ
Out of 15 babies, 8 are left. That's more than half, which is a passing grade as far as I'm concerned. Military Genius Kevin is victorious again.
he's a family genius now
Kevin is a baby genius.
It's good to know "no pickens" were taken away lol.
8 out of 15 babies approves that Kevin is the Seven.
Any survivors is a passing grade for Kevin dawg đ
i lost so many sims before realising that "be slain by a vicious killer rabbit" affects the sim you are currently controlling and not the sim you clicked the option on
I ended up learning that the hard way... đą
we all been there i fear... đ
bahahahaha omfg that happened to me
Clicked that option once because I wanted to get rid of a husband in a dramatic way and watched in horror as I killed the sim I was controlling.
Kevin sounding so hopeful when he says that the infants will soon be able to wash themselves, totally forgetting there is a toddler stage in between
At that point I was preparing myself for the finale of the video being the dissapointment of realising that
^^^^
I think because that wasnt part of the game when it was origonally released
the toddler stage isnt that hard though, not nearly as hard as in the earlier games. u can leave plates of food around and they get their own food and just give them the tablet. cps doesnt take ur kid cos it smelly.
â@@kabhes9040 but this vid came out two months ago how does he not have toddlers?
Halfway through and waiting for Kevin to realize his neighbors were married and not related lol
Eh, he's irish
Wait until he find out there is now a toddler alone with no parents.
lesbians looking like a little boy is lesbianlore accurate
Edit: (im assuming they're a lesbian couple, dunno if the sim is a woman or an nb. Or a twink. Im so sorry)
ok but why does Jay look like a child?
@@BloodyFourSquad it's not unheard of in the trans-masc community to look younger than you are.
For April Fools you should make a Sims video where absolutely nothing nefarious happens, just Jim Pickens living a normal life. That'd be funny I think.
This *is* Jim's normal life though. XD
@@rhawkas2637 @Ryo Maybe then it should be a day where Jim actually saves lives. Then the next sims video can start with a news report stating they've all died of mysterious causes.
jim becoming enraged because he couldn't afford a rubber duck was hilarious
Honestly itâs relatable
Hmm... what exactly is the function of a rubber duck? đ€
â@@Emsev100harry potter!!!
@@Emsev100 Undeniable joy
Good grief, Kevin is not just a military genius, but also a motherhood genius
Kevin's Sims series is one of my favorite types of content on CZcams, his creativity and chaotically wholesome vibe is awesome
big same! I always get super excited when I see a Sims vid on my sub feed :D
i truly miss the old characters tho
Dreamworks is an interesting company. They'll release shite productions, then drop an absolute banger like Puss in Boots
Same
HE CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH ITTT
Kevin's really channeling his inner Grimes by naming his baby "Question Mark"
âWidower? I thought that was your mom!â Funniest and most relatable part
"this one is a little bit wacky!"
yes kevin because the jim pickens series has been extremely balanced and reasonable until now
I learned from this video if you plan to raise a huge family do it on a quake zone so the babies are rocked to sleep simultaneously
I didn't even know earthquakes were a thing in the Sims 4 until now đ
@@DBswag_ I learned it from Kevin a little while back I had his video on for background noise and heard âWHAT WAS THAT oh an earthquake.â And got really scared for a second đ€Ł But it still feels weird Sims 4 has earthquakes they need to add all or nothing I WANNA SEE A TORNADO
ââââââââââ@@thedarkdweller3476 the entire first two floors of the house floods and they climb up on the roof until they starve just like in real life. just massive sink holes swallowing up whole lots. you just go to read the newspaper and it informs you that 30 sims froze to death while the power was out. routine crop failures and grocery store price hikes. an egg costs 1308 simoleons. a llama news network that spews ever more absurd denialist satire as catastrophies increase over time haha. its what the old sims wouldve done if they had the tech.
@@Jack-px8lf sims 4 the end times
Iâd get it in a heartbeat
@@thedarkdweller3476I'd so love it if we could get (rare) weather disasters! I had a family that was supposed to be living in "The Midwest", and to simulate that accurately, I at one point locked everybody in the basement and _pretended_ a tornado had happened--by levelling the entire above-ground part of the house and replacing it with some decorative? rubble. Then I let them out. (I wasn't TOTALLY cruel; I put basic necessities in the basement so they could eat, sleep, etc. )
But I'd love it if actual in-game tornados/hurricanes could happen, and destroyed a random amount of stuff, so it's less predictable.
"Single parent doing single parent things" while being passed out on the floor - seems very real.
EA owes Kevin SO much money. I bought the sims 4 and he has swayed me to get every expansion I was on the fence on by making it look so damn fun. And I can't be alone! More than any youtuber or simmer, Kevin always shows off the pack in the most fun way, and I forget that I'm about to pay $40 for some bugs with parts of a game attached
After every Sims video I feel like I want to go back to TS4, but then I cool down and remember all the things that annoy me in it so I never do lol
@@BloodyFourSquad YESSSS 100%. It also helps (or hinders) that my 'play style' is being a mods addict and I have to transfer over 600 gigs of mods between an external hard drive and my computer. It's a major deterrent lol. Buuuut, also thanks to Kevin, I got into Stardew Valley and my mod needs are different, and significantly less memory hahahaha
Just pirate it idiot, lmao
@@secretlybees WHOA dude, i thought my hundreds of Morrowind mods was a hassle and that's only like 8GB đ
Imagine paying for the Sims
I was wondering what Kevin would do with this updateâŠ. I am always pleasantly surprised with Kevinâs imagination
I find it so funny that Kevin only noticed now that he can age babies up immediately after years of playing The Sims đ
Nah he just forgets everytime he closes the game
Heâs a content creator, if he used all of the things he knew there would be no desperation no video etc. Itâs like story telling is an art, you gotta exaggerate and build a good story.
â@@livebungusreaction I'd usually agree with you, but the whole point of this pack is infants, and there's plenty of desperation in trying to raise 15 infants. I can't help but think he genuinely forgot this one lol.
â@@ILuvAyeAyeHe has genuinely forgotten because he has ADD.
Kevin forgets a lot of stuff. Like how he had an alien grandson that always confused him. He forgot Jules name after one session after mourning him. He doesn't remember why there was another Jim Pickens in the neighbourhood. Part of the fun of the series is current Kevin being confused by past Kevin's life choices.
i hope we get to see all the grown up babies randomly as townies in future episodes.
*Revenge of the Pickens babies!*
"Ah, no, shut up! What's wrong with you!?" And just like that, Kevin has learned what it's like to be a parent.
Jim laughing in the background evilly while Kevin is talking is something I didnât know I needed. Great episode as always!
"It's hard being a single parent, even with a full-time nanny and a full-time hostage!" đđ
Watching this sims 4 series is like watching a 10 season drama: thereâs so much lore that youâll never remember and you always end up rewatching
Once again Kevin doing something EA is gonna have to mention in their patch notes
Yes, we have to hope nobody reports toddlers being able to use tents as a bug.
I really hope the final patch note for the Sims 4 just includes the line "Please behave, Kevin"
@@sacrificiallamb4568itâs been in the game for ages. Gluon used it in one of his 100 baby challenges. It was baby shanty town!
People who go back to older Sims games tend to complain when the social worker takes all the kids in the family at once, but this is exactly why.
Every time thereâs a new pack from sims 4 Iâm more excited on what Kevin would make out of it lol
Itâs literally the first thing I think of
Pretty sure he's the main reason EA keeps making them.
19:39 The boy who is being whisked away to safety would've honestly been a more accurate title for Harry Potter, all things considered.
"The boy who was failed by social services"
I'm becoming worried how in-tune Kevin and Jim seem. See: the perfectly timed evil laugh 1:47
Who can be disapointed, This is a Masterpiece, Now let's make this battle royale between babys.
Sims team is bound to patch whatever Kevin does lmao
â@HackermanACK they need to fix the infsnt bug where they get glued to their parents' legs if they get put down for bed
I love that the baby noises in the sims are clearly just adults trying to make baby noises and not being very convincing.
I would adore a DLC that is just real children cries from China
For real, Sims 3 has real babies doing the sounds⊠I mean, it IS a lot more convincing anyway!
It's gotta be one of the most abnoxious gaming sounds of all time.
Real babies crying would be a lot more grating I have to imagine
â@@TaikaJamppa instead, they replace the pet sounds with humans đ„Č I can't stand having cats in the sims 3
OMG the evil laugh in the background after "science baby" was so perfectđđđđ
expansion pack: we wanted to create a gameplay focus on deep family bondâ€
Kevin: đ„BABY BATTLE ROYALđ„
Sims team: you can have babies all by yourself now!
Jim Pickens Lore Chroniclers: AT LAST. OUR FIGHT WILL BE TRULY LEGENDARY
Kevin being confused by the learning animation is too relatable đđ
Been waiting for this accurate product review đ
Me: Wow, Kevin actually cares about the babies for once.
Also me: *remembers he only has them for a battle royal*
Well they're being treated better than his Sims 2 babies. At least he's not eating them this time around.
An excerpt of the Wikipedia article to r/K selection theory:
"The concepts of quantity [r-strategists] or quality offspring [K-strategists] are sometimes referred to as "cheap" or "expensive", a comment on the expendable nature of the offspring and parental commitment made.
[...] An unstable environment would encourage the parent to make many offspring, because the likelihood of all (or the majority) of them surviving to adulthood is slim. In contrast, more stable environments allow parents to confidently invest in one offspring because they are more likely to survive to adulthood."
...I feel like we can learn basic evolution mechanics here.
Yeah, medieval families often had a good number of children, due to the unlikeliness of any of them surviving. Strangely enough, poor Victorian families didn't have many kids, despite the fact they'd likely die in infanthood.
Kevin's "WHAT?!" at 27:04 has me in tears đđ€Ł
We need a full family tree recap for the entire Pickens line. Every single baby from every episode
The crazy thing is that this is still one of Kevin's more successful parenting endeavors on The Sims
Even the ghost feels sorry for him and the babies. đ
I've never worried about Jim's life so much before, even when he was fighting with the mother plant
I thought he would starve to death at any momentđł
Other simmers: 7 infant challenge!
Meanwhile Kevin:
I imagine that the way Kevin names sims is the same process that celebrities use to name their children
Ever since infants came out, Iâve been looking forward to this video. Thanks Kevo!
Kevin never disappoints with his new and sadistic and twisted ideas lmao
While still somehow being less sadistic & twisted than EA.
I hate the new dialogue menu and Iâm glad Iâm not the only one that canât find shit lol
Kevin: Fun a family pack, letâs make a baby battle royal!
E.A.: watches the video and updates it so you canât do baby battle royal anymore.
I feel bad for whoever is in charge of Jim's family tree
Days without Kevin kidnapping someone between his walls: 0
I giggled so hard at "Expirment". I was really rooting for them. đ
Iâm always excited to see just how unhinged Kevin can get with the sims and he has yet to disappoint
Iâm not going to lie I would genuinely watch an hourlong play through of Kevin playing soms
soms-BODY once told me
Soms fear
I love how Kevin said upfront that this video gets wacky. Because of course all his other Sims videos are so normal, so we needed the warningđ
đ€Ł
"stick around to the end, this one is a little bit wacky" coming from Kevin I don't doubt it đ
I thought you forgot that they turned into Toddlers not Kids but then I saw them walking by themselves and choosing to sleep in the tents and realised youâd actually read the situation better than me.
Kevin: does something weird in the sims
the sims dev: noted
Just wait until kevin discovers the new sleeping bags
The half done hairdo Gin Pickens had in the second stage was perfect. She looked more neglected than if she had it loose.
The word Baby and the phrase "Battle Royale" were two things I never expected to be put together
I was really wondering if Kevin had known anything about the new pack. Ya know, like about how it included a new life stage. He really seemed surprised by it.
jimâs toothless thumbnail face is almost as terrifying as all those babies. almost.
EA: How many babies DLCs do we need?
Kevin: as many as I can abuse
EA: Get help
We're entering an epic new character arc for Jim. Can't wait to see where this goes.
Normal Sims videos: I try out the new Sims pack!
Kevin's Sims video: i created a baby battle royal
you're amazing Kevin, hope you're well :3
This is so chaotic, it is overwhelming me omg
I would be so stressed that I would never touch this save again once I was done with it LOL
I've been waiting so long to see what kind of havoc Kevin will wreak with infants.
Every time a new DLC comes out Kevin never fails to surprise me lol
Not only is Kevin awesome, but shout out to the editors for being awesome too! Maybe one day we'll consider letting you out of the basement. Back to work! :)
Anyone else watch most of this video constantly waiting for Kevin to realize he could make the remaining bedroom *his* room and locking the door to sleep?
Most simmers: *Create a family and build a house*
Kevin: Battle Royale!
Kevin is a parenting genius.
Fun fact: Kevins OG Sims Battle Royale video was my introduction to this series as a whole
I waited so long to see what Kevin would do with the update and this did not disappointđ
This whole video I kept confusing the bottles with candles set on the floor all around the babies.. like some kind of altar or sacrificial ceremony đ
Itâs unbelievable that SIMS 4 content can be this entertaining đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł love your commentary man, please keep doing what youâre doing
This title gotta be one of the most creative so far that i forget that it's still the sims
This has no right to be this funny omwđđđđđâ€ïž one of your best vids imo!
That pop up with the dirty little horder once popped up when my sim only had a toilet and a bed đđđ
I've only recently started watching your stuff regularly and I've been missing out! The way you play and comment on the quirks of the Sims makes me laugh out loud. IDK why I wrote this I just wanted to let you know I'm enjoying your stuff, thanks for the giggles!
Kevin is such a silly goose with his silly goose ideas
20 seconds in and I can already tell this is gonna be one of those âKevin but the context wouldnât even helpâ videos!
I donât know how he even thinks of these things but I love it
I recently learned that in the MC Command Center mod, you can set it to make neglected kids get adopted. A random household will take them in, and they wonât get erased from your game.
The âNo Pickens?â meme was absolutely hilarious
Kevin never fails at making me laugh, even if he does fail at other things.
The little poof of smell that lingers after the baby is whisked away is killing me
Kevin, i think the ghost had empathy for the babies, not for Jim
When you see âbaby battle royaleâ in the title you just know Jim Pickens is going to be involved
Hi Kevin, love your videos you are the best Contant creator I now
Kevin - I hope you see this, the sound of your chuckling is music to my ears⊠Youâre videos are perfect for giggling uncontrollably even if youâre depressed Iâm so grateful xxxxx đ đźđȘ
by far my favorite series on the channel please continue making more sims
Well this was about what I expected from Kevin when it came to infants.
Yes Kevin thank you so much I love all the Sims 4 content my favorite series on this channel
New call me Kevin sims video, great way to come home from work on my birthday!!!
Yes I can't wait to watch Sims 4 babies fight to the death
So nice to see another episode of Jim's life
Kevin knows the battle royale genre is trending right now and chose to capitalize on it at the cost of the lives of children.
Truly a business genius.
this was amazing, i can't wait for part 2!
This video had me laughing out loud from start to finish. I never would have thought of doing a baby battle royale in The Sims, but you made it work so well. Your creativity and humor are truly unmatched, and it's clear that you put a lot of effort into making this video. I can't wait to see what other hijinks you get up to in future Sims videos. Keep up the amazing work!
23:59 The moment when Kevin thought that toddlers would be able to bathe themselves..
