Hi, I have a spreadsheet to convert Fahrenheit to outdated temp scales specifically I am having issue with the formula for Reaumur scale. The formula =(A3-32)*4/9 should convert 500 deg fahrenheit (in cell A3) to -208 Reaumur. It displays only a positive number of 208. I've tried changing the formatting of the cells to allow negative numbers and show in red, but this does not fix the issue. Do you have any ideas?

Try to turn off auto spelling correction. Tools>Auto Spelling Checking. Or Shift + F7

@@kimchee94112 Thank you both for the auto selecting words question and your answer about & where to find the Tools>Auto Spelling Checking.
Whenever I would type 1st 2nd 3rd etc it would shrink the st nd rd etc which made it hard for me to read & I found very annoying. So I would have to put a space or ' like 3 rd or 3'rd to keep from shrinking, but your answer led me to find right below Tools>Auto Spelling Checking the solution I needed which was Tools>AutoCorrect Options ...>Localized Options and unchecking Format ordinal suffixes (1st-> 1^st)
So thanks again, so glad to be able to make it stop doing that & finding some of the other options there.

At about 2:16 you mention using "minus 1" to get the percent change. I can't get that to work. "Minus 1" just does the job of -1.

Why is the column total completely wrong? My recent spreadsheet compared to the previous back up version is over by $10,000 ?? Thanks in advance for any insights. I see that there are some hidden rows ??? Why would some rows be suddenly hidden? I have to pull it down to see there are hidden rows, that are out of sequence as well. ???? 1784 to 1804 ?? STRANGE
